Very clean, comfortable house in a great location.

My husband, son, and I stayed in the upper unit of Scott's rental house for 3 nights while visiting another son who attends the University of Washington. The upstairs unit is the smaller unit of the house but was a nice set-up for three people. It was very clean and very comfortable. The house is in a perfect location for all things Seattle, just a few minutes to downtown and a few minutes to the University of Washington campus, and there are many restaurants within a few of blocks. The parking was very easy, too, as there was always space right in front of the house. We will definitely stay here again!

Clean, Convenient, and Comfortable

This quiet and charming home is conveniently located near Woodland Park Zoo, Aurora Avenue, and Seattle's hip Fremont neighborhood. There is a nice grocery store three blocks away as well as a gas station 1 block away. Additionally, this home is very, very clean: Scott takes a lot of pride in his home. Also, we found the laundry room a huge plus. Finally, the beds were firm and very comfortable.

Nice place

We stayed a week in this property attending a family wedding and sightseeing.

Scott allowed early arrive after a last minute call to him. The property is very clean and the linens and beds comfortable. There is a posted note to remove your shoes on the door but it states this in the information when looking on line at the property. It does make you feel like you need to be very careful not to get anything dirty durning your stay. When you open the door to go upstairs there is a very unpleasant odor which smelt like a litter box to me. Upstairs the smell was not as noticeable.

The location is close to bus stops to downtown and within walking distance to a small grocery. Parking was available in front and side of the property. Check out procedures are somewhat more than what we have been asked to do with other rentals considering you are paying a cleaning fee. Over all it was comfortable, clean and location was good for us.

Owner's Response: I appreciated the review and the feedback. I have not experienced a smell in the unit at anytime so will be sensitive to this going forward. Regarding guests removing their shoes I do make mention of this more than once because it has been my experience that many guests need the reminder otherwise they ignore it. Taking your shoes off makes a very big difference in the upkeep of the home to the high standards I maintain. This is for the benefit of all guests and is much appreciated as I have been told. A final note about housekeeping tasks I do ask guests do a minimal amount of cleanup when they depart. This helps the housekeepers do a superior job in the short amount of time we have between guests departing at 11 am and arriving at 4 pm the same day which is the case during the high season summer month's. The level of effort it takes to properly clean and prepare the home is much more intensive compared to a hotel room. The expense is shared and the guest portion does not fully cover costs so the bit of help on departure allows our housekeepers to complete the job properly in the limited time we have. Again, thank you for the review and I appreciate the feedback!

Enjoyed the walk ability of the area and the personality of the area.

Nice size for the four of us staying here while visiting Seattle for two days. Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Our 24 year old son enjoyed Fremont Brewing that was nearby. The house was comfortable and equipped with what we needed. Kitchen was stocked with frequently used condiments. Fortunately we are short people and didn't have issues with low ceiling, doorways and bathroom. Had a comfortable time staying here! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! I appreciate your taking the time after your stay. A note about the ceiling height I measured it after reading your review as guests have not mentioned this before now. The ceiling height through out the unit is 7 feet six inches which is 6 inches lower than a standard height of 8 feet in modern homes. It seems charming to me and guests over 6 foot 2 have stayed for several months at at time without feeling it was a problem for them. Anyway, thanks again for the feedback!

The property is well maintained and extremely clean.

Our stay was wonderful. The property is in walking distance to the rose garden and zoo. While it's in a quiet neighborhood, it's also conveniently located to main highways into downtown Seattle, as well as walking distance to public transportation. There is a food market nearby, as well as many lovely shops and restaurants. I found this to be an ideal location. The owner was very reachable and accommodating. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable.

Wonderful amenities. I look forward to returning to this charming home. I will definitely recommend this property to friends and family. What a fantastic find!
