Wonderful Stay at Lakeway Lodge

"My family of 6 adults and 1 toddler covering 3 generations spent a wonderful week at Lakeway Lodge and we all had a terrific time. The home is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing and is super well organized, well supplied and clean. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and you can sit and fish right from the back yard. The home is surrounded by farm land and yet is close to the Biltmore, downtown, the mall and lots of outdoor activities. I recommend staying in this gorgeous home, it will exceed your expectations!"

Location:

Lakeway Lodge is located in a small mountain community, Hollabrook Farms, 20 minutes south of downtown Asheville, 3 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, 5 minutes to Biltmore Park, & 20 minutes to the gates of Biltmore Estate. It is VERY easy to access the home, via only paved roads. The home affords year round access, does NOT require 4-wheel drive, and is NOT off any steep, windy or rural mountain roads. Hollabrook Farms is a beautiful community, affording safe places for kids to play, adults to take a stroll, and everyone to relax.

Accommodations:

(Sleeps 12 in beds) 5 bedroom, 3 full baths, 1 - 1/2 baths

Occupancy Summary / Sleeps in beds: 12 Max. Occupancy: 20

(PLEASE NOTE: Yonder provides linens for all beds; other occupancy will require guests providing their own linens.)

Description:

Get ready to be "wowed" by this 3,300 sq. ft. spectacular Craftsman style retreat home. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted spaces, and hard wood floors throughout, you will immediately feel at home at Lakeway Lodge. The great room, with stone fireplace, and fully equipped gourmet kitchen, is where everyone will want to gather to enjoy their time together. But, if you need some "alone time", there is plenty of space inside and out to find your own serenity. The front porch has a swing & rocking chairs for ultimate relaxation.

Kids love getting out in and around the lake & the playground area. The expansive, screened porch & deck are just off the Kitchen & Great room, and afford additional outdoor space to relax & unwind. Pull up a chair and take in the view, (the Lake views are spectacular), observe the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fire flies come out to play in your backyard. Or, meander down to the fire pit to toast some s'mores and share stories.

And of course the HOT TUB!!

Take a seat and enjoy the sound of nature and the serenity. OR, take a walk down to the Lake, right in your own backyard, along with the bonfire pit. Cast a fishing line out into the lake & enjoy some "catch-&-release" fishing for the afternoon. There is also a play-ground area for the kids! Hollabrook Farms offers lots of acreage for nature walks and exploring, biking, and other exercise.

You are just minutes from America's favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, Segway tour…just about any outdoor activity! Or, take a quick ride to downtown Asheville to enjoy the first-rate restaurants, shopping, galleries, spas, and entertainment, or the Hendersonville or Brevard for antique shopping, fine dining, or other attractions.

Why Yonder chose Asheville Area

We chose Asheville to call home, and moved our family here over 10 years ago & have raised our kids here. This is such an amazing location. We get all 4 seasons, but Spring and Fall are the most intense, which is just spectacular! Hollabrook Farms & the lake provide quiet & privacy, the feel of living in the country, while only being 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, and app. 5 minutes to the new Biltmore Park. This is simply a great place to live, and a super place to visit.

What makes this lodge unique

This house exudes warmth and relaxation. The minute you drive into Hollabrook Farms you feel the connection with both 'neighborhood' & nature, and the serenity related to all the water & trees. The warmth and welcome of the home overtakes you from the moment you arrive. The house is large & well laid-out, affording plenty of privacy, while also promoting a sense of gathering, and sharing amongst friends and family. The home opens up to allow the views of Hollaman Lake to cascade throughout, creating a calm and serene atmosphere, and calling you outdoors.

Loved the hot tub, big living room, and deck

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this property with about 15 friends for a bike race. I loved the view of the lake. It was great to have the hot tub to use at night after a long day. There was plenty of parking too. We spent a lot of time on the deck. Great weekend! Hope to come here again!

Amazing house

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful and spacious house. Filled the bedrooms and a few air mattresses for a recent bike race weekend. Kitchen is amazing and very open. I cooked for 26 people one night of our stay and 20 on another. 8 minutes to Sierra Nevada brewery and 25 minutes to the entrance to the pisgah forest.

Great layout and location for our Asheville family vacation.

  • 5 of 5

The Lakeway Lodge had an excellent floor plan that accommodated our three families comfortably. The bedroom off the staircase was especially nice for our 23 yr old grandson to have some occasional privacy from the rest of the gang. The younger boys enjoyed fishing out the backyard and the patio and grill area were both beautiful and relaxing. The location was central to Asheville and many other places to visit in the surrounding area. Management was very accommodating and eager to please. I would definitely recommend Lakeway Lodge to anyone looking for a special Asheville vacation spot.

Great home for our family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had eleven family members stay at Lakeway for a week. The home was a perfect size for us. We had four children under seven and were especially pleased with how child friendly we found the property. There were lots of toys in the house and garage and the lake was perfect for fishing. Other reasons we enjoyed our stay: the kitchen was nicely equipped, the bedding was very comfortable, the house was nice and clean. Also, we were in close proximity to all the excursions we had planned.

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

House was absolutely perfect for the long weekend trip. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space with a ton to do (ping pong, cornhole, basketball, fishing). In a residential neighborhood which worried me a little but the house is situated so you don't feel crowded by the neighbors and have plenty of privacy. House was also very well kept. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!
