Lovely Gulf front unit at the popular Sandcastle I Condo in Indian Shores Florida. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from your 9th floor private balcony and spectacular sunsets that are sure to impress.

Enjoy unobstructed views of the beach and relax to the sound of the waves from the extra-large 22 foot balcony with sliding glass doors from the master bedroom and living room.

This condo has 2 spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a den that may be used as a third bedroom. Master Bedroom has a king size bed with 32' inch LED TV and private ensuite bathroom. Second bedroom has 2 queen beds and a 32' LCD TV, and the den/third bedroom has a full size bed. Comfortably sleeps 8 people.

Offers all the comforts of home with a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer located inside the condo. High speed internet and free WiFi. Condo has one assigned parking space as well as visitor parking on site.

Beautifully landscaped grounds, a beach front large heated pool, and hot tub. Other amenities include a sauna, game room with ping pong table, lending library, poolside bathrooms/change areas, two gas barbeques and picnic tables.

Indian Shores is located between Clearwater and St. Petersburg. It is approximately a 20 minute drive from St.Pete/Clearwater airport, 30 minutes from Tampa International airport.

There are many excellent restaurants including The Pub just across the street, Slyce Pizza, Crabby Bill’s, PJ’s Oyster Bar, Guppy’s and the five star Salt Rock Grill within a few minutes drive. These and many others offer fresh seafood and other favorites.

A variety of attractions are conveniently located nearby including Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Clearwater Marina (where Dolphin Tale movie was filmed) the Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo and John’s Pass. Disney Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, Sea World and the many other Orlando attractions are about 90 minutes away.

For those sport fans out there, take your pick…NFL Football (Buccaneers), Major League Baseball (Devil Rays, spring training for the Yankees, Blue Jays & Phillies), NHL Hockey (Lightning) and countless golf courses.

For the fishing enthusiasts, there are lots of options, from inshore to offshore, fishing piers, or trying to catch some of the lunkers that cruise the beach (Snook, Mackerel, Redfish, etc).

If boating is your thing, there are rentals available directly across the street on the intercoastal waterway & boat slips are available within walking distance.

For those who enjoy shopping, you won’t be disappointed. Shopping and outlet malls are all within a short drive.

The Suncoast Beach Trolley (stops outside the building) is a convenient way to get around on the beach if you don’t want to drive.

Our friends meet us every year at the Sandcastle I We have stayed in all three buildings and the property is a very nice . Not as modern as some but very nice. Would stay here again

A super week!

We loved staying in this unit. It was very clean. It is not totally up-to-date as far as countertops, flooring, etc. , but the price reflected that. We are a family who would rather save some money vs. staying in a unit with remodeled kitchen and baths. There were new couches in the living room :) The owners were wonderful to deal with and got back to us quickly with booking. The view is breathtaking! We didn't want to leave.

Wonderful Vacation on the Gulf

This is a lovely, comfortable condo, with everything you need for a wonderful stay in sunny Florida. It is close to great restaurants and everything you need for a great vacation. I would recommend it without hesitation.

"Economy condo"

Furniture is very dated, dirty, and potentially bought at a used store. All of it should be replaced. The master bed mattress is extremely soft, old, and hurt our backs. We bought our own bedding because the bedding/pillows were old and dirty. We bought and left two nice pillows. carpet is very bad and smelly. We bought febreeze. The kitchen is dated but clean. Bathrooms are small with oddly hung little fans. Not sure the electrical wiring is code.

The unit does have convenience items such as previously used beach equipment and kitchen items, I imagine from the many people that have stayed there have left items much like we did as well. The balcony is incredible with great views and we did enjoy the sunrise and sunsets!!!

The furniture on the patio is sturdy but aging and one piece broken.

This is definitely a revenue property for the owner, who clearly does not invest a lot. Make sure you do not pay a lot for this unit. This is the cheap option. We feel we overpaid (but VRBO wont let me share price)

Perhaps we were expecting too much of Tampa, but seems everyone smoked and the smell of smoke was everywhere even sitting on our balcony. Seems everyone brought these huge 10x10 canopies on the beach and took up most of the beach. Everyone would set up their canopy and leave them there all week. I suppose in order to enjoy this condo or this area you have to be a regular beachgoer and know all these little intricacies.

The beach is right outside the building and very nice. We hit the beach everyday and had a blast. Lots of people setting off fireworks till 1am and left tons of garage on the beach. Sad.

The pool at Sandcastle 1 and hot tub are very nice. The equipment is in great shape. The lights stay on till 11 p.m. and people stay long after. The building itself is clearly very dated. Unfortunately once again always people chain-smoking at the pool, dropping ashes on the concrete making people in bare feet walk in it. Rude!!!!

Yes I'm an ex smoker and it bugs me alot. Im also from he north where smoking is no longer prevelant. Was really really odd sitting in smoking restaurants.

The area around the condo is typical cheesy cliche beach stuff with overpriced restaurants and rough looking locals. This is not a high-class area. Definitely past it's prime.

If you want nicer and have the money go north to Clearwater. If you are on a budget and willing to forgive some inconvenience, this is a fine choice for location.

We do appreciate the candidness of our guests and we are always looking to improve our unit. We have already made plans to replace the living & dining room furniture and the king mattress next month while we are at the condo. The bedding is always replaced and washed in between visits. Pillows get replaced 1-2 times every year. The carpet is steam cleaned 1-2 per year. We inspect and replace broken items 1-2 times per year. This is not just an investment property for us, this is also a place where our family and friends can enjoy a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of some of the busier beaches. Our price reflects the condition of not just the unit, but the building itself. There are other units at the Sandcastle I complex that have had 80-90k worth of renovations and they are priced app. 25-40% more than our unit. We do have plans for a major renovation in the next 1-2 years and our prices will also rise to reflect the current market value for the area. Until we do the renos, our condo will still meet the needs of a budget conscious traveler. For those that want 4-5 star accommodations you will be paying $400-500 per night elsewhere. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and we appreciate the review.

Loved it!!

This was a great place to stay!! There was my husband and I with our two kids and my parents. We all loved the room and quiet beach. The furniture is showing wear and the parking was difficult, but everything else was amazing!

beach get a way for 8=awesome

Over all this stay was great. The only negative is we were told 2 parking passes, but when we arrived, policy was change to 1. We were taken care of after expressing our frustrastion. The room had everything you

Could think of and those things you forgot. Beach is clean, security is great. Don't for get to cap hunt at night, we will be back.
