Ixchel I 407/408 Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
About Randy Fossum
As a native Minnesotan, I have taken many winter vacations and would select a new destination every year until I first visited Isla Mujeres. After my first visit, I knew I would return and eventually bought the condo in 2012 with a friend who was also convinced to purchase with me after being on the island only two days. We are relatively new owners but will work very hard to ensure your experience at Ixchel will be one you will never forget.

Isla Mujeres was ranked in as the 6th best island in the world and Ixchel is located on Norte Beach which was ranked as the 14th best beach in the world as ranked in 2013.

We had heard Isla Mujeres was incredible but seeing truly was believing. Randy’s place couldn’t be better...and right on the beach. The staff was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Ixchel for 4
We traveled for our friends' wedding, and would return again. Ixchel beach resorr was beautiful, low-key, well-situated for easy walk to other activities and welcoming. The 2 bedroom condo we stayed in was jusy what we needed with comfortable living area and beds. We all slept well and were very happy with the accommodations.
Great Spot on a Great Island!
Condo is well appointed. Movie selection was a nice touch for kiddo downtime.
4th floor is great view of sunset! Owner very responsive and available.
Will stay again for sure!
This condo was amazing. Very clean, updated, and spacious. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Beds are very comfortable and we loved listening to the waves at night.
Location is perfect, on the beach and close to restaurants and shops.
Randy was a great host to work with, very responsive and helpful with questions before we arrived. Highly recommend.
Perfect place to stay on Isla Mujeres
Randy's condo was just steps from North Beach and a very short walk from downtown. It was in perfect condition and the hotel staff were excellent. (we ran out of the large bottled water twice; within five minutes of telling the front desk staff a new bottle was in place). Mariana was a pleasure to deal with, as were all the staff from the front desk to the beach. The whole property is maintained at the highest level. Randy was easy to work with and very responsive; I emailed him with a question while he was in Europe: he answered me back at 2:00 am Italy time. Check in and check out were smooth; his recommendation on contacting William Gonzalez at At Your Service Cancun was a good one. Their drivers were on time and very pleasant. The balcony has a perfect view of the sunset; each bedroom had its own spacious bathroom. We rented a golf cart twice and really appreciated the service we got from Ciros Del Caribe at #14 Avenida Guerrero.
In addition to Randys list you need to eat at Pita Amore on Guerrero (excellent pitas that you don't get at home), Picus Coceteria on the water on Medina (wonderful chicken fajitas) and Hosteria Mediterranea at Abasolo #19. Great Italian food and owner. Very small kitchen so you might wait a bit but it's worth it. Italian family was eating there when we were and they loved it. Amigos is a nice spot on Hidalgo that seemed local.
On Randy's list we went to Rooster and North Garden for breakfasts. Both have very interesting menus. We also went to Abuelos just out the back entrance for shrimp tacos three for 150 pesos. They were great and I don't even like shrimp! The fish and chips at Bally Hoo were excellent and we got to see them clean a huge grouper (not while we were eating). Randy mentions the Loncheria Alexia y Geovanny, one of four that are in a row on Guerrero by the market. We ate there and also at Tacos Tombras, which is the furthest one in. Food and prices very similar but we preferred the Tacos Tombras a bit more.
We went to Garaffon Castillo for snorkeling. Much cheaper than the park next door. But bring water shoes... rocks and broken shells
On your cart day or days you should hit the Garaffon Castillo and then up the coast you can hang out at the Zema Beach Club for the price of a drink or some food. And check out El Varadero. Lastly, the ATMs don't always have money so bring cash and you can get 17 pesos for $1 at the hotel.
