The tranquil beauty of Inks Lake is unlike any other lake in Texas. The lack of restaurants and bars on the water’s edge keeps the lake cleaner, quieter, and more private than the rest of the Highland Lakes chain. This is exactly why it is the favorite of so many people, there is a genuine charm at Inks that you don’t find elsewhere.
Our house on Clear Creek is a little spot of heaven. It was built in 1951, but totally remodeled in 2012, with loving attention paid to every detail. It is equally appropriate for families as it is for a romantic getaway. The bird watching from the rock patio is wonderful at any time of the year; fishing from our dock is usually busy and successful; kayaking the open water is the best exercise you can give your mind, body, and spirit. If you want to stretch out and read; cook up a delicious meal; sit at your computer and do work in your pajamas, it’s all there, only better than ever.
We have everything you need: fully loaded kitchen with secondary fridge, two dining tables indoors and more outdoors, linens, propane and charcoal grills, 2 kayaks, picnic table at water’s edge, fire pit and more. There is a large flat screened television and DVR.
We are driving distance from San Antonio, Austin, Llano, and Fredericksburg, all easy day-trips.

This house is darling! The lake is beautiful, the neighbors are sweet, the trees and yard are fabulous. There are so many things to do within a short drive we couldn't do them all!
I went to Camp Longhorn as a child, so this place is pure heaven to me. We will definitely be back! I'm looking forward to coming here as often as possible.
Our only complaint is that we had to leave. If you ever envisioned purchasing a lakehouse, this property would be what you would look for. Professionally managed & maintained, a fabulous location, lush grass, mature 40' cypress trees at the water's edge, simple and comfortable accommodations, and a beautiful view. As for what to do, the list is endless, from kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming, or just soaking up the sun. We did it all and plan on doing it again soon.
This was one of the best vacations we have taken in the last five years. We wanted to get away from it all but not have to drive for days! This place was perfect for our family. We rested, enjoyed the lake, ate home cooked meals and played games. It was so relaxing and wonderful. The view from the porch was amazing and the proximity to everything was very nice. We drove all around the lake and into Burnet several times. The views alone are worth the trip. We loved this vacation so much and plan to do this again.
