I was very disappointed in this property. I requested directions prior and never received them. The address given online was a partial address. Since the owner speaks very little English, the cab driver had to get directions on the phone. They seemed surprised when we actually arrived as if they weren't expecting us. The description said it was a short 15 minutes to the center of Milan. That is only by train, so I was surprised by how far it actually was from Milan. The property is best described as very rustic. Our sheets and the bath mat were not clean. The mattress was very old. Breakfast consisted of a store bought pastry and water or juice from a vending machine. Definitely gave new meaning to "bed and breakfast." I was expecting a stand alone apartment and was very surprised to find that our 4 bedrooms actually shared the kitchen with another guest. The staircase was made of rough 2 by 4s and creaked - didn't feel safe! Not what was portrayed in the website!
Located in Novate Milanese, this B&B was a perfect location for us attending the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Close to train station and many shops and restaurants. The unit we stayed in was spacious and air conditioned (which we really needed) and had a lovely shaded patio. The kitchen was small and appliances were older but worked fine for us. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that we had to listen to another tenant/renters dogs barking for hours late one night. Once we communicated this to the caretaker & owner it was quickly resolved. Overall, a very positive experience!
We had great difficulty accessing the front door because of one way streets and our GPS system did not function, probably because of a lot of construction in the road systems for the World's Fair. The Host never did send us directions on how to get there even though we asked VRBO specifically. Ultimately, the property is well located, near the transit station and with relatively easy access the road network.
The appliances have seen better days and the electric system would probably not pass code standards. The apartment was spacious and quiet and on the whole worked for us, a group of 8.
We were 6 adults and 6 children stayed at this place late June and early July. We found these apartments very clean in a nice neighbourhood where the grocery shops, bakeries, pharmacy and few other shops nearby. We had very comfortable stay and we would like to stay again in this place when we are in Milan.
I would also like to thank Franco who welcomed us warmly and showed us few places to visit.
We found this place with HomeAway website. After a few emails exchanges, we decided to rent this apartment. We are from Canada and it was scary, to rent something so far away. When we arrived, we found this place exactly as it is described on their website and HomeAway website. This is great location. It is close to everything We were not that lucky with a weather, so the apartment was not so worm in the beginning, but after we had no problems. We had a great time staying there. The only thing I would say was not that great, it was WI-FI. It was not working sometimes when we needed. Everything else, such as cleanness, serves, and people who run it, were very good. We will be back in Milan, every spring and plan to rent it again. I would recommend it to everyone.
I have stayed here on two occasions and would highly recommend it, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The apartments are clean, well equipped, and serviced daily, you will also have the use of secure parking which is hard to find in Milan. There is also ample shops, restaurants, bars and cash machines in the area, and my favorites are the family run bakery and ice cream shop just around the corner, the grocery shop two doors down is also very handy. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Milan in September.
