This post Katrina modern home sits on top of 30 ft. pier beams which allow a spectacular view of the Gulf. A large service elevator takes you from a two car garage (and covered parking for 12 additional cars) to the main floor. Main floor is complete with gourmet kitchen, wet bar, large spacious living room, master bedroom, and wrap around porch for 360 degree view from above. The 2nd level has additional bedrooms, bathrooms, wet bar, 2nd mini-kitchen on 2nd floor, studio, office, and living area. Peak of house room not available.

All of the amenities of modern living are built in....
Belle of Fontaine in Ocean Springs, Ms. was a wonderful vacation home. There is so much room and endless porches. We loved being on the ocean, watching dolphins and the fish jump. It is located so that you can easily go to Mobile, Gulf Shores or even New Orleans for the day. There is over 6,000 square feet of room so that everyone can have their "little" space. All of the appliances were top notice; from the two dishwashers, two wine coolers, refrigerators and the washer and dryer.
We had not problems while we stayed there, but I know if there had been, Cathy Dees would have handled everything; and she had fresh flowers when we arrived.
The linens were great and there were plenty of bath towels, rags, etc.
Our family loved this house.
The home itself is nice and the amenities are fine. This home is on the market to be sold. We ran into the following issues with the establishment.
* There is a separate set of rules not provided at the time of contract that directly impact your deposit. These were never verbally communicated nor were they mentioned to us at the time of rental or during the rental period. These stipulations and guidelines are in a loose leaf binder found on a counter top (or not) that are included with the WI-FI directions. As we adults were not looking for loose leaf pamphlets with "to do" lists, we missed several of these items.
* Upon arriving at the home the door was open...which wouldn't have been so bad until we were accused of leaving the doors open upon our departure. And yes of course something had gone missing...that which we hadn't taken but are being held responsible.
*The realtor was very adamant about showing the home during a very inconvenient time to us and provided a list of requirements for her showing. This wasn't good for us to ensure all the dishes were clean, beds were made, everything in show ready condition as we were on "vacation" and thus it resulted in us taking extra time to get their house show ready. Now they did offer us a credit, but because we didn't comply with those items in the loose leaf pamphlet we are now arguing the deposit and we will never see the credit.
*They charge a high rate of cleaning fee...and the house wasn't clean to begin with...it's a beach home so there was a bit of sand and dirt on the floors, the kitchen cupboards and baseboards were very dirty as was the filters and blinds. The person renting the house stated that she and the owner were aware of it and it has now been looked after. No credit or allowance was provided for this as we again did not comply with those things listed in the loose leaf pamphlet.
*After we departed, it was stated to me that this house has cameras, which I believe to be an invasion of privacy and quite frankly never would have rented a house knowing that stranger(s) had full access to myself and family (which includes children).
All in all, the house is in a very nice location and if you are willing to take the risk of everything above and are of lawyer caliber for reading and understanding the long contract (which is written by the owner's daughter who I have been told is a lawyer), then have at it.
Would I have stayed here knowing all of the above? No.
We were so surprised to see 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers. This house was secluded with Pelicans flying back and fourth over the ocean in front of us the entire vacation. Plenty of space, and very clean. I wanted to stay because it was so relaxing and peaceful. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home for the 4th of July 2016. I would stay there again if the occasion arrises. Beautifully decorated, I was so comfortable there that I was wishing I could just stay for the summer.... It was a great place to entertain our family.
This house was perfect for our family of 11. Plenty of room, everything we needed(except toilet paper). The property sits next to a monstrous eyesore property that detracts from the view quite a bit. We positioned our chairs so we did not have to look that way. 😉It is very far from any amenities, so be sure you bring plenty of supplies. All in all, it is a nice rental.
We loved our stay at the The Belle of Fontaine! Their was plenty of room for everyone to spread out if need be or hang together downstairs. We enjoyed the media room, the large kitchen, and spending girl time in the master bedroom by the fireplace. Their was plenty of parking and space to sit down stairs and enjoy the view. I would have been great to have more double beds but our newlywed couple just pushed the single beds together. It was a short drive to the casinos and we enjoyed one day at the Spa and dinner in Ocean Springs after we shopped.
The house was beautiful. Our family was comfortable as we enjoyed a slower pace. Cathy was a fabulous host.
