Bernal Heights House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms 1.5 Bath 1 Block From Park

Beautiful Edwardian 2 bedroom 1.5 bath home built in 1908 with formal dining room, hardwood floors and backyard garden patio. Have a glass of wine in the living room while admiring the views that make San Francisco such a famous destination spot. We also just complete an amazing remodel and have added a half bath, modern kitchen with new appliances, and an amazing new bathroom AND Laundry room.

Located in safe, hip Bernal Heights, visitors describe our house as relaxing and inviting oasis in the heart of the city. Only 5 minute walk to many restaurants, grocery store, wine bar and more! Our favorite activities include tea in the garden, scenic walk in nearby parks and dining in nearby restaurants.

We have wireless high speed internet, cable TV with Premium sports and HBO and movie channels, comfortable high end mattresses, outdoor gas grill in the garden plus many more amenities to make you feel at home.

Also, we live right next door so we are nearby if anything is needed. Also, we have 2 young children if you need to borrow any toys or kids stuff. :)

If you are interested in traveling to Carmel. We have a 3 bedroom family home there that we rent as well. vrbo #396131 https://www.vrbo.com/396131

About Sean Braden

We are a California family that has lived in northern California for 4 generations.

Why Sean Braden chose San Francisco

We are a 3 block walk to hip and quaint Cortland Avenue - home to 5 star restaurants, local coffee shops, bakeries, sweet boutiques and stores. We are also walking distance to Holly Park and Bernal Hill that have some of the best wrap around views (photo op!) in San Francisco as well as great areas for dogs and kids. You might also like Alemany Farmer's Market (Saturday) and Flea Market (Sunday).

We are less than a mile to Mission Street - bustling with the full diversity and flavor San Francisco has to offer - an array of restaurants offering local California cusine as well as food choices from all over the world. There is a great selection of trendy and ecletic bars with many types of fun live entertainment.

What makes this house unique

We close to BART and MUNI and have access to all parts of the city. There is easy street parking in our neighborhood if you wish to drive. We are also very close to the 101/280 if you need quick access to the pennisula/silicon valley or for a day trip down the coast.

We are happy to help with tips on various sightseeing activities for all ages. If you have children, we are happy to accomodate with beds, toys, highchairs, booster seats.

Great place to discover San Francisco

  • 5 of 5

First time we booked with HomeAway and first time at San Francisco.

Thanks to this wonderful place, it was a great experience!

Our last stop of a great roadtrip. After driving from June Lake to San Francisco, we arrived with our two toddlers(4 years and 2,5 years) and as soon we opened the door, we loved the place, even the children, who immediatly start playing with the toys!

For us this was a great spot to stay, walking distance to the busstop, and great neigbourhood to stroll with our kids.

It was for 4 nights only, but we definitely could have stayed here for another week!

Sean is also a really friendly owner. Questions were answered fast and with a lot of information.

We cooked some meals, and we thought everything was there you might need in the kitchen, you could even bake cookies, cake....

We definitely return to this great place!! Hopefully one day, we will!

Wonderful experience!

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful, and so comfortable for a family. There were 5 of us, and there was plenty of room for all of us. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay at the Luxury Edwardian Home, San Francisco!

  • 5 of 5

The house is exactly as it is shown on the VRBO website. It's beautifully furnished, spacious and very clean. The owners also provide a well stocked kitchen with all the things you need when planning to make a meal and the bathrooms have all the necessary items as well. Sean was very helpful and accommodating with information about the area and any other service we needed. If we are ever back in San Francisco we would love to stay in the same location. Thanks from New Brunswick Canada. Roberto, Pat, Leon & Liette.

Amazing, charming house in a convenient location

  • 5 of 5

Our party was concluding a 3-week road trip in San Francisco, and had the pleasure of staying at this property before heading home. The house was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition, including a bathroom that looks like it belongs in a Ritz Carlton or Fairmont hotel (I suffered shower envy after getting back home!).

The bedding was very comfortable, but one of the master bedroom feather pillows tended to flatten in the middle, and I'd recommend the duvet be cleaned as there was a faint musky odor from human use (which may bother those with sensitivities). The house was decorated nicely and compared to most vacation rentals, where the cheapest materials are frequently used, this house looks like you walked into someone's tasteful home, which created a wonderful ambience. We enjoyed looking at the artwork on the walls, for example.

The kitchen was amazing with a lot of supplies, as well as your choice of a drip coffee maker or a Keurig. There are plenty of pots and pans to choose from, and the dishwasher is a smaller unit than average, but decent size for daily use for a party of up to 4 people.

Internet and cable TV worked well, but we did notice the wifi signal was a bit weaker in the front room - perhaps relocating or adding a repeater would help?

The back garden was beautiful and well-tended, with a fountain and evening lights. You can see how much care and detailed effort goes into maintaining the plants, and it creates a relaxing sanctuary.

As far as location, we actually preferred this to being put in the middle of a noisy tourist area. A short walk down the hill, and you reached a bus stop for #23, which you could take to a BART station (or to other stops if you prefer not to take the train). We ended up leaving our vehicle parked in front of the house and just doing public transport. If you walk up the hill the other way out of the house, there is a street with a grocery store, as well as several good restaurants.

Finally, Sean was a friendly and responsive owner, and made us feel welcome in the home. We will definitely try to book here again, whenever we plan on returning to this terrific city!

The home was adorable and the location perfect!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I came to San Francisco for a few days! We had a wonderful time! Sean was very helpful in suggesting places to eat, the house was perfect and located within walking distance to many shops and eating places. When we come back to San Francisco we will be sure to stay here. Thanks Sean for everything!

Blessings,

Alice Kolb
