Just off of Las Olas boulevard and walking distance to beach, this bright, airy, comfy room has a private entrance, uber comfortable queen bed, windows with views of water all around, boats and foliage. The building itself is old and “retro” and a bit divey, yet safe and friendly. Walk along the loveliest and most scenic street to beach, restaurants, and downtown Fort Lauderdale dining, shopping and business district on beautiful Las Olas.

This beachy hotel-like room has 27" flat screen TV, free high speed wifi for streaming and working, AppleTV with unlimited media, work space with printer/copier, refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker with coffees and teas, iron, hair dryer, towels for beach and bath, and bath products including shampoos soaps and conditioners.

A great nights sleep is essential, so fresh down-like hypoallergenic pillows adorn the memory foam bed. There is also a water purifier on the shower so your shower is as healthy as can be.

Great place to stay for a conference

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I were here for a conference. This place has a great location, it was clean. the bed was super. The owner was mostly out of town, but she communicated, and could not have been nicer.

Great Stay on Las Olas!

  • 5 of 5

Elizabeth is a great host. The room is very clean and nicely decorated. The bed is super comfy and the shower works great! There is a large closet and plenty of storage space. Having Apple TV available is a nice touch for those of us who have left cable behind. The room is in a small (cute? pink, anyway) building that is the first building on the Isle of Venice immediately North of Las Olas, so you are basically surrounded by water and boats. It is a short walk to the Las Olas main drag and a slightly longer walk to the beach. There are three bike shops located on Sunset, about a thirty minute walk, if you are interested in renting a bike for your stay - I used the Trek store, which was incredibly helpful - a high quality city bike was $25 a day. You can ride up A1A as far as you choose to go. There is also a Publix on Sunset for grocery shopping. Uber is readily available for to/from the airport or for going out at night. I recommend happy hour at the Downtowner bar, which is located right on the southside River Walk at Andrews - about a 30 minute walk, or a $5 uber ride. You can sit outside and watch the boats go by (or do the same at the bar, if it's chilly out). The historic Elbo Room at the beach rivals any bar in Key West for wackiness. The beach is absolutely fantastic, by the way. There are umbrella and chair set ups available for rent.

Perfect place to live in Ft. Lauderdale

  • 5 of 5

The location is wonderful — right on the canal, and a 5 minute ride or 15-20 minute walk to the beach. If the drawbridge is up, it might take a little longer — but it’s fun to watch the boats go through.

The room has everything you need. It is efficient with a comfortable bed, a walk-in closet, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, coffee/tea, Apple TV, an iron and ironing board, and a nice shower in the bathroom, The room is not fancy; it is simple and a comforting refuge to come home to. It’s private, and yet the people who live in the building were friendly and helpful.

Elizabeth, the owner, is wonderful! Besides being interesting and incredibly welcoming, she went above and beyond to help me.

Would I stay there again? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I’m not sure I’d ever stay anywhere else, as long as this is available.

Great location and host!

  • 5 of 5

Elizabeth's place is super cozy/clean and in a great location. Prior to our arrival Elizabeth sent an overview of the room and a list of suggestions for food/bars which was really helpful. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Fort Lauderdale!

Great room and easy location

  • 5 of 5

I had a great stay here. It was a nice room and furnishings, and the location was convenient enough to walk everywhere (15 mins to the beach one way, and 15 mins to restaurants in town the other way). Elizabeth was very accommodating and helpful with information. The coffeemaker and refrigerator were nice to have as well. Overall, a very nice, affordable alternative to a hotel room!

We were within walking distance of everything we needed. Stayed in Ft. Lauderdale a few days before a cruise. Quite enjoyed it here.
