This is the ONLY single family home in the GARDEN DISTRICT. Look at the map closely. You will see tons of FALSE advertising. The GARDEN DISTRICT is 5 x 8 blocks which are the borders of St. Charles, Louisiana Magazine & Jackson. Nearly every VRBO property listed in the Garden District is NOT in the Garden District. Lower Garden District is a totally different world and is NOT patrolled by the private Garden District Security. Properties north of St Charles tend to be in ROUGH areas. ABOUT OUR PROPERTY: Executive home on the premier street, St Charles avenue, with the premier location in New Orleans. This is a really, really nice property that just completed a very high end renovation. This is not an 'animal house'. We do not permit bachelor parties or single night usage. It is a property meant for those responsible and mature. This property means a lot to our family and we are select in offering our property. 3 bedrooms + very large media room that can serve as another bedroom all with brand new memory foam mattresses. Master suite includes a private living area and over-sized walk-in dressing room. 3.5 baths are tastefully decorated. Eye opening living room and stunning dining room with wet bar/icemaker and wide open kitchen includes all modern appliances. This is an impressive place to entertain. Wireless internet and the finest security system complement the 24 hour neighborhood security along with an iron gate for up to 2 parked cars. The famous streetcar stops directly in front of the property with the city bus stopping only a few feet farther. Buy a $3 jazzy pass for 24 hour, unlimited streetcar and bus transportation and you can reach any part of the city in minutes. French quarter/downtown takes about 5 minutes. You do not need to rent a car. One block to the world famous Commander's Palace restaurant, Lafayette cemetery and all the mansion walking tours. The most concentrated section of restaurants, bars and shops on magazine street are only a few blocks. Nearly every visitor to New Orleans will walk by this property, thus if you enjoy people watching, then this really adds to the ambiance.

The King Bed and new memory foam mattresses will insure a great night's sleep. View St Charles Avenue and people watch from each angle of the suite. Enjoy a private dressing room and en suite bathroom with new gorgeous counter tops. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed with new memory foam mattress. Two closets provide more storage than needed. A flat screen tv for your enjoyment is part of the room's decor. Great views of the people strolling by the grand oaks of the Garden District makes this terrific. Bedroom 3 is a beautiful classic turquoise old new Orleans color with flat screen TV and two twin beds that can be combined as a full size bed. Two closets provide ample storage. Views of the oak lined streets are direct from two large old south windows.

Comfortable ~ Convenient ~ Friendly

My girlfriends and I stayed 5 nights in this elegant example of Historic Louisiana charm and architecture. We absolutely LOVED and were entirely IMPRESSED with its overall beauty and comforts!! The layout was perfect for our group - everyone had their own space, privacy and with the 3 & ½ bathrooms - there was never any wait. The furniture was beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. Although we didn't cook anything during our stay, the kitchen was fully stocked with anything we might have needed to do so. All the TVs and the Wi-Fi worked great and the air conditioning/climate control management system in the house kept everyone comfortable. Being we are all from the Pacific Northwest and not being accustomed to the extreme difference in Louisiana's weather, this was very critical for us.

The convenience of the house having its own private and secure parking area provided peace of mind in an unfamiliar area. The Street Car stop being right outside the front door of the house made for quick and easy access to the French Quarter and other surrounding attractions stress free for checking out local shops, restaurants, and other surrounding attractions.

The owners (Randy and Ann) were so very patient, kind and considerate. They helped us navigate the unfamiliar area, through all the street construction which was currently going on at the time, and straight to the house on our first night. Although it was late when we arrived, they happily provided a personal tour of the house, offered suggestions of great places to eat in the area and other historical interests in the area to visit. We were informed of amenities available for our use within the house, given clear instructions as to the expectations the house was to be left in and topped all this off with a delightful gift of some authentic Louisiana foods and little treats as well as a refrigerator stocked with beverages to enjoy during our stay ........ True Southern Hospitality at it's Best !

This truly was a great vacation, thoroughly enjoyed by all, and made even more memorable with the experience renting this house. We will definitely choose this house for all future visits to New Orleans!

Great location with plenty of room

Our family of 4 included one college and one high-school age child. This townhouse gave us plenty of room to spread out. The first floor consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen and half bathroom. The second floor is where the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and laundry (full-size machines - not stackables) are. The third floor has the family/media room and another bathroom. Randy and Ann are very gracious hosts and easy to reach via phone, text, or email. Our full deposit was returned right away. The house was clean and well stocked, including several refrigerated and pantry food and beverage items, paper goods, laundry products, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The location is great! This place is located in a safe neighborhood, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The house is directly on St. Charles, so the traffic (and noise) is present, but the benefit of that is having so many public transportation options available. You can buy a 24-hour day pass for $3 per person and ride the street car that stops right in front of the house, or walk to Magazine St. to catch a bus. We would recommend this location and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Oooozing with Charm...AND Convenience!

Our stay in this charming, beautifully appointed, and conveniently located abode could not have been a more perfect getaway for my husband & myself! Innkeepers/home owners Randy & Ann exhibited all of the warmth & southern hospitality we could have dreamt of! The house was all very tastefully & whimsically dressed up for Mardi Gras which really set the stage for an amazing first stay in NOLA. We would most definitely recommend this jewel to any group or twosome planning a visit to this "...land of dreams."!!!!

Beautiful home in a wonderful location

We rented this home for 6 days to attend a family wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased. The home is in a wonderful location with the street car stop right in front of the house. The home was very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. Other family members had also rented near this same area but all were very impressed with this home in particular.

The owners were very helpful and met a family member to walkthrough the home and answer any questions. They had left us some drinks in the refrigerator and some goodies which were greatly appreciated and made us feel very welcome.

If and when we get back to New Orleans, we will definitely rent this great home again.
