About Mary Clayton

We moved here to raise our son in an active, small-town community. We feel very fortunate to have been able to build our home at the base of what has become a world-famous ski resort and we try hard to keep a healthy balance of work and play in our lives.

Great place to stay, excellent value

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 days in this quaint loft. It is a lovely space and very comfortable for a family of four. Everything is well maintained and clean. The place exceeded our expectations both from the pictures on the website and the cost. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Thanks.

Great location & accomodations!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was just the right size for a family of four, very clean, & well-maintained. The owners were friendly & helpful. Definitely recommended! The loft stairs are not for the faint-hearted, but the space itself is cozy.

Lofty expectations met!

  • 4 of 5

Comfortable ski cabin loft - close to hill. Nice for older kids and for those who don't mind climbing a loft stairladder. Very suitable for family of 3-4.

Great place, Great location and Friendly host!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 3 friends travelling to Revelstoke to enjoy the mountain. The place was perfect, everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Mountain is literally a 3 minute drive, town is a short drive as well.

Mary was super friendly and helpful, it was nice to meet her and get some of our questions answered.

Already looking forward to next years trip! FYI, if you are thinking about Cat or Heli skiing best book ahead of time, as we learned.

We enjoyed the cozy place, it was perfect for our family.

It was clean and had everything we needed in the nice little kitchen.

So close to the ski hill and a great Ski storage shed.

Mary was very helpful and accommodating .

We recommend this place and hope to come again.

Close to ski hill and dog friendly

  • 3 of 5

We are a mature couple with our dog coming to Revelstoke to ski and visit family. The apartment's main area is small but comfortable. The loft area is intimidating for our age group. We enjoyed walks on the country road and our trip to the ski hill. The apartment itself had some issues, large clunky dish and glass ware, no paper towels, dirty windows on the inside, kitchen faucet not rotating properly and older furniture. The bed was comfortable enough and loved the bath! It would have been nice to have the master bed on the main floor. With a few small changes this would be a four star place.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry to hear you weren't comfortable with the ladder to the loft. We make it clear on our site that it is a ladder and there is a photo that shows it clearly. We chose to put the queen bed in the loft because we often rent to families who prefer to have the separate bedroom for the children. We are not happy with the faucet either and will be replacing it. In our view, paper towels are environmentally unfriendly and we don't consider them a kitchen staple. Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort has the longest vertical of any ski area on the continent, plus world-famous powder snow. The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club has 25 km of groomed trails in the beautiful Monashee Mountains. Backcountry skiing opportunities are endless; find out for yourself why Rogers Pass is the backcountry mecca! With two national parks at our doorstep, our summers are equally fun. You can hike, rock climb, or tackle a mountaineering objective. Mountain biking is huge around here and the locals take great pride in well-marked and maintained trails. Road biking is also terrific with many long, paved highways that see little traffic. In the summer months the Columbia River becomes like a lake due to the dams, where you can enjoy spectacular canoeing across the wide, calm waters.
