About Jason Landry
Lifelong resident of New Orleans. I love New Orleans...the history, the food, the climate, and the music.

Perfect Family Holiday
Faubourg Marigny was a was a perfect home base for two families with teenage children, total of 7 people. We walked to activities in the French Quarter, everything else was an easy Uber or Lyft. One day we rented a van to explore the Laura and Witney Plantations (recommend both) and had to park the van overnight which was no problem. There are grocery stores within walking distance if you need supplies.
It's exciting to stay in an architecturally relevant home to where you are visiting. The surrounding streets are a beautiful mix all that New Orleans (live music, great food, amazing people watching, shopping) has to offer. We felt safe and welcomed.
Jason is a very special host. He is helpful, kind and as you can see from the reviews - takes great care of his home/guests.
Great house and location!
His house was perfect for our adults only getaway. Nicely positioned between Frenchman st and the French quarter we could walk to just about everywhere! It was excellent!
Perfect location and amazing house, a real 'oasis' steps away from the French Quarter.
We rented this house with some friends to celebrate a birthday weekend. The house is conveniently located steps from the French Quarter; so close that we could go out around the quarter and with no worry at all, come back to the house to recharge, change clothes and or use the bathroom and head right back out. The patio area with the table, chairs and fountain was a relaxing spot to drink and hang out with our fellow guests. The rooms are large and comfortable. The presence of a washer and dryer and vacuum cleaner were very convenient commodities too. Jason was very accommodating and understanding, we had some requests relating to our flights arriving early and leaving later and because there weren't any reservations after ours, we were able to have our stay "extended" until we had to leave. This was very helpful because then we did not have to lug our suitcases around on the last day.
Great location, great home!
Located 1.5 blocks out of the French Quarter, but even better, only one block from Frenchman Street and all the restaurants and music offered. You can't beat the location, within two blocks in any direction is anything you need from dining, quick mart groceries and entertainment. The home was clean, comfy and perfect for our stay. The courtyard was our gathering place when not sleeping.
Nice property in great location
A bit of NOLA flavor, updated nicely, with a lovely garden patio for hanging out between excursions around the city. The owner was very accommodating and patient with questions and requests. It worked well for our long weekend visit.
Deceiving Shotgun -- So Sweet and Homey
This sweet shotgun home (narrow residence with rooms arranged one behind the other with no hallways) is such a sweet, little, comfy, cozy gem!!
Quick layout of home starting from the front room: first bedroom, living room (with sofa bed with available bed linens), old non-working fireplace, kitchen (1st bathroom off of the kitchen), entrance door on side, second bedroom (have to walk through this bedroom to get to 2nd bathroom and third bedroom), 2nd bathroom, third bedroom with it's own door to outside for an exit and another door to tiny courtyard. If this house wasn't smack dab in New Orleans with so much to see and do, I would definitely come here to stay inside for a weekend, to hide out and relax, reading books.....especially if it was raining. It would need a few more kitchen items for cooking, but you typically don't come to New Orleans to cook for yourself....(it's for the food, drink and people).
The guests before us had warned us we'd have to wear earplugs to sleep at night. We've been to New Orleans lots of times, and this advice was not surprising, as pretty much any NOLA rental home we've stayed at included loud, continuous night-time noise. What WAS surprising, is that we DIDN'T hear any noise at night. We brought our older and adult kids for Spring Break. My husband and I slept in the back, third bedroom, so we're not sure that had anything to do with the noise-level, and our kids had the other two bedrooms and living room. My husband had to work a couple of days, while we were on our trip. We had a counter/bar area in our bedroom and moved the coffee pot in our room for him to use in the morning, that didn't require making noise in the kitchen for our kids. He could then leave out the other outside door of our room and again not make noise. Since our kids slept in the rest of the house, we didn't have to hear them coming and going, while we were sleeping. It worked out wonderfully! (Have to mention that we enjoyed our drinks by the fountain on the patio area off the side of the house. We loved the shoes Jason had hanging or sitting around that had plants growing out of them.) We were a hop over from Frenchmen Street and a hop-skip-and a jump over from the French Quarter.
This has been our favorite, all-encompassing, New Orleans vacation rental, yet. Jason was very friendly and so easy to communicate and work with. Thank you so much, Jason. Hopefully, for us, you'll always be available on our future NOLA adventures.
