Went with a group of seven 20/30-somethings for a 3-day/2-night stay last weekend. Overall, we really enjoyed the place. Great decor, comfy beds, plenty of poolside lounging, the spa was hot, and we got a lot of use out of the outdoor BBQ and dining area. Easily accommodated the three couples and a single guy with our own rooms and was also very convenient to the Albertson's down the street for groceries.
The house is on the corner lot in a quiet neighborhood so you only have two other neighbors to be concerned about. We had some low, low volume music on phones playing by the pool as the management company heavily emphasized the strict noise ordinance for the area. So be advised if looking for a rowdy and raucous Coachella-eqsue crash pad, this is not it.
Only reason not a 5 out of 5 was we had a few hiccups with the place. The first night, one of the bedrooms had a non-stop thumping noise coming from the ceiling that was loud enough to force the couple who went to bed in there to sleep in the living room on the floor and couch instead. This was later found to be related to the water pipes that were also causing a significant leak in the backyard plants which maintenance resolved the next day. The spa light was also busted and the volume on the TV was wonky. Minor inconveniences, but impacted the experience.
We ended up with a slight discount for weekend due to the thumping room and a discount on any future bookings with the management company which was nice. Definitely would come back and recommend to others for a weekend getaway!
I would recommend this place, but with reservations. We had a group of 8 adults at the house. We cooked a lot, hung out poolside, played tennis and watched the pro tennis tournament.
- Great outdoor space, saltwater pool/spa, gas grill, plenty of outdoor seating
- Beautifully decorated, in that mid-century cool way
- Well stocked kitchen and pantry for the cook
- Great location in PS
- Responsive property management company
- We got a noise complaint from a neighbor due to a mellow dinner we were having al fresco. Luckily, we got a warning and not a citation from the visiting cop.
- We had a non-functioning garbage disposal throughout our stay, which caused other issues with the dishwasher, leaks, etc. I had to call in for repairs most days, and this impeded our use of the kitchen at times. However, the property management company was very responsive.
- 2 of the 3 bathrooms are a bit small for shared living space.
