South Central Colorado House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 3 full baths with Mountain and Valley views.

Fully furnished and equipped with everything you need for your stay. Just bring food and clothes and be ready for a great time.

Centrally located in the heart of the Continental Divide, the home is located in the town of Alma. The highest Incorporated Town in North America.

My home has three levels:

The 1st level has the garages and entry area, with ample room for boots and coats. Laundry facilities are also on this level with washer and dryer. Laundry soap and fabric softener provided.

The 2nd level is the living area of the home. The living room has a sofa, two love seats, chair and ottoman. There is a big tv, vcr, dvd with Dish Network (HBO included), and a gas fireplace. A door leads to the back deck with a grill and table with chairs with a beautiful view of the national forest. A full bath is located on this floor as well. The other side of this level has a large log table with chairs (8), and a full gourmet kitchen with basic spices, coffee, filters, and condiments, a Dish washer, toaster, coffee maker, and disposal.

The 3rd floor has two large bedrooms, both with full walk-in closets and full bathrooms. The Master Suite has a queen bed and a full bath. The other has a bunk bed with twin on top and full size on the bottom. There is also a day bed in this room with a roll out trundle. You can use these twin beds seperately, or push them together and make a king.

Why Robert Gartner chose South Central Colorado

My home is very warm and comfortable. Since it's literally in the center of Colorado, you can easily get to any of the attractions that Colorado has to offer. A beautiful and short commute of 16 miles takes you to the ski areas. Drive a little - save a lot.

What makes this house unique

Alma is a wonderful town, the highest zip code in N. America. It has two eateries / pubs, a wonderful coffee and breakfast shop, the semi-world-famous AL-Mart, and several unique gift shops, and a liquor store.

Excellent Log Cabin

We were a group of 7 women, stayed for 7 days and we loved it! Everything we needed was there at the house, towels, linens and the home was very homey and comfortable. We had snow everyday and it was beautiful to sit on the couch and watch the snow fall from the many windows. Any question I had, Mr. Gartner called and answered immediately. Only negative thing I have to say is that I had to come back home to Texas. Wish I could stay there longer. Thank you Mr. Gartner for allowing us to stay in your lovely home!!!

Beautiful Home, Wonderful Stay

My family and I stayed in this cabin for 3 days and we LOVED it! The property was exactly as shown on the website and fully furnished with everything we needed for our stay. We especially enjoyed the sleds provided in the basement, the hill in the backyard was great for sledding.

It was very snowy during our stay, but the owner provided everything we needed to help us out. There were plenty of snow shovels and a snow plow in the garage, as well as, plenty of loose gravel we used to help the car get into the garage.

There is a wonderfully stocked kitchen, that was perfect for cooking big meals for the 7 of us that stayed in the cabin. We had ample room in the cabin to hang out and never felt like we were on top of each other.

I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone visiting this area, it was very centrally located to both Breckenridge and Loveland Ski area where we spent most of our time. It was a very clean and well taken care of cabin, and we can't wait to stay here more in the future.

Very pleased with my stay

My wife and two kids stayed here for vacation. First of all, the house is great. Lots of natural light and well decorated. The owner provides everything and I mean everything. Towels, laundry detergent, everything you would need for cooking, nice grill, soap and shampoo, all linens and more. Owner did a great job communicating and everything worked out smoothly. He was very nice and easy to work with. The city , Alma, is small but it does have a well stocked grocery stall. The people at the store were super nice and I didn't mind paying a little bit more than I am use to. There is also a coffee shop with free WiFi access. There is soon much to do in the area. It is close to lots of 10, 12 , 14's. We took the kids hiking just up the road from the house and had some fun with our four wheel drive and a more scenic drive. We had some beautiful view from our several bikes. We also visited a few other national forest in the area. The house is close enough to Colorado Springs for day trip and Breckenridge is really close. It is also not to far from Denver. We will be back again.

Hidden gem in the mountain footsteps

This is an incredible home and owner. We spent a week in August 2014. It is in the footsteps of 6 14ers, a very close drive to Breckenridge over the scenic Hoosier Pass, walking distance from the funky bar and stores in Alma. You can tell that the owner takes pride in this property. My only recommendations would be to add wi fi as I had poor phone coverage on AT&T and needed to research trail maps and trip reports for hiking.

My home is located on the Continental Divide, with great access to Hiking one of many 14,000 foot mountains in the area. Skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, wildlife viewing, snow mobiling, atv tours, mountain biking, horseback riding are all available within a half-hour's drive.

Views of the local river valley abound.
