It is one of the most beautiful and welcoming regions in France, well known for its unspoiled environment, a varying landscape with small-scale agriculture and beautiful forests, rivers and streams, famous castles, historic villages with nice marketplaces and well-tended gardens. It is really the ultimate holiday setting. And let's not forget its excellent/famous menu of regional specialities: truffles, mushrooms, foie gras, duck, venison, trout, strawberries, etc.

Why Chantal and Hubert Willems chose Salignac-Eyvigues
Hameau (Hamlet) de Vacances les Bernardies offers privacy and quiet, but also the cosiness of a small village where people meet at the court yard, the swimming pool, tennis court, etc. It is a beautiful restored hamlet from the 17th century (or older), with the houses (in Perigord style) enjoy the comfort of Today. The village is located on a hill in a beautiful setting with splendid views on the surroundings. It is located just 15 km from Sarlat and in the middle of all touristic highlights from Perigord Noir, Lot and Correze. easy reachable from the A20 highway Paris-Toulouse or by airplane (Brive, but also Bergerac, Limoges), or train (Sarlat from Bordeaux), Souillac (from Paris/Toulouse). As we live ourselves in the manor at Les Bernardies, we are most of the day available to assist our clients. We are always happy to provide you with some tips/recommendations what to visit and where/what to eat and drink. Les Bernardies is perfectly located to visit the Perigord Noir (Sarlat Dordogne and Vezere valley) as well as the Lot and the western part of Correze. In our bakery house/library, we have several guides/booklets of places to visit, next to books and bord games. In addition, in the period June- mid September, we have a bread service: order your bread in the evening, and at your doorstep the following morning. And when we are taking care of our animals, you're welcome to look on/help. We also have courses for our guests, varying from art classes to food classes. And at request, we can take you on a walking tour. Living at Les Bernardies and entertaining guests is a dream come true. And I hope I can share that dream a bit with you in the future when you come to visit Les Bernardies.
