Homosassa is a step back in time. We live one hour away but rush to the River every chance we get. We own the houses on either side of this property so it was a stroke of good luck to be able to add this cottage to our rentals when it came up for sale. This cottage has given our extended family and friends lots of vacation memories. The adjacent 2 bed/2bath rental is available--perfect for large families. Away from the hustle and bustle, it really is a place to relax and enjoy nature.
This is a quiet, safe neighborhood where young and old alike can find plenty to do. Whether it's golf, fishing, swimming with the manatees, kayaking or just enjoying a quiet afternoon with a good book. It's very peaceful.
This property boasts of 75 feet of dock space. Drive your boat to the back door, clean your fish or scallops, and leave your gear for tomorrow's run. Manatees and dolphins occasionally make an appearance.
We stayed for a week in November and could not have had a better stay. The house is very nicely appointed, very clean, and Cindy is a wonderful hostess. Beautiful yard and dock with plenty of room for trailer parking. Dock is in very quiet, protected area with no thru traffic. We will definitely return to stay again!
This was our first trip to Homosassa and we could not have had a better experience. Everything was clean, organized and the owners were very helpful in guiding us where to go. We could not have asked for a better vacation spot. We will certainly be returning here in the future.
Perfect waterfront home for a vacation to homosassa, nice long dock with cleaning table comes in useful for cleaning scallops. Will be returning.
This was our first home three years ago that we stay twice during Scalloping season. The perfect location right near The Run if you are familiar with Homosassa but close enough to the Springs. The cottage is a perfect place to stay. One of my favorite features is their boat dock which is plenty big for two boats averaging 22+ feet. Also having your own cleaning station is a plus. Pricing I feel as totally fair as we waited late one year to book and paid a lot more for a house that was so-so. Looking forward to go again in two weeks.
The other reviews pretty much say it all. This place was great for our group to use as a base station for scalloping and Cindy gave us all the local knowledge to make the most of our trip! We would definitely recommend this place to any others traveling to this location.
Older home but is in great location. Stocked with anything you might need and extremely comfortable and clean. We had a great time and took our own boat. The dock and fish cleaning table are a plus because we fished every day but the one day it rained. Would definitely stay here again and will try to get back during cooler weather. Price is fair and you won't be disappointed.
