DUPONT HOUSE: This classic Block Island home is located high off Beacon Hill Road. Situated on 12 rolling acres, this house offers supreme privacy and beautiful ocean and island views. The property is connected to miles and miles of the island’s Greenway trails. Main house has an old Block Island feel with low ceilings and an eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room, full bathroom, outside shower, and several bedrooms. Separate bunkhouse offers extra sleeping arrangements and a half bath. Amenities include dishwasher, toaster, microwave, coffee pot, washer & dryer, charcoal grill, and WiFi.
WiFi Disclaimer: Internet connection island-wide is limited in the busy summer months. The connection should be sufficient for web browsing, email, etc but will most likely not be enough for streaming or downloading.

Based on the pictures of this property I really wasn't sure what it was going to be like. The pictures don't do this place justice. It is bigger than it looks with cathedral type ceiling except below the loft level. This house couldn't be in a better spot on BI. This house is all about location. No frills but who needs frills when you have beach on either side of you within minimal walking distance! We never went to any other spot on BI for the beach. The sun rises on one side of the house in the morning and sets on the other. Great great views and got wonderful pictures of these and all the deer in the morning too! It is a bit of a ride to town on a mostly sand road...yes sand...not dirt. So we really wouldn't bring our bikes next time. My kids had a ball and the loft area was perfect for them (ages 9 &10). I wouldn't put young kids up there though. I've been reluctant to tell any of my friends about the house because I don't want them to snag it from beneath me! I just want to keep it a secret!
