Dry Falls The newly renovated park is terrific - there is access for handicapped viewing of the falls, picnic tables and plenty of parking. The view of the falls from the handicapped area is a great place for a photo op. One thing to be aware of - the restrooms are only out houses - no running water. If that seems like it's "roughing it" a little too much, you may have to hold it until you get back to town... Highlands Playhouse Highlands Playhouse is a great theatre; small, comfortable, right in the center of town. They usually offer 2 musicals/musical reviews, and two other plays each summer. Word of advice to out of town visitors, there are a lot of good restauraunts in the area, but none of them are fast, if you are eating out before the show, make an early reservation and tell them you have a show to catch. Only place open after a show (about 9ish) is usually Brick Oven Pizza, about a block away from the Playhouse Highlands Biological Station The Laboratory, Nature Center, and Botanical Garden are part of the Station, which is supported in part by the Foundation. The three panels of the logo symbolize these entities: The Nature Center is represented by the salamander, the Botanical Garden by Oconee Bells, and the research and educational dimension of the Station and Foundation is represented by the central panel signifying the ecology of the Highlands Plateau. Jackson Hole Trading Post The Laboratory, Nature Center, and Botanical Garden are part of the Station, which is supported in part by the Foundation. Highland Country Club This 18-hole Bent grass course with water in play was designed and built by Donald Ross in 1928.
