Check in time is 4 pm and checkout time is 10 am. This is a charming farmhouse fully equipped to move in. It has a separate dining room, large living room with satellite tv, wifi and blue ray player. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 2 bedrooms up. Both bathrooms are located on the main floor. All bedrooms have a queen size bed and one bedroom also has a futon that folds down for added people. The house will work well for up to 9 people. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals and dishes are provided. The deck is large and has a gazebo to save you from the hot sun while allowing you to enjoy the breeze and relax outside. There is a washer and dryer downstairs in the home.

Our property has many fruit trees, fruit bushes etc and when we have enough, we will make them available to you. We do ask that you don't let your children pick fruit and throw it, nor have anyone pick without checking with us first. Please don't climb the fruit trees as it damages them, and don't let your children chase our free range hens around as they quit laying when distressed. This has become quite a big problem for us with the past few rentals and we don't know why it happens. We are a working farm and are grateful if you can make sure that all of your guests treat our property well.

We are a WWOOF host family. That is World Wide Organization of Organic Farmers. Young people from around the world come and volunteer their time on the farm to learn about Canada and farming. It is always interesting to talk to the young people who travel here. The property has a few fruit trees and we are surrounded by orchards. We have recently planted 4 acres of blueberry bushes on our lower field. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and are very pet friendly. We can give you great directions for a nice walk in the area or even a hike for the more physically inclined.

In a separate and fully self-contained suite we have a full-time tenant who is quiet and respectful of the visitors upstairs and we appreciate it if others leave her space calm for her. You will have exclusive access to the vacation rental, your own deck and green space and will not have to share it with anyone.

This is a fantastic home to enjoy family visits and reunions, nature time, days spent on nearby beaches and peace and quiet in a rural setting. It is NOT a home for loud and boisterous late night party crowds. We try to maintain quiet time from 10 pm- 7 am. Families traveling with children need to be aware that there is a downstairs tenant and sometimes kids are pretty loud. We thank you for your consideration.

Hi, My name is Brett and I live in a separate house on the property with my wife Carmen. We have a home based business selling kitchen cabinets and also grow 4 acres of blueberries in addition to having a large organic vegetable garden in the summer. I have travelled extensively and I love the Okanagan. Carmen used to be an LPN and now works on the farm with me. She loves dogs and works hard to keep the rental up to date with everything you could need on your vacation. With easy access to lakes, golf courses, ski hills and wineries it is truly a great place to live.

Why Carmen Johnston chose Kelowna

Come and enjoy the freedom of farm life and the peace and quiet it offers you. The house itself is inviting and homey. Both of us spent our teenage years in the Okanagan so for us it felt like coming home when we had the chance to purchase the property. The vacation rental is home to many of Carmen's mother and grandmothers treasured items which you will see in the china cabinet. Unfortunately, our home is made of too many windows to have them here, so we trust that you will look after them with care while you are here.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Ample parking, quiet rural location. The deck is fantastic to enjoy bbq's and sunny afternoons. The arched doorways in the home are lovely and the wooden floor is original and shows the character of the home. We love the antique glass door knobs on the old wooden doors. The beds are so comfortable you will want to stay in them and read your book through the mornings. It isn't often that families can go somewhere peaceful anymore with most hotels and apartments having lots of noise from neighbours so we hope that you will make the most of it and enjoy the quiet life that we enjoy daily! Being only a 15 minute drive to the beach is pretty spectacular also!

We enjoyed very much staying here. We had all we needed in the house. The house was clean, big enough for 4 adults and 4 children. The location is ideal, in the middle of everything we visited. Although weather was not ideal in our entire stay but we had enough entertainment in a rainny day. We will visit again.

Good reliable house and owner

Return visit and we were again happy with all that was offered. Owner went beyond the call on Saturday night to fix an issue and their concern was more than you would get at most places.

quaint and perfect

My family (parents, brother, husband and 3 girls and I) all stayed at this lovely property and were so in love from the moment we arrived. The place was absolutely perfect and provided adequate space for us all to sleep and socialize. The yard was awesome for running around in, the play set was well used by our girls, the kitchen had everything basic that we needed for preparing our meals and a huge dining room table that fit our entire family (including my other brother, his wife and little boy). It truly became our home away from home instantly. It was quiet, close to the airport so we had fun watching the airplanes, and away from the chaos of Kelowna, but close enough that we didn't have to drive terribly long to get anywhere! We definitely will not hesitate to rent this property again in the future and I already look forward to it! The owners were awesome and prompt with any questions or concerns we had and and great to deal with. Just watch out for the corners of the bed frames! They sneak out and catch your shin if you're not careful ;) lol

Very Comfortable

We stayed 3 nights and spent more time at the house than we expected. With the deck and a BBQ along with plenty of house space it was great for what we wanted. If you golf the location is a big plus. Also Carmen walked the talk as to what they offer and what you get

Great location to stay with your family. We are Pet Friendly. House has a penned area if your dog tends to roam. Located among brilliant orchards and gardens.

We are close to everything but far enough away to feel like you are out in the country. With numerous world class beaches, swimming and boating only a short distance from here you are sure to enjoy your vacation. Only 5 minutes to Kelowna Airport or Quail Golf Course. 15 minute drive to Okanagan or Kalamalka Lake or Woods Lake to enjoy swimming and beaches. 10 Minutes to Hwy 33 and access to Big White Ski Hill.

This will be a vacation with fantastic memories for you and your family. Let us know your wishes and we will make every effort to accommodate your requests. We are looking forward to having you enjoy your stay on our acreage.

Rate is based on 4 guests. Each additional guest is $25 per person per night. Pet fee is $50 per pet per booking which help to cover the cost of extra cleaning.
If there is anything missing in the house, or an item that would have made the stay better, we truly want to know. If you choose not to tidy through when you leave, a cleaning charge of $150 can be arranged.

We accept cash, bank draft, cheque or etransfer on arrival. A deposit of $250 via eTransfer or mail required to secure booking. All incurred damage is to be paid for when you check out.Tenant must do tidy through before leaving- we will do deep cleaning. Full Payment due on arrival. Cancellation less than 60 days subject to full charges. Please pick up after your dog.
