Our home is a beautiful, spacious 2 story split level house with a 1000 square foot first floor for rent. The downstairs has an open floorplan with plenty of natural light and a cozy courtyard. It has two bedrooms and the master bedroom faces the front yard with a beautiful fountain. Both bedrooms come with luxury linens and spacious closets. The couch in the living room can also be made into a queen size bed.

No need for a rental car since the property is located in the Historic Garden District only steps away from Magazine Street and 3 blocks from St Charles Avenue and Mardi Gras parades. However, if you do have a car, the property comes with a reserved parking spot. Spend your day walking around in the prestigious Garden District or enjoy shopping on Magazine Street, the best shopping district the city has to offer. Restaurants, bars and grocery stores are conveniently located within blocks. Want to go downtown? The historic Streetcar on St Charles Avenue will take you all the way to the French Quarter. Buses run frequently from Magazine Street and a taxi will take you there in 10 minutes.

My wife & I moved to New Orleans 13 years ago and we absolutely love the city. It has so much to offer and the people treat you like family. We enjoy spending time in the Garden District, crawfish boils and of course watching the Saints.

We had previously rented a place in the Garden District on the famous St Charles Avenue and we knew that we wanted to stay in the area. After two years of looking, we finally found the perfect house for us. It has everything we ever wanted. Fantastic house with great neighbors in a beautiful neighborhood.

Simply Lovely Experience

We highly recommend this property to anyone who is traveling to New Orleans and wishes to stay in the Garden District. The location is superb. The neighborhood is fabulous—two blocks from Magazine Street, three blocks from St. Charles. It is safe, quiet, and walkable. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The property itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Anders greeted us when we arrived, walked us through everything, and gave us instructions on a few things like the thermostat, the laundry facilities, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this property to our family and friends in an instant. If you take advantage of this location, try to go to The Bulldog Pub and sit on the patio. Also try Salu Restaurant for their happy hour. The mussels are wonderful. Basin is a great restaurant as well. Actually, there are so many places within walking distance that it is difficult to remember all of them.

Lovely, comfortable and convenient!

Our visit was brief, but enjoyed this rental. It was spacious for 2 people and would be perfect for a small family. We walked to dinner and breakfast a couple of times and had really good food at Joey K's and the red dog. Also close to another fave "Ignatius".

Anders and Lisa were charming and helpful with an adorable little girl. The rental was well supplied and maintained and I would definitely recommend it.

This place is ideal for your family trip to New Orleans! Great fun close to everything!

My wife and I took our 3 yo daughter to experience her first Mardi Gras. The property owners were great and we had all the amenities of home! Walking distance to parades, grocery stores, shops, and dining in an awesome neighborhood. If I lived there I wouldn't own a car! My daughter loved playing in the courtyard and the sand box! You can't go wrong staying here!

Perfect for us

Two blocks from the restaurants of Magazine Street, two blocks from the streetcar ... perfect location. Many neighborhoods of New Orleans seemed old and under construction ... terrible streets and construction detours. This apartment was an oasis ... new, crisp, clean, well decorated, and exciting. We were late on arrival and Anders (owner) was accommodating, showed us the apartment, and gave insights to the area. Perfect ... we could not have asked for more.

Awesome Garden District Location!!

We came in to NOLA for a reunion, and the location of this property was perfect for all of our excursions. The owners were very polite and accommodating. I would definitely stay again, and highly recommend this rental if you want a place close to the French Quarter but out of the hussel of the City.

Perfect Downstairs Uptown Apartment

We three travelers enjoyed a respite from the rains for the first weekend of jazz fest. This downstairs apartment is bright, comfortable, and perfectly situated. On arrival, Anders (owner) made sure we were welcome and gave us the lay of the land. He arranged for us to use the parking space directly in front of the unit which was super convenient. As described in several reviews - the unit is very close to shops, galleries, and restaurants on nearby Magazine Street. Do not underestimate the charm of walking in the neighborhood. How much to enjoy! The architecture, lush trees and overgrown gardens, parks on every corner, dog-walkers and fitness buffs on their morning run... If you are up for a longish walk to the French Bakery you will get the best cup of coffee in New Orleans (strong - no chicory) and the best brioche this side of Paris. If not, Anders did promise to fix the coffee maker! We slept soundly on nice firm mattresses. The muggy weather was no bother because the air conditioning and fans in the unit kept us super comfortable. Early risers might hear the faint echo of footsteps from upstairs, and if you are quiet you might see a cat on the patio.
