Destin Townhome Rental Photos and Description

2600 Sq ft Townhouse with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths.

This is a 3 story townhouse in Holiday Isle. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms with more than enough living space. The large kitchen, dining, and living areas open to each other with plenty of room to lounge or play games with the family all while fixing a fabulous meal. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare everything from a can of soup to the Thanksgiving turkey. The 3rd floor includes a master bedroom and a bunk room. The master has a king bed and a sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa. The bunk room has a twin over full bunk and a twin over twin bunk. The bottom floor bedroom includes a queen size bed, a full bath, and is located off the garage. This bedroom is accessed thru the garage. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms with a 1/2 bath off the dining room. The 2nd floor living room has a sleeper sofa. The two car garage houses a recreation area with air hockey, ping-pong, and foosball. There are large balconies off the second and third floors from which Destin Harbor and the beach can be seen. This is not a beachfront property - it is located next door to the beach front property. There are 3 televisions with cable TV and free Wi-Fi. The beach is just a walk thru the dunes with no streets to cross. You can fish off the jetty only 150-200 yards away or snorkel in the protected inlet. Contact Marcie to inquire.

About Marcie Corwin

Brothers, Owen and Byron, purchased the townhouse together as a joint vacation home for their families. There are 13 people in the immediate family including 7 children and grandma and grandpa. We live in Oklahoma which doesn't allow us to visit Destin as often as we would like. We want to share our home by renting it to other families so that they may relax and reconnect in Destin.

The townhouse is beautiful and extremely spacious with easy access to the beach and just as easy access to shopping, restaurants and Destin attractions. The proximity to the beach can't be beat and the jetty for fishing are a plus since fishing is a 'religion' in this family.

A really great house

The house is great.It's in great shape and it has great decor,we loved the fact that the beach was close,great views and a great game room,the area was quiet and peacful,we don't need to drive or anything we can walk easily to the beach,the owners were really nice and were there if you needed anything.Were really thinking of renting the house again next year.

Vacation August 11 thru 16th

This place was awesome. There were 13 of us and we all had a place to sleep comfortably. The house was gorgeous and the kitchen was huge and fully stocked. Neighbors were friendly. Walk to beach was very short and the beach was beautiful. There is nothing I could complain about. The kids loved the garage with ping pong and and foosball and a small refrigerator for drinks. It had a large deck to sit on during the day or nite. The only complaint is I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return again next summer. The master bedroom and bath were to die for. The kids loved the bunk room because they could all be together. Washer and dryer were lifesavers as far as not having to take so many clothes. Did not use barbecue pit but was perfect size if needed. Thanks Marcie. Everyone said best vacation ever.

No nice views of the beach. Air conditioning was ridiculous!!!

The views were not good at all. There was no view from the first floor...underbrush everywhere. The second floor had a nice view of the wall of the building next door. The third floor had a view of the harbor, but you felt like you were in the jungle. There was sand all in the entryway when we arrived. There were also dirty dishes that we found that night while preparing dinner. The air conditioning could not properly keep up. You had to keep the blinds closed to try and maintain the temperature. The third floor stayed SO hot. You had to keep the temp set at 68 to keep it cool, even though it wouldn't maintain that temp. It would be 74 in the house by 10am. It was 78 when we arrived at 3pm that afternoon. It finally reached 72 at 2 am the next morning. The AC guy tried to blame it on humidity. We told him that was ridiculous, because we were from SouthEast Texas and we know humidity. There is no humidity in Florida like it is in Texas. There were light bulbs missing in multiple areas of the house that we had to go buy to replace. A cabinet door fell off in my hand the second day and they never came out to fix it. Hooks also fell off the wall when we went to hang up towels after showers. The third bedroom was actually off of the garage. You couldn't access it from inside the house. You had to go into the garage to get to it. So if you are planning to put kids in there, think again. We weren't happy about that. The outside shower was ridiculous. It didn't have a shower head on it and sprayed such a hard stream that we couldn't use it on our kids. The property landscaping needed MAJOR attention. You had to carefully walk to the outside shower because of all of the growth around the walk path. We wouldn't let our 5 & 7 year old walk over there by themselves. The house was very nice, but there were obviously areas that needed attention.

Owner's Response: We are sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. We try hard to accommodate our guests and to rectify issues as they occur. As noted on VRBO, we do have limited views off the 2nd and 3rd floors. The palm trees that line the back of the house had become over grown and were trimmed once we were made aware of the issue. The guest did voice complaints regarding the cleanliness of the property upon arrival. The housekeeper was contacted and indicated she had a new assistant and that things may have gotten overlooked. We made arrangements for our housekeeper to contact the guest the next morning to identify the issues and to rectify any problems. The housekeeper was told by the guest that she was not needed. We are sorry about the dirty dishes. It is each guest's responsibility to wash dishes prior to departure and to leave the kitchen in a comparable condition as it was found. This was missed by the housekeeper and she would have cleaned the dishes if requested by the guest. I am sorry the air conditioner didn't keep the house as cool as you like, hopefully you were able to utilize the fans that are located throughout the house. We have 2 air conditioning units and the 3rd floor unit was replaced last summer. The air conditioning tech was called upon guest's complaint and he found the units in working order. Our caretaker goes thru the house on occasion and checks for missing lightbulbs and needed repairs. The caretaker would have happily taken care of the lightbulbs had he been informed during his interactions with the guest. Although we ask our guests to treat our home as if it was theirs, that is not always what happens. Unfortunately, things become broken (cabinet doors, towel hooks, etc.) and instead of informing us as we ask our guests to do, they try to repair it themselves or simply put it back into place for the next guest to discover. All issues you noted have been repaired. I have updated our listing with a more detailed description of the location of the 3rd bedroom/bathroom which is located off the garage to avoid confusion in the future. This bedroom is attached to the house and accessed thru the garage door into the house. We do not advertise that we have an outdoor shower. It is not in a convenient location and we never expected guests to use it. We will repair the shower head for those who would like to use it. We have contacted a landscaper to clear the overgrown side of the house as we were not aware that it was problematic.

Lovely townhouse and great location

We spent 3 nights at the townhouse. The house was clean and well kept. The kitchen had all items for cooking. The rooms are big and comfortable for the 6 adults and 6 children in our party. The beach is just awesome. The sand is powdery soft and water is calm and clear. This was a must do again trip.

Best place to stay in Destin!

We were in love with this townhouse the moment we stepped inside! It is very clean and even better than in the photos! There were three kids three adults in our party and the living space was wonderful and roomy! Rainy days were no problem for us as the kids and adults loved the garage equipped with ping pong, air hockey, and foosball! The location to the beach was awesome and our teenagers were able to go to and from the beach without us safely. The neighbors were awesome and so helpful in the area! Rick the maintenance guy was great just stopped by to check on us and also knows the area so well! I was so happy we did not have to walk blocks to the beach! On the harbor was perfect and had less waves on windy days, but this location is perfect for both. We walked to the ocean side in no time. Fishing on the rocks was great! My dolphin loving daughter was in heaven because there were dolphins in the harbor every day and evening! This is definitely the place to be for families! Evenings we walked through the neighborhood as many do and the residents always had a friendly Hello! The owners were great to work with and so glad we got to stay in their home! This is the place to be! I will never rent a condo or hotel again in Florida! Thank you!
