This property has everything you need for your stay in D.C. Great Location, safe neighborhood can't say enough good things about it
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Alison's rental house while we were in DC for 5 days! The location was close to the grocery store, and Metra station (5 blocks). We had nearly everything we needed while staying there, the bathroom was stocked with plenty of supplies and the kitchen was great as well. (The only thing missing was a pitcher to use for meals, etc.) Otherwise, plenty of pans and cooking utensils, and we enjoyed making all of our suppers there too! Having a washer and dryer in the house was very nice to use....definitely a plus with children! The neighborhood was quiet for the most part and I enjoyed going for morning runs, and felt like it was a safe place for our family. We would definitely go back here again if we return to the DC area. Alison was a great host and checked in on us the first night to see if we needed anything, and she was gracious enough to allow us a little extra time at checkout as some of us were sick that morning. Thank you Alison for your wonderful place that we could come back to each day to rest and relax!
Charming, clean apartment convenient to Metro, the Capitol, Eastern Market, and Nationals Park. Safe, walkable neighborhood. Loved our stay and plan to return.
The location was perfect. When attractions were too far to walk, we took the metro, which was only a 10 minute walk from the house. The house is in immaculate shape and the neighborhood is fairly quiet. Groceries nearby were helpful. The owner is a perfect hostess as she provided so much info about the area and so many amenities in her home. Made our trip very easy.
We had a great time in Capitol Hill. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The climate control was perfect, not too cold like some hotels and the bed in the main bedroom was comfy. We enjoyed ice cream at Ice Cream Jubilee in the Navy Yards. There is also a great sprinkler/pool for little ones there right by the river.
Our family loved this place. Allison provides so much information to the renters that helps with dinner, getting around and sight-seeing. A very personal touch. The neighborhood couldn't be better. We walked to dinner every night and it was easy access to the Capital and metro stations.
