My girlfriends and I stayed here for our Nola getaway and loved it. The apartment was clean and homely enough to get comfortable without a problem. The owners were always very prompt with replies and really went the extra mile to help with anything we may have needed. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay on a good quite neighborhood.

Highlight of vacation

  • 5 of 5

The apartment we rented was toward the back of the property and was absolutely lovely. It was very clean and tidy but still maintained an old world charm with exposed beams and older finishings. Stacy was more than helpful with everything, only she provided us with all the information for our stay up front, so we didn't have many questions. The rates are more than reasonable and although the area and roads are quite cramped, it's a wonderful location. It was an easy, safe walk to catch the trolly on St. Charles and there is a little gas station half a mile the other direction that you don't have a touch a major street to get too. With such an easy walk to the streetcar line, it was wonderful to simply visit Frenchman st. And Bourbon st., then escape the tourist trap by coming home to a quaint, quiet retreat. We loved enjoying our evenings in the privacy of the back garden area. With the home on a corner lot, the on street parking was plentiful and always available. We parked on the side of the house everytime. I will say that the roads around the lower garden district are a bit rough so if you have a car with ground effects, don't expect to go back home with it. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about this place and it's owner.

Nice little place

  • 5 of 5

This was a great little place for the areas my group and I wanted to see. Walking distance to great restaurants and attractions. Would recommend getting uber or lyft apps. Most rides range from 5-15 dollars depending on where you are going. We really only used the apartment for a place to sleep and rest as we were always out and about. The futon upstairs may be great for two children, but I would only recommend a single adult on the futon. Didn't seem big enough for two adults. Would stay here again.

All the comforts of home.

  • 4 of 5

Great location - easy parking. Very comfortable.

1st floor big clean and bright bathroom with a nice shower. Bedroom was roomy with a very nice comfortable bed. We used the washer and dryer which is in the bedroom, that was very nice to have that after being at a muddy Jazz Fest.

The upstairs has a narrow winding stairway but once up there it's full of windows and a great kitchen that has everything you need. The futon folds out and was comfortable as a 2nd bed. There is a small closet with a small plastic cabinet to store your clothes and items. The TV gets a bunch of cable channels including HBO. There are plenty of local guidebooks and brochures to go through if you need help deciding where to go. The house is a couple blocks from the St Charles streetcar and bars and restaurants. A great area to walk around in.

perfect location, ideal flat

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lower garden district flat over the Easter holiday and was very pleased. The place is clean, very open and airy, and very close to downtown as well as the Magazine Street restaurants and stores. They have done a great job of renovating the place to create a cute, homey place for your stay in New Orleans. I strongly recommend Stacy's place for your next trip to New Orleans.

Great location and apartment for NOLA stay!

  • 5 of 5

I spent a month at this Garden Getaway, partially by myself and partially with various friends. (You don't go to NOLA and not have friends show up!)

The apartment was just as presented and perfect for my stay. The location was great. Just a block or two from the bus and three blocks from the St. Charles streetcar. The bus system was easy to use (suggest get a smartphone app to provide all you need to know) and we used it frequently. We were just a couple of blocks from Magazine Street -- perfect for shopping, eating and browsing. We particularly liked Maya's restaurant.

The apartment was clean and full of light. Very comfortable bed, and the futon in the main room was also a comfortable bed. We had all we needed in the kitchen. The TV (HBO and Showtime included) and WIFI worked great.

The owners were very helpful with anything I needed, from recommendations for Mardi Gras parade viewing to offers of more linens if we needed them (we didn't). On the warmer January afternoons we enjoyed the outdoor courtyard (nicer seating than in the photos).

I would recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to be conveniently located while having a nice place to call "home" while in NOLA. I would certainly stay there again.
