About tracee

I am the great granddaughter of Gus and Ana Spitzmiller and the granddaughter of Barbara and Gordon Spitzmiller--on the Lorens side. My Dad was Chris Lorens and he was picked from this County to go to the Olympics. I now live in California and recently inherited my dad's property. I have 3 cabins on 6 acres and all are remodeled. I also have a house right where the river enters the lake--if you ever want a 2700 sq. ft. rental, with a Billion dollar view.

tracee purchased this cabin in 1890

Why tracee chose Rocky Mountain National Park

Because it is gorgeous and has everything anyone would ever want to feel at home, but in total luxury. You will love the fine wood furniture and the cashmere throw and the art in both the finishing and decor and in the location and view. Plus Grand Lake is an amazing recreational venue. It is the highest natural lake in the State, and the largest natural body of water in Colorado. It borders Rocky Mountain National Park, and in addition to the summer lake and hiking activities, it boasts 125 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, and they are so gorgeous it is known as the snowmobile capital of the State. Grand Lake has live theater in the summer, a private yacht club, marinas, docks, and our property site where the river enters shadow mountain lake. So, you have the added benefit of wetlands and canoeing.

And the canoes are included in the rate!

What makes this cabin unique

Just remodeled-- central heat, fireplace with wood included-- fully furnished and equipped, incl a W/D. Egyptian linens, towels, etc. travetine bath and seamless glass shower. Art everywhere and vintage wood furnishings. oriental rugs--just homey and beautiful and luxurious.

Amazing lakefront cabin right near the national park

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect. It has plenty of room for the entire family and has tons of activities nearby. We took the canoes around the lake and saw some elk crossing right near us! There were also moose that came and ate the vegetation next to the property. We had a fire going outside each night and relaxed to the sounds of the Colorado river just 20 feet from us. Such a tranquil and beautiful spot.

Secret

  • 5 of 5

Well, I didn't want to write a review because I don't want people to know about this magical place ; )

But at the same time, I needed it to let people know that our experience was lovely. The cabin looks so much better in person and it had everything we needed it. We loved it. We will be back. Thank you for sharing it with us. This place sure is a treasure! Thank you again.
