Overview

Amalfi Coast Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 1 Bedroom, 3 Baths (Sleeps 2-3), 2 Gardens, Garage

Villa Rosinella is located in one of the most exclusive areas of Amalfi, along the famous 163 road connecting all the Amalfi Coast towns, near the well-known Santa Caterina Hotel. The Villa is just renovated and never used before as a vacation rental.

It’s like a gem set in the stone and from its windows, its terrace and the garden it’s possible to admire directly the classical view celebrated by a lot of postcards on Amalfi, a little town with a glorious past of maritime Republic. Thanks to the old tower on its side, guests can feel as ancient romans or as a poet or an artist, enjoying the quiet of these areas for their holidays.

Villa Rosinella, with its 60 sq. m., is a little rarity, for being one of the few accommodations on the Amalfi Coast to have a street level access, with no long flights of stairs or tortuous paths to reach it.

In this gracious villa it is possible to find the best elements of the Amalfi Coast. The sun is already present, due to the extraordinary position. The sea, which the villa directly overlooks to, without elements impeding its view, is crossed by dozens of wonderful boats during the day and typical fish lamps at night, to catch the tasty red squids. The lemons, whose fragrance enjoyable directly from the trees in the garden of the villa, are the basis for many local desserts such as the famous 'Delizie' based on lemon cream, and the liquor 'Limoncello'. The rocks of the Coast draw the lines of the Amalfi Coast in a way that make it one of the most important touristic destinations in the world. The barrel vaults, typical of many ancient homes on the Coast, ensure cool in summer and warm in winter.

Villa Rosinella can accommodate 3 guests in the double bedroom and on a furniture bed, that can be placed in the first room or in the new fitness room.

Starting from the garage for bikes, with a toilet and a stovetops (if you don't want to cook directly in the villa), there is a brand new fitness room (with a private bathroom with shower), a little room with washing machine and a wash and then the solarium terrace, with sunbeds, solar umbrella and a shower. On the terracotta ground, there is a splendid majolica wind rose and there, it is possible to live wonderful relax moments under sun or moon light, with the Tyrrhenian Sea in front of the guests.

On the left of the terrace there is the entrance to the rooms of Villa Rosinella, actually separated in two rooms and the bathrooms, each one with a wonderful view on Amalfi center and the sea.

The first one has a little electric kitchen angle with coffee maker, microwave oven, toaster, grill, fridge with freezer and a complete set of elements for cooking. On the opposite side there is a comfortable sofa-bed for one person. The room is air-conditioned.

The next room is a splendid double bedroom with luxury furniture, air-conditioning, television set and all the necessary for a comfortable staying. The room has a little balcony.

After the bedroom there is a large majolica-tiled bathroom with all the accessories, a large shower and a wonderful window.

Using a panoramic ramp of stairs, from the solarium it’s possible to reach the two levels garden of Villa Rosinella. The first is the smaller one with pomegranate trees, while the second one has beautiful typical Amalfi lemon trees, with a table and chairs for guests. The panoramic view from the gardens is even better.

It’s not necessary to have private transportation to stay at Villa Rosinella. It’s possible to park motorbikes or scooter in the private garage and the car just outside of it, without any risk because the area is very quiet. Otherwise there is a bus stop near the Villa, connecting to the center of Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and Agerola without other changes. It’s really difficult to find a more versatile solution.

Villa Rosinella is covered by free wireless broadband internet connection.

The nearest beach is the Duoglio one and a private lift service can be used, paying a little daily price reserved to Villa Rosinella’s guest. The access point is one minute on foot off the Villa. In the same position you will find a good restaurant with special discounts for guests.

Transfers to/from train stations or airports and mini-tours in the Amalfi Coast and surroundings are available on request at very special prices..

A wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

In May 2016 we spent 6 wonderful nights at Villa Rosinella, enjoying all the attractions of the Amalfi coast. The location is fantastic with panoramic views and easy access to the entire area. (We did not have a car, and didn't need one as the bus and ferry service is easy to use.) The Villa itself is equipped with every comfort and is spotlessly clean. But the most memorable aspect of our visit was the wonderful hospitality of our hosts, Guiseppe, Carmela and Gianfranco. The picked us up from the station at Salerno and drove us to the Villa, pointing out attractions along the way. We found an amazing array of goodies in the Villa - biscuits, cakes, bread, cold meats, fresh fruits, a range of coffees and teas, bottles of wine, homemade limoncello - such generosity! This lovely family did everything possible to ensure that we had a wonderful time in this beautiful area, and of course we did! At the end of our stay, Guiseppe and Carmela picked us up and drove us all the way to Naples. We recommend Villa Rosinella most sincerely, and have already passed on the details to other friends planning to travel to Italy. Thank you so much, Carmela, Guiseppe and Gianfranco - we had a fantastic time!

Villa Rosinella: Beautiful place and wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from our stay at Villa Rosinella and cannot tell you how much we loved it. Although we made our trip just before the start of the season, the villa helped us get a true sense of amalfi with its garden, amazing views and location. The "postcard" shot of Amalfi is literally in front of our apartment and tourists stop daily to take photos of what we see every morning at breakfast on the balcony.

Our hosts were incredibly inviting and warm. The house was FULLY stocked with food, drinks and bathroom necessities, as well as the nice touch of chocolates by the bedside. Because we were street level there is considerable amount of traffic noise that you get used to after a day or two. Light sleepers should be aware of this.

Only other "meh" thing was that the shower head was not great in terms of water pressure. Ended up using the handheld portion the entire trip. Europeans are probably fine with this. It was just new for us.

Watching sunrises from bed, drinking cappucinos on the balcony and trying pastries Giuseppe brought us or lemons from his garden made the trip unforgettable. Who cares about water pressure when the bathroom window view is of the Sea.

A few noteworthy things to other guests:

We were a little slow on picking up on the bus stop close by, doing multiple trips up and down the hill to town. Figure out the bus system from that stop quickly to save yourself time, and literal energy - especially when just trying to get to other towns.

We drove but you don't need a car, and in peak season I'm sure its annoying no matter where you stay. We drove to Pompeii one day and lost the parking spot in front of the villa.

Overall the stay was amazing and we would definitely stay here again. All the best to Giuseppe and his family!

Beautiful Apartment with a Grand View!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Villa Rosinella for 8 nights at the end of October 2015. The Villa is gorgeous and well equipped. Our host was very hospitable and brought by goodies a couple of times. Every morning we had our breakfast out on the terrace overlooking the sea, with Amalfi in the distance. It's a bit of a walk to town, mostly along the road, but drivers there are very aware of pedestrians. We did day walks all over the peninsula from our Villa base. The buses are really very good and prompt, with a stop just down the road at a hotel. Of course, the food, wine and Limoncello was excellent every where we went. We wouldn't hesitate a second to stay at Villa Rosinalla again next time we are in Amalfi!

Villa Rosinella II: Worth the Climb

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Villa Rosinella II for 5 nights recently. Our stay in Amalfi was the best part of our trip to Italy. The weather, views and food were just wonderful, but also the warmth of Guiseppe and Gianfranco and the comforts of Villa Rosinella II were a great bonus.

The villa is a climb through lemon groves and terraced houses which rewards you with a spacious apartment and unbelievable views. We enjoyed dinner on the terrace many nights and slept soundly in air-conditioned comfort at night. The villa is about a 10 minute walk to town (we gave ourselves 30 min to climb back up), and is provided with every convenience you can think of. All of the appliances worked well, we really appreciated the washer and the consistent wi-fi service.

While in Amalfi we hiked to nearby towns, toured the paper museum, hiked the val de ferrierre, visited Capri and the beach. We enjoyed all of these activities (the crowds of Capri the least) but our favorite was coming home to Villa Rosinella II and watching the boats and sunset from the terrace.

Gianfranco and Guiseppe treated us like family and made a great experience even better. We hope to be able to return again to this beautiful place!

Beautiful Place, View and Wonderful Owner!

  • 5 of 5

The VRBO property title: "A Gem in the Stone with a Spectacular View" is RIGHT ON!! Owner, Giuseppe, is also a GEM! Villa Rosinella was exceptionally clean and well-furnished. We very much appreciated Giuseppe's attention to detail and extraordinary hosting care. The kitchen was VERY well stocked, and Giuseppe even delivered some of his favorite pastries to us. The views from the villa...especially the patio, are spectacular...day and night! Many, many people stop and take pictures of Amalfi from the sidewalk across the street. Trips to Amalfi, Ravello, Positano and Capri were delightful!! This was a trip and accommodations to remember!!

Unbelievable Amalfi Coast View

  • 5 of 5

We were welcomed by Giuseppe, Carmela and JohnFranco like family. They are very sincere and shared their gardens harvests of lemons, tomatoes, eggplant, figs and garlic! Carmela gave us delicious bakery cakes and Giuseppe opened a lovely red wine and "salute"! Their villa is gorgeous and so wonderfully decorated. Very nice touches in the bedroom with chocolates at the bedside tables to nicely scented soaps and lotions in the bathroom. The kitchen was truly stocked with pastas, EVOO, Balsamic, specialty crackers, coffee, wines, BEER, and the refrigerator with fruits, yogurt, milk, etc. No need to rush out and find a grocery store.

The patio has comfortable seating with an umbrella table. We had very warm temperatures and the outside shower was a joy to cool off with as needed. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful and the nightlights of Amalfi twinkling were perfect, plus we saw fireworks over the sea! The location is a short walk into town and it's probably best not to have a car there. We enjoy walking and taking our time. We would certainly recommend this Gem and thank Giuseppe and his family for sharing their Italian Villa and making a beer run for John!!!
