Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, minutes from historic downtown McMinnville

1330 Ford is an elegant, single story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home, on a 1/3 of an acre. The house is located blocks from the Historic downtown area of McMinnville.

Karen and I have tried to create a relaxed environment, a comfortable vacation home to accommodate families, the outdoor enthusiast, as well as small groups looking to get away and indulge in Oregon's wine, beer and farmer-foodie culture. 1330 Ford is just minutes to several wineries, local tasting rooms, great restaurants and the Public Market on Saturdays. Also nearby is McMinnville High School, the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum and Linfield College. You can be in Portland or drive to the Oregon coastline in less than an hour.

The home features mid-century modern decor, gorgeous hardwood floors, and large windows offering beautiful views of the yard from every room. The bedrooms are large and offer privacy for couples and friends traveling together. Each bedroom is well appointed with new beds and fresh cozy linens. The large fully equipped kitchen with center island is great for cooking or just hanging out and visiting. It has a wood burning fireplace which adds to the charm - great for roasting marshmallows or warming up a chilly Oregon morning.

The fenced backyard features some of Oregon's favorites - maple, walnut, and apple trees and you can even enjoy fresh raspberries and blueberries when they are in season. Plenty of room for your well behaved dog or simply enjoying some quiet privacy with a glass of wine.

For your entertainment, this home features wi-fi, cable, a dvd player and for your convenience a washer and dryer.

We are very excited to share this home with you and truly hope you enjoy your stay.

About Michele Bertagna

Karen and I fell in love with McMinnville a year ago, and made the decision to purchase a home here. 1330 Ford is our vacation home, but we want to share it with others so they can fall in love with this area as we have.

Michele Bertagna purchased this house in 2012

Clean but...

  • 3 of 5

The house was clean inside but there was a damp mildew odor in the kitchen/den area. Two of the beds need upgrading, especially the middle bedroom. Usually VRBO rental properties supply bath soap or bath/shower gel for at least one night but none was available. The patio needs substantial repair. The A/C unit in the back bedroom did not adequately cool the room. The short walk to downtown was great and there was adequate off street parking. We travel to the area often with guests who want to visit the wine country and will probably not use this property again.

Owner's Response: First, want to say thanks for staying, but Karen and I are sorry to hear that your stay was not optimal. Always tough to hear less than positive feedback. That said, I do appreciate the candid feedback, and will investigate the mildew odor you mention and consider some of the other things you mention. Jay

Nice clean property that met all our travel needs. Very comfortable, well maintained spacious property with nice amenities. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Only minor complaint: very slow wifi.

Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth stay in this property and another is scheduled for this summer. The house is roomy, always very clean, and in a quiet neighborhood with a two car garage for indoor parking. The manager is responsive any questions or concerns. Our return visits tell you more about this property than any thing else. It's a great place to stay.

Very Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for a weekend visiting our daughter who is a student at George Fox in Newberg. The house was comfortable and clean. Most things that are needed were thought of and provided. It was a good place to stay. I would stay there again

Comfortable, Spacious Home

  • 5 of 5

The photos don't do this justice. It's a great house - large and styled to maximize space but also feel very comfortable. Possibly the cleanest rental we've experienced. Walking distance to the heart of downtown (3rd Street) and plenty of wineries, restaurants, and shops.
