Overview

About the property

Villa, 1 Bedroom, 2 Baths (Sleeps 2-3), 2 Gardens, Garage for 2 wheeled vehicle

Villa Rosinella is located in one of the most exclusive areas of Amalfi, along the famous 163 road connecting all the Amalfi Coast towns, near the well-known Santa Caterina Hotel. The Villa is just renovated and never used before as a vacation rental.

It’s like a gem set in the stone and from its windows, its terrace and the garden it’s possible to admire directly the classical view celebrated by a lot of postcards on Amalfi, a little town with a glorious past of maritime Republic. Thanks to the old tower on its side, guests can feel as ancient romans or as a poet or an artist, enjoying the quiet of these areas for their holidays.

Villa Rosinella, with its 60 sq. m., is a little rarity, for being one of the few accommodations on the Amalfi Coast to have a street level access, with no long flights of stairs or tortuous paths to reach it.

In this gracious villa it is possible to find the best elements of the Amalfi Coast. The sun is already present, due to the extraordinary position. The sea, which the villa directly overlooks to, without elements impeding its view, is crossed by dozens of wonderful boats during the day and typical fish lamps at night, to catch the tasty red squids. The lemons, whose fragrance enjoyable directly from the trees in the garden of the villa, are the basis for many local desserts such as the famous 'Delizie' based on lemon cream, and the liquor 'Limoncello'. The rocks of the Coast draw the lines of the Amalfi Coast in a way that make it one of the most important touristic destinations in the world. The barrel vaults, typical of many ancient homes on the Coast, ensure cool in summer and warm in winter.

Villa Rosinella can accommodate 3 guests in the double bedroom and on a furniture bed, that can be placed in the first room or in the new fitness room. It's ideal for 2 adults and a child up to 14 years old.

Starting from the private garage for 2-wheeled vehicles with a toilet , there is a brand new fitness room (with a private bathroom with shower), a little room with washing machine, a lpg stovetops (if you don't want to cook directly in the villa) and a wash. Then there is a solarium terrace with sunbeds, solar umbrella and a shower. On the terracotta ground, there is a splendid majolica wind rose and there it is possible to live wonderful relax moments under sun or moon light, with the Tyrrhenian Sea in front of the guests.

On the left of the terrace there is the entrance to the internal rooms of Villa Rosinella, actually separated in two rooms and the bathroom, each one with a wonderful view on Amalfi center and the sea.

The first one has a little electric kitchen angle with coffee maker, microwave oven, toaster, grill, fridge with freezer and a complete set of elements for cooking. On the opposite side there is a comfortable furniture-bed for one person. The room is air-conditioned.

The next room is a splendid double bedroom with luxury furniture, air-conditioning, television set and all the necessary for a comfortable staying. Starting from Jan 2017, Villa Rosinella has a brand new and comfortable memory foam matress. It has italian size that is something between queen and king size. The room has a little balcony. overlooking the sea. The room is air conditioned.

After the bedroom there is a large majolica-tiled bathroom with all the accessories, a large shower and a wonderful window on the sea.

Using a panoramic ramp of stairs from the solarium, it’s possible to reach the two levels garden of Villa Rosinella. The first is the smaller one with pomegranate trees, while the second one has beautiful typical Amalfi lemon trees, with a table and chairs for guests. The panoramic view from the gardens is even better.

Villa Rosinella has a daily gardening service operated by totally trusted people that can help guests for any possible issue.

It’s not necessary to have private transportation to stay at Villa Rosinella. It’s possible to park motorbikes or scooter in the private garage and the car just outside of it, without any risk because the area is very quiet.

Otherwise there is a bus stop near the Villa, connecting to the center of Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and Agerola without other changes. It’s really difficult to find a more versatile solution.

Villa Rosinella is covered by free wireless broadband internet connection.

The nearest beach is the Duoglio one and a private lift service can be used, paying a little daily price reserved to Villa Rosinella’s guest. The access point is one minute on foot off the Villa. In the same position guests will find a good restaurant with special discounts for them.

Transfers to/from train stations or airports and mini-tours in the Amalfi Coast and surroundings are available on request at very special prices..

Amazing Villa Best view

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from spending 11 day’s in this beautiful spotless Amalfi Villa. We want to thank Giuseppe and Gianfranco for suppling us with such a wonderful assortment of food! They stocked the refrigerator with Milk, fresh local mozzarella and ricotta (which where to die for) Italian meats, local red and white wine, prosecco, local Limoncello, beer and loads of bottled water. They even leave chocolate by the bed. The pantry was stocked with coffee, tea, bread, breadsticks, cookies, jams, Nutella, pasta, canned tomatoes, oils, vinegar and spice’s. Giuseppe even picked us some fresh lemons from his lemon trees above the villa. We enjoyed them every day in our water!!!! The villa is also stocked with dish soap, hand soap, bath soap, shampoo, Q-tips, shower cap, tooth paste and brushes and slippers!! We have rented from quite a few houses and villas and we have never experienced a rental so well stocked!!! Giuseppe and Gianfranco really go above and beyond in making sure their guests have everything (and we mean everything) to make it a relaxing stress free vacation!!! They are so sweet and kind! They treat you like family and you feel like you are staying with family!!! The villa is a 10 minute walk to town along the famous Amalfi road with a view of the beautiful Blue sparkling ocean!! We so enjoyed this walk every day!!! The busses and boats are excellent means of transportation to get to the other towns along the coast!! No need to rent a car!! Our favorite was the boats!! We want to thank Alfonso (who is Gianfranco’s cousin) and lives above the villa, for helping us with boat info and helping us arrange a boat ride to the blue grotto and Capri, which we highly recommend you not miss!!! Alfonso is also the kindest man!! And will help with whatever you need! And last but not least is the magnificent view from the terrace, and every window of the Villa. Our favorite was the reflection of the oceans sparkling blue water and cruise ships in the bathroom mirror. What a wonderful and relaxing way to get ready for the day!!!! We cannot express enough how wonderful this Villa is!!! If we are so lucky to get to return to Amalfi again someday we would not hesitate to stay here again. Grazie! Grazie! Giuseppe, Gianfranco and Alfonso for letting us stay in your beautiful Villa!! You treated us like family and we felt like we were leaving home and family!!!!

Speriamo di rivederti i nostri amici

Fantastico!

  • 5 of 5

Amazing, stunning views from the balcony, dining room, bed, and bathroom. All the necessities are generously provided.

Gianfranco is terrific, as is Carmen. They are so kind and thoughtful, and do everything that can be done to assure a fantastic stay in Amalfi.

He was always on time, even for a VERY early drive back to train. We felt like family. We enjoyed the sea, the view, the fresh eggs, the local wine they provided, and even the busy Italian street below.

We highly recommend Villa Rosinella. Unforgettable.

Cozy apartment in Amalfi

  • 5 of 5

Great location, only a 10-15 minute walk to town. The cozy apartment was comfortable for 2. It had excellent views of Amalfi from every window and we enjoyed coffee on the terrace in the mornings. The owners spoke English and were very nice and helpful. They provided a well stocked refrigerator/kitchen with meats, milk, coffee, water, eggs, butter, bread and more. We had no need to go to the store! However, it did take us a while to find the kitchen sink outside near the washer/dryer. The air-conditioning worked great. We would definitely stay here again and hope to come back soon.

Outstanding Villa, View & Hosts!

  • 5 of 5

We cannot say enough about our wonderful stay at this villa! It is everything and more than shown & described on the website. The reviews convinced us to book Villa Rosinella, so we have little to add to all the nice things previously said. We especially appreciated the very high quality & comfortable bedding. We would like to repeat that our hosts were extremely kind, generous and made us feel right at home in their "gem in the rocks". We have already recommended to friends and family and look forward to a return visit someday!

A wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

In May 2016 we spent 6 wonderful nights at Villa Rosinella, enjoying all the attractions of the Amalfi coast. The location is fantastic with panoramic views and easy access to the entire area. (We did not have a car, and didn't need one as the bus and ferry service is easy to use.) The Villa itself is equipped with every comfort and is spotlessly clean. But the most memorable aspect of our visit was the wonderful hospitality of our hosts, Guiseppe, Carmela and Gianfranco. The picked us up from the station at Salerno and drove us to the Villa, pointing out attractions along the way. We found an amazing array of goodies in the Villa - biscuits, cakes, bread, cold meats, fresh fruits, a range of coffees and teas, bottles of wine, homemade limoncello - such generosity! This lovely family did everything possible to ensure that we had a wonderful time in this beautiful area, and of course we did! At the end of our stay, Guiseppe and Carmela picked us up and drove us all the way to Naples. We recommend Villa Rosinella most sincerely, and have already passed on the details to other friends planning to travel to Italy. Thank you so much, Carmela, Guiseppe and Gianfranco - we had a fantastic time!

Villa Rosinella: Beautiful place and wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from our stay at Villa Rosinella and cannot tell you how much we loved it. Although we made our trip just before the start of the season, the villa helped us get a true sense of amalfi with its garden, amazing views and location. The "postcard" shot of Amalfi is literally in front of our apartment and tourists stop daily to take photos of what we see every morning at breakfast on the balcony.

Our hosts were incredibly inviting and warm. The house was FULLY stocked with food, drinks and bathroom necessities, as well as the nice touch of chocolates by the bedside. Because we were street level there is considerable amount of traffic noise that you get used to after a day or two. Light sleepers should be aware of this.

Only other "meh" thing was that the shower head was not great in terms of water pressure. Ended up using the handheld portion the entire trip. Europeans are probably fine with this. It was just new for us.

Watching sunrises from bed, drinking cappucinos on the balcony and trying pastries Giuseppe brought us or lemons from his garden made the trip unforgettable. Who cares about water pressure when the bathroom window view is of the Sea.

A few noteworthy things to other guests:

We were a little slow on picking up on the bus stop close by, doing multiple trips up and down the hill to town. Figure out the bus system from that stop quickly to save yourself time, and literal energy - especially when just trying to get to other towns.

We drove but you don't need a car, and in peak season I'm sure its annoying no matter where you stay. We drove to Pompeii one day and lost the parking spot in front of the villa.

Overall the stay was amazing and we would definitely stay here again. All the best to Giuseppe and his family!
