Welcome to KaMilo Unit 103, where you are invited to experience the warmth and aloha that truly embody the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands!
This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home located within the lushly landscaped Mauna Lani Resort, features all the best there is to offer. Granite countertops are featured in the kitchen and bathrooms, along with beautiful hardwood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances.
Each bedroom has been professionally decorated by a local interior designer to tastefully incorporate Hawaiian motifs and showcase island artists.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed and wall-mounted flatscreen tv, with an en-suite bathroom that has twin vanities, a soaking tub, walk-in shower, walk-in closet, and water closet.
The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds. These bedrooms each have wall-mounted flatscreens, and access to a full bath with laundry facilities adjacent. A half bath is conveniently located next to the kitchen for the use of all guests.

KaMilo at Mauna Lani boasts the largest rec center in the resort, complete with a lap pool for those who insist on exercising while on vacation, and a lagoon-style pool for those who prefer to limit their strenuous activities to lifting their mai tais from the table to their mouths. A workout gym with free weights, cardio and static machines allow guilt free wining and dining to occur at any one of the fabulous restaurants and bars the area is known for.
Speaking of dining, there are a dozen fine dining restaurants within a ten minute drive of KaMilo, and you should try them all if you have the time!
Just a stone's throw away from KaMilo are The Shops at Mauna Lani, where a variety of fine dining options await. The Island inspired Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and Monstera Sushi, as well as the new Blue Room restaurant are all excellent choices for a nice meal out. Merriman's in Waimea offers a fine selection of locavore cuisine to delight the pickiest of palates, while the al fresco dining experience at The Blue Dragon entices those who enjoy live music and dancing under the stars. Roy's at Waikoloa leads the pack with a dazzling array of pan-pacific fusion that is sure to leave you satisfied, and Three Fat Pigs brings a touch of the Mainland gastropub sensation to this humble island resort. Manta at Mauna Kea has some of the best views of the sunset and ocean that you will see anywhere on the island, in an intimate atmosphere that boasts live piano music and a wine bar, along with manta ray sightings nearly every night! And last, but certainly not least, Lava Lava Beach Club at Waikoloa Resort has a fantastic beachfront locale, with entertainment nightly, and Happy Hour from 3-5 most afternoons.
For the morning person, Kimobean Coffee is located conveniently at The Shops at Mauna Lani, while the gold standard Starbucks is a quick drive away, at the Queen's Shops in Waikoloa. For a hearty breakfast, make sure you take the trip up to Waimea for a bite to eat at Hawaiian Style Cafe, and if you have a chance to pair it with a visit to the Saturday morning farmer's markets in Waimea, all the better!

KaMilo is unlike any other development in the Mauna Lani Resort, with a beautiful collection of single family and paired homes that have access to the largest and best amenities center in the resort. Unlike some developments where the pool and recreation area is put in almost as an afterthought, at KaMilo it really is the 'piece de resistance' that sets this community apart from the rest.
One of the truly great things about our unit in KaMilo is the fact that we share a wall with only one other home. We are not surrounded on all sides with other condo units like at many 4, 6 and 8 plex condos, so we get a real sense of privacy and luxury that is typically only afforded to much more exclusive residences. When you walk in the home and feel the soft and smooth coconut hardwood floors beneath your feet, you just feel the stress melt away, and you know your vacation has begun.
We had a wonderful time on the Big Island and this property was just the best! Super clean, well stocked and so comfortable. The mountain view from the master suite was such a treat to wake up to each morning and the patio area was perfect for coffee and reading. The older kids enjoyed their space and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us! The pool and workout area on the property was also close and convenient. We would for sure rent this unit again - it was probably the nicest place overall that we have ever stayed. Our rental was awesome everything we needed was supplied. Great location to go north or south. Easy access and great evenings on the Lani!
My wife and I just returned from our 3rd visit to Mauna Lani and KaMilo is by far our favorite neighborhood. The homes are beautiful and constructed very well with high quality materials. This particular unit was designer furnished and made our vacation just perfect. The property manager Kai always went above and beyond with requests and to get questions answered.
The view off the lanai is beautiful looking towards the Kohala mountains over the golf course. The patio had a great sofa and chairs, which we spent every morning out on relaxing and reading. The retracting wall of glass is beautiful and made it feel as though we were outside. The master bed was very comfortable, as were the other furnishings in the house. The AC is strong in this house and much appreciated for the hot afternoons.
This unit literally has everything you could possibly need. All soaps (including dish and laundry), paper products, and a fully stocked kitchen with all the supplies you could need. There were 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and mats that we took to Black Sand Beach….just a short golf cart ride away.
We loved our morning walks along the beach path that went all the way from the Fairmont down past the beach club and back. It was a few miles but a great way to start the day. Don’t miss Black Sand Beach, entrance at 49 Black Sand Beach security where they give you a parking pass to park right at the beach. Tommy Bahama had a great happy hour as did Lava Lava in Waikoloa. The nearby Foodland is always a hit for us and we have found it’s not worth it to go to the larger stores in Kona as pricing is about inline.
We would love to return next year, but learned the unit was sold and the new owner is not planning to rent it out. We will still return to KaMilo and would love to work with Kai again at another property that he manages. He is the best and most responsive property manager we have met. Thanks again for everything!
Very well-maintained and well-appointed. Kai and Burt were great. While the location is not along the ocean, it does have a very peaceful patio setting and is a short walk to the beach. Great running/walking trails. We used the electric car to get to local restaurants and events within the Mauna Lani area. The development pool needs to be better maintained. One of the hot tubs jets were not working and there was a lot of debris in the pool (with no skimmer available). Only one small suggestion----place towels hooks in the master bathroom. We definitely plan to return to this rental!

We had a great return to the Big Island. After moving away 10 years ago, this was a great place to stage our family vacation from. All the luxury of home, but on the incredible Mauna Lani property. Access to the Shops at the Mauna Lani was perfectly convenient. Kai made the whole experience very easy. We will be back very soon. Aloha!
