Kate & Ryan Garrison
About Kate & Ryan Garrison
We are huge fans of Hood River and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to share a vacation home with you all. In July, 2012, we purchased this home and remodeled much of the inside to meet the needs of a cozy vacation home. Having a place to stay in Hood River has been a dream of ours for quite some time. Ryan and I (Kate) grew up in Southern Oregon, attended a small high school, Glide High, and made our way to Oregon State University. As high school sweethearts, we married during college and began our busy life together. We now reside in Beaverton Oregon and are enjoying our new family life as first time parents.

This is our second stay at this great home; thank you Kate and Ryan! This time, some family members accompanied us to Hood River; the kitchen provided enough dishes, silverware, and glasses. Felt like being at home!
Will stay here again!
Kate is an absolutely great host! Great location and great and very clean place!
Nice house in convenient location
House had everything we needed and was within walking distance of restaurants/bars/stores. Host was flexible. Overall, a winner.
Great value, great location!
The C St. bungalow was fantastic! I was pleased to find out how close it is to the cute downtown area—a nice walk but not too far. I loved the coziness of the house, and the fact that there is a surprising amount of room. It was excellently equipped and the bed I slept in was super comfortable. I was there by myself and was not at all familiar with the area. Nevertheless, i always felt completely safe. I appreciated being able to park right in front of the house too. One thing—I felt safe walking around at night, but the streets are not well lit. If you simply take a flashlight and maybe have some type of reflective surface on your shoes or clothing, you’ll be just fine. I would love to come back to Hood River next summer, and I hope to book this house again!
Stayed a week for work
This is a wonderful property. Rent it if you get the chance.
Great place for family
We really enjoyed this spot for our family (4 kids) to stay 3 nights as it was more affordable than some of the larger rentals in the area. It was the perfect fit for our family and the kids slept/napped downstairs which allowed us privacy upstairs where we could stay up late and talk or have adult beverages and not have to be silent like we would if everyone was sharing one hotel room.
Wine tours, beer tastings, kiteboarding, shopping and much more!
