This beautiful, lakefront home is located at the tip of the Peninsula with a private dock and two buoys. The spacious 4000 sq ft home enjoys 260 degree views of Lake Almanor, Mt. Lassen, Mt. Dyer and surrounding mountains. The main house has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, kitchen, dinette seats 6, dining room seats 8, den, and large great room with big screen TV, pool table, game table, and bar. Above the garage is a 750 sq ft guest lodge with two bedrooms, full bath, fireplace and living area with pull-out sofa. The Southern exposure is perfect for magnificent sunsets and sunrises. Enjoy entertaining on 1350 sq ft of redwood decking and built in spa. The parcel is tree lined for excellent privacy with an array of decorative and dindigenous trees. The spacious lawn is perfect for croquet, badmittonon and regulation horseshoes or just lounging in the hammock overlooking the lake.

Prime property, very comfortable

We had an excellent family vacation at this Lake Almanor Peninsula property in August 2015. The property is the last house on the peninsula, within the Lake Almanor Country Club. It is private, VERY clean and well maintained, and big and comfortable in all the right places, both inside and on the lawn and expansive deck areas outside (we had our own family "Olympics" competitions while there and the lawn area was perfect for it). The owners were very responsive and even helped facilitate delivery of some medical equipment for one of our guests. The garage is a separate building and has its own living space on top - great for a small family to have their own privacy or to give the youngsters their own area to hang in during the stay. We don't have a boat but utilized the dock for rented boat and jetskis and it was very convenient. The bedrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the grill was great for cooking, and the location can't be beat. We definitely recommend this house and hope to make it back some time!

Lakefront Dream Home

The place was better than any picture! The piece of property was magnificent with sweeping vistas of most of the lake. The southwestern exposure afforded morning sun as well as beautiful sunsets. The lake access was easy with a full dock and 2 buoys. The hot tub was a great bonus. The owners were very helpful and easily accessible during our stay.Our weather was perfect and great water was available for skiing most of the time. I would highly recommend this property and we are planning on returning next year!!

Lake Almanor dream

Our family has been coming to Lake Almanor for the past 20 years and this is the first time we have stayed at this lovely home. The owners were very helpful and the house has so much to offer. When the wind would pick up on the lake, we would spend hours playing horse shoes or pool. The location offers picturesque views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The game room/family room was a perfect gathering place that is both roomy and cozy. We will definitely return to the best place we have ever stayed at this lake!!!

Fabulous Retreat!

Our family wanted a vacation home where we could comfortably get away from it all and have the boat and jet skis on hand for our convenience. This house was AWESOME! The adults enjoyed the very luxurious, yet totally comfortable main house. The teenagers enjoyed the independence of The Lodge. Everyone spent time in the backyard, hot tub and game room. Other than a day spent at Lassen Volcanic National Park which was just an hour away, we barely left the house unless we were heading off on the lake. There were 10 of us in our group but the house never felt crowded, or even full. We all enjoyed a game of Quelf at the card table and never bumped elbows! The owners were so accommodating and couldn't have been nicer. We highly recommend the Lakehouse at the tip of the Peninsula.

Pleasant Hill

Gorgeous Property / Be careful of your security deposit

This house/location is gorgeous! The house sleeps up to 12 people, but there is only 1 small garbage can - which can not handle garbage for 6 people for 1 week. We were charged a fee for excess trash - not a huge amount, but annoying considering the house can not accomodate the garbage produced for 6 people, let alone 12. There's no recycling at the house either - you have to put all your garbage in your car and take it to a transfer station to drop off - sorry but when I'm on vacation, I'm not driving my garbage that your million dollar house can't accomodate. We arrived on Saturday and the garbage was 1/2 full from the owners - although garbage pick up was on Monday. We were charged the following from our security deposit - extra cleaning fee for $150, allegedly for 6 pieces of chewed gum on the tables - which was NOT OURS. I didn't see any gum anywhere the entire trip. Also in the housecleaning report was "pots and pans needed to be removed from cupboard and rewashed to remove all food". Well, then you should get a new dishwasher - because ALL dishes were ran through your dishwasher. My kids brought their BB guns, so there were some bb's to clean up outside, I'll admit to that - but don't think that costs an extra cleaning fee on top of the cleaning fee we already paid for. My favorite charge was for "4 lawn chairs covers were torn and cannot be attached to the chair" - which cost us almost a hundred dollars! WHAT?! Your weathered chair covers somehow tore and that's our responsibility? We were also charged yet another fee to revitalize their lawn, as we had a slip-n-slide out on the lawn for our kids. The lawn didn't need to be revitalized for close to a hundred dollars - I'll guarantee after a few days the lawn would have been back to it's "normal" self. We use slip-n-slides for the kids ALL THE TIME and don't need to revitalize our lawn EVER. We were charged for other things, which I'm okay with - but the extra cleaning fee, chair cushions and the cleaning report of gum, and the pots and pans? Interesting. TONS of gnats will be in the bathrooms/house, even with closed windows/doors - should I charge a cleaning fee for that? You will be nickled & dimed with your security deposit & charged for ANY "wear & tear". This is not the first time we've ever rented expensive, nice properties thru VRBO & we've NEVER had any issues with our security deposit. Very dissapointed.

Owner's Response: This is the first year we have rented our house. We send instructions to renters explaining what items will affect their deposit return. This is the only renter to date from which we have withheld any deposit which was minimal considering the amount of time and expense we incurred after their departure. Lake Almanor does not offer a curbside recycling service and picks up garbage on Mondays as indicated in our letters. This is the only renter that has left garbage for us to take to the transfer station. The container referred to is a 94 gallon can. Young children were apparently left unsupervised as they left colored chewing gum in a number of places including the wood decking, bushes, grass and tables. They left hundreds of small yellow plastic BBs from toy guns, many were between the wood decking planks (which I spent more than an hour fishing out with a screw driver) and many were throughout the first floor of the house which even after cleaning were mentioned by subsequent guests. We ask renters to not leave large items overnight on the grass. They left large plastic toys on the yard which turned the grass brown. Although we have taken measures to revitalize, the grass still remains brown. The weathered chair covers that the renter refers to were brand new and had never been used before. Tips were broken off of four pool cues and the pool table was left with 15 balls stretching out one pocket and the 16th ball left on the table with the hard pool table cover placed on top of it. The dishwasher works fine but one needs to rinse off the dishes, pots and pans before putting them in the dishwasher. This is a mountain home and as such gnats will come at night if lots of lights are left on. Our housekeeping team usually spends three hours cleaning the home. We believe it to be spotless upon our guests arrival. In this case, it took them an extra two hours to get the home to the condition necessary for the next family. We clean and sanitize just hours prior to each guest. We have been pleased to find that our other renters treated the house with respect and left the house in the condition they found it. This is our wish and expect that the family receives their full deposit returned. Every other family has received their full deposit and a wonderful thank you letter for staying at our home along with a request that they please return next year. Unfortunately, this was not this renter's case.
