About Karen Menne
Family is number one in our hearts and we're lucky that our grown kids and wonderful grandchildren all live in the great Pacific NW. We love sports and live an active lifestyle along with being diehard fans of the Oregon Ducks! We love to travel to all areas that have the activities we enjoy such as hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, wine tasting, etc.
Karen Menne purchased this House in 2005
Why Karen Menne chose Manzanita

The perfect place for our family!
Thank you to the Menne Family for sharing their beautiful home with us for our Thanksgiving holiday vacation. The home was perfectly furnished with everything we needed. We all slept very well...the bed and sheets are so comfy! Also Manzanita is a lovely town...we will be back!
Lovely beach house
I spent two weeks here and it was all that I hoped for! Karen was very prompt and accommodating. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and the neighborhood is nice.
My favorite place to go was Nehalem bay state park, quick, flat two mile hike to the a quiet beach. I had the beach all to myself!
Our favorite place to stay in Manzanita
We love this house it is comfortable and clean with a beautiful view of the ocean.
Thank you Natasha...so happy you were able to com e back for your vacation!
Wonderful home for a getaway!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Karen’s vacation home! It is a comfortable, beautifully-decorated home with plenty of space for our family of 6, in a great location close to town and the beach. It’s in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path, just right for exploring on foot or by bicycle.
Upon arrival, we were surprised to find the bedrooms downstairs and living areas upstairs, but realized that’s to take advantage of the amazing views from the living and dining room! We especially loved the “crow’s nest” loft, and spent a lot of time sitting in the big comfy chairs relaxing, reading, and looking at the waves. What a treat!
The spacious kitchen had every appliance and utensil we needed to cook, and the table was big enough for all of us to eat together. We’ve found a large table is a rarity in vacation rentals, so we really appreciated this! The table was also the site of raucous board games in the evenings—check out the game closet in the front bedroom!
The bedrooms are all very comfortable, with big windows in each and adjoining bathrooms. There was plenty of hot water for 6 people to shower—also unusual, and definitely appreciated.
Our kids particularly liked the hot tub and fire pit, and they walked to the nearby tennis and basketball courts almost every day. They are already asking when we can return!
You will not be disappointed with a stay in this home. 5 stars all around!
We are located near Nehalem Bay State Park which has a boat ramp for fishing and crabbing; miles of hiking and biking trails and lots of wildlife viewing. Our gated neighborhood has it's own basketball and tennis courts.
Manzanita, Oregon is a quiet, peaceful beach town located in Tillamook County on the Northern Oregon Coast.
Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain comes right down into the sea on the north end of Manzanita, bisecting the beach - with Manzanita Beach on its south side and Short Sands Beach on the north. A trail up the mountain leads to a breathtaking panoramic view of the Northern Oregon Coast and the Pacific Ocean. Manzanita is sandwiched between two beautiful state parks - Oswald West to the north and Nehalem Bay State Park on the south..
Manzanita cozies up to Manzanita Beach, which stretches for seven miles between Neahkahnie Mountain and the Nehalem Jetty where Nehalem Bay and Nehalem River meet the Pacific Ocean. If you feel up for a good walk, head south on Manzanita Beach and walk to the jetty which is usually covered with seals lounging on the rocks or fishing in the water, along with heron and egrets standing on one foot in the surf.
