I echo and confirm what the 49 reviewers before me have said about this townhouse and our host Sanna. So I will add something I did not see on any other reviews: Sanna did not shy away from children and the townhouse is spacious and comfortable to accommodate different ages. We like to travel the world, so we go everywhere with a multitude of different aged family members. Sanna hosted without flinching Grandma, parents, and 5 kids in the double and single digits... The townhouse comes with 2 comfortable aerobeds that fit either inside the rooms, or you can place the kids in the downstairs right in front of the projector screen (it's vacation time after all). There are several areas where to set them down to eat, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Of importance: Thank you Sanna for providing salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, sugar, coffee... and many other essentials... It makes travelling a lot simpler. The townhouse is ideally located for adult life, as well as to walk to centennial park attractions wtih the kids. It's a 30 minute max walk (age dependent :) You can take public transport as well and make it there much sooner (you can drive, of course). Lastly, the Sweet Auburn Market is only a few blocks away...YUM!!
Sanna's condo was a great location for our group. It was a block away from the King complex, night life and a short drive to the Georgia World Congress Center where we attended a convention. Since we did have a car we were happy there was a garage as street parking was limited depending on the time of day. Inside the condo was very clean and roomy. There was 5 in our group so there was plenty of space for the airbed. One thing I would mention though,
there are two flights of stairs from the door to the bedrooms. This was a challenge for some in our group however that was the only issue we had. Otherwise I would definitely recommend it as an affordable option.
This is home is awesome!!!!!
We had a group of 8 girls between the age 20 and 29 just hanging out in ATLANTA. We had a blast. This home is spacious, clean, modern, and CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. There were restarurants, bars and clubs right behind the home which made it even better. We slept 8 people very comfortably!!
If u had to sat anything about the home, I would say that the owner should include a full body mirror because everyone always wants to look at themselves!!!! Lol. The owner is great we loved it and are already planning our next trip back.
We had a great experience in Atlanta.
Admittedly, having never been to Atlanta before, we were a bit out of our element. As others have mentioned, this area is going through some positive change and growth. In an early stage, it appears to be primed for nice restaurants and pubs with a good range of local people making it happen. The neighborhood seemed a bit rough at first, but we were quickly enamored with its history and charm.
Upon arrival, we were a bit surprised to find a locked door at the bottom of the stairwell that appeared to have access to the home. I gave Sanna a call and she quickly put me at ease, assuring me it was key locked on both sides and was not accessible by the long term tenant below. She even later followed up to make sure we were okay and happy. We were!
We went out on the first evening and found Mother's bar to be a nice spot with a friendly atmosphere. As others have mentioned, it can be loud at night which is to be expected being near the action. In our experience, it was when the bars closed and people came briefly out made some noise then settled down. We were okay with it, heck, we were on vacation.
The next day we actually walked to the Olympic Park and Aquarium (30 minutes). A great walk allowing us to see more of the area and stumble across a nice local deli called Reuben's. We were personally more into the historical neighborhood than the tourist zone, but had a fine time anyway.
Our final day was the most rewarding. Discovering that we were a short walk away from the birthplace and neighborhood of Martin Luther King Jr. was quite exciting. A mere 3 block walk and you are at the King Center and the heart of his neighborhood. Ebenezer Baptist Church, his birth home, and final resting place. A highly recommended place for education and reflection.
This was a unique rental in an interesting area. Sometimes you just can't predict what you will find. This was a fun surprise for us... that and Sanna's hospitality, I'm giving this place a 5.
We stayed here for our anniversary weekend. Great location. The condo was easy to navigate and the pictures don't do it justice. Sanna was a great host. The music is a bit loud on the weekends at the surround restaurants/clubs but once you go to sleep you don't even notice it's there. I will be staying here again!
I found this property well suited for my family with 2 young children. Neighborhood has good access to street markets and the MLK memorial, which includes ample open space, and a playground well suited to children under 10. Access to the street car line made transfer from MARTA and transit to the aquarium easy.
We stayed at 412 Chamberlain while in town for the Peach Bowl. It was easy to access our destinations on foot or taxi. Lots of cool restaurants and bars right around the corner The townhouse was modern and very comfortable with all the amenities of home. Loved the two balconies. I will stay here again when in Atlanta. The owner was extremely responsive and welcoming. Overall excellent experience from start to finish!
