About the property

Modern 3-bedroom 2 bathroom (1 -en suite) open concept vacation home offering over 3,200 square feet of living space and sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. Church lake is a pristine spring fed lake ideal for swimming, boating, fishing and the property is nestled among 2 acres of land providing complete privacy.

Situated on the scenic lighthouse trail only 15 minutes from Mahone Bay (offering one of the most photographed views in Canada the Three Churches of Mahone Bay). A short drive along the lighthouse route will provide access to the most beautiful ocean beaches the shoreline of Nova Scotia has to offer. Minutes away visit the town of Lunenburg ( a world UNESCO site) and also home port of Nova Scotia's sailing ambassador, the Bluenose 11. Fine dining, unique gift shops, a world class golf course and local attractions are nearby . The master bedroom has a walk in glass shower and garden doors leading to a 66' deck (with a 10' x 12' gazebo) overlooking the lake. The other 2 bedrooms offer a lake view also and there is a second washroom with a hydro massage tub and laundry facilities within that wing of the home. On the lower level of the home is a pool table, dart board, a 14' oak bar , dance floor complete with a disco ball, a TV and stereo.Take a day trip to explore the historic city of Halifax, Nova Scotia's capital and the famous Peggy's Cove lighthouse all within an hour drive.

A day at the lake: Relax along the lake shore perched on a 12' x 16' deck at the waters edge, float in a giant inner tube, go fishing, explore the local waterfalls....take in the spectacular sunsets, roast marshmallows by the fire, BBQ, watch the Bald Eagles soaring in the air and listen to the call of the loons (there are 2 families of loons on the lake)

1) Please be respectful regarding separation of trash, different recyclables and compost items. Nova Scotia has strict regulation policies regarding recycling,you will be provided with a brochure explaining our recycle program in Nova Scotia.

2) Do not flush strong chemicals as they will destroy the organic processes of our septic system.

3) Please do not flush feminine or any sanitary products as they will cause serious damage.

4) No smoking inside the house.

5) We seek to maintain respect from our neighbours so please respect them.

Camp Fires: there is an area on the property for small camp fires. Camp fire wood is supplied to a limit and additional wood can be purchased along the roadside in various communities.

FIRE RESTRICTIONS. We ask that guests use common sense when having a camp fire. There are times when the forest is extremely dry and fires are restricted across the province. Guests will be provided with the website of the Nova Scotia Lands & Forrest, which provides a map of fire restrictions.

Please abide by these regulations. If our neighbours detect any smoke during the Fire Restriction period they WILL notify the authorities.

Owner attempts to properly maintain the vacation rental. The vacationer agrees to immediately notify the owner of any maintenance problem, so that the situation can be remedied as soon as possible. Owner is not responsible for any inconveniences that may occur for which he has no control. This includes, but is not limited to: Power outages, adverse weather conditions, mandatory evacuation, construction, mechanical failure such as television, etc. No refunds will be given for occurrences beyond the owners control. Owner shall not be held liable for any injuries that may occur to vacationers or their guests as a result of the acts of said vacationers or their belongings during their stay at the vacation rental.

Beautiful Lakefront Home!

My family and I spent 3 nights over Thanksgiving weekend at Bill and Judy’s lakefront home.

The house is spacious, beautiful, and well equipped with 3 good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful open concept kitchen, dining living room with a gas fireplace. The downstairs game room was a bonus. We had a great time playing pool, and darts. The kids enjoyed roasting s’mores around the very well designed fire pit.

We brought our own paddle board and kayak and even swam in the lake on October 7th.

Hope to be back!

Everything a vacation home should be!

Sounds of loons graced the lake, morning coffee included watching an owl perched on nearby tree, enjoyment of expansive decks with more comforts than one could ask for, all contributing to our group of 4's enjoyment of this beautiful Chalet. A gorgeous great room overlooking the lake, perfect sleeping accommodations, laundry facilities and so many perks ! We enjoyed tubing on the lake, several day trips,( highly recommend the Lunenburg Winery, we were treated to lots of sampling !) was always a pleasure to return back to this wonderful vacation home. Thank you to our hosts Bill and Judy!
