Great location but the house is really neglected
We chose the house for its location, and we were thrilled with that aspect of our rental. The house itself unfortunately has been neglected for years and is in need of significant updating. The kitchen is particularly out of date, and the bathrooms are barely sufficient. We are not prickly people and we didn’t complain during our stay, but I would not recommend this house to anyone who is looking for any creature comforts. It feels more like a cramped frat house.
This in response to a complaint made with respect to our property renter at 59 Nauset Heights Rd, East Orleans, Ma.
We love this house which has been in our family since 1949. While we have updated the kitchen and bath bathrooms they aren't fancy.( No multiple sinks in the bathrooms or Sub-Zero appliances in the kitchen.) The bathrooms and kitchen work just fine for us -----there is a microwave and dishwasher as well asas a stove, refrigerator, etc ! Many of our rental guests have stayed at our house for multiple years- the bathrooms and kitchen have been OK for them.
We also lose the pine paneling in the house. We can assure you that no one else has ever confused this house with a fraternity house.
We have WiFi at the house. We also have 2 TV sets but no hkuge screen here or similar "creature comforts"- instead we hope that you will be down the street at the beach or launching a kayak or sailboat at the town landing
just a few blocks away or maybe curling up with a cup of coffee with j one of the many books in the house while enjoying the ocean view. The house is great for couples or singles but we also love when it comes alive with families. We were thrilled this week to arrive and see that young children
had colored the driveway with chalk drawings of stars and starfish- and we know that they enjoyed the back lawn where we found several balls. We know that they enjoyed the back lawn where we found several balls. We know that they were thrilled too, as we always arel whenever jone of the local bunnies made an appearance in the yard.
Like you, we love the location of the house. We are sorry it did not meet
your particular expectations in other respects. We love it just the way it is,as do those who have rented it for many years.
