This is the ONLY single family home in the GARDEN DISTRICT. Look at the map closely. You will see tons of FALSE advertising. The GARDEN DISTRICT is 5 x 8 blocks which are the borders of St. Charles, Louisiana Magazine & Jackson. Nearly every VRBO property listed in the Garden District is NOT in the Garden District. Lower Garden District is a totally different world and is NOT patrolled by the private Garden District Security. Properties north of St Charles tend to be in ROUGH areas. ABOUT OUR PROPERTY: Executive home on the premier street, St Charles avenue, with the premier location in New Orleans. This is a really, really nice property that just completed a very high end renovation. This is not an 'animal house'. We do not permit bachelor parties or single night usage. It is a property meant for those responsible and mature. This property means a lot to our family and we are select in offering our property. 3 bedrooms + very large media room that can serve as another bedroom all with brand new memory foam mattresses. Master suite includes a private living area and over-sized walk-in dressing room. 3.5 baths are tastefully decorated. Eye opening living room and stunning dining room with wet bar/icemaker and wide open kitchen includes all modern appliances. This is an impressive place to entertain. Wireless internet and the finest security system complement the 24 hour neighborhood security along with an iron gate for up to 2 parked cars. The famous streetcar stops directly in front of the property with the city bus stopping only a few feet farther. Buy a $3 jazzy pass for 24 hour, unlimited streetcar and bus transportation and you can reach any part of the city in minutes. French quarter/downtown takes about 5 minutes. You do not need to rent a car. One block to the world famous Commander's Palace restaurant, Lafayette cemetery and all the mansion walking tours. The most concentrated section of restaurants, bars and shops on magazine street are only a few blocks. Nearly every visitor to New Orleans will walk by this property, thus if you enjoy people watching, then this really adds to the ambiance.

Oooozing with Charm...AND Convenience!

Our stay in this charming, beautifully appointed, and conveniently located abode could not have been a more perfect getaway for my husband & myself! Innkeepers/home owners Randy & Ann exhibited all of the warmth & southern hospitality we could have dreamt of! The house was all very tastefully & whimsically dressed up for Mardi Gras which really set the stage for an amazing first stay in NOLA. We would most definitely recommend this jewel to any group or twosome planning a visit to this "...land of dreams."!!!!

Beautiful home in a wonderful location

We rented this home for 6 days to attend a family wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased. The home is in a wonderful location with the street car stop right in front of the house. The home was very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. Other family members had also rented near this same area but all were very impressed with this home in particular.

The owners were very helpful and met a family member to walkthrough the home and answer any questions. They had left us some drinks in the refrigerator and some goodies which were greatly appreciated and made us feel very welcome.

If and when we get back to New Orleans, we will definitely rent this great home again.

Great Garden District Home

This home is in a great location down the street from the commander's palace and the Lafayette cemetery. The St. Charles rail car stop is right out front for easy access to the quarter. The home is very nicely decorated and has a very traditional feel. Everything was as promised. The owner met us at the property and gave us a tour/instructions. Great trip for a family vacation.

Wonderful home in great location!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our party of five. Spacious living areas. Large kitchen stocked with everything we could possibly need. Owners met us at the house to greet us and show us everything we needed to know. Gated parking area for our car. Streetcar stops right outside. Highly recommend this great property!

Lovely townhouse in great neighborhood

Perfect location for a group or large family like ours to catch all New Orleans has to offer, from the beauty of an historic neighborhood instead of the congestion of the Quarter. Catch the trolley right outside the house or walk around the garden district, hang out on Magazine Street, have dinner At Commander's Palace right down the block. The house has lots of space and is tastefully decorated. Owners were super helpful providing recommendations for food and drink. Bathrooms need upgrading though, which is the only mar on the 5 star rating.

Owner's Response: When we renovated this property, we felt it was important to keep the old new orleans charm visible...exposed old St Louis brick walls...original wood flooring refinished...bathrooms with iron & ceramic tubs and highly decorative floor inlays of tile to go with classic marble countertops so that when one travels to the crescent city, they feel as if they are a part of the history of the city

Beautiful home in a great location!

We stayed here for JazzFest with some friends this year. The location could not have been better! The trolley was right outside the door. Commanders Palace was virtually around the corner within easy walking distance. The home itself had everything that we needed, plenty of space and all amenities......will definitely stay here again!

Enjoy a private dressing room and en suite bathroom with new gorgeous counter tops. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed with new memory foam mattress. Two closets provide more storage than needed. A flat screen tv for your enjoyment is part of the room's decor. Great views of the people strolling by the grand oaks of the Garden District makes this terrific. Bedroom 3 is a beautiful classic turquoise old new Orleans color with flat screen TV and two twin beds that can be combined as a full size bed. Two closets provide ample storage.
