About Lin Peterson
John and Lin bought this property for their retirement, they hope to live here in the summers at some point, in the meantime, they rent their home to help to pay for it, so please take care of our home as if it were your own, so we can continue to share it with others.
Lin Peterson purchased this House in 2012
Why Lin Peterson chose Harrington
It is a dream come true, we love the main coast, watching the wildlife on our secluded 11 acres, fishing, and relaxing, clambakes by the beach, exploring the area, Acadia National Park, and just getting away from it all!!!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
BEAUTIFUL SECLUDED HOME
Just returned from our stay at Misty Tides.
The house was comfortable, clean, and well maintained.
Very peaceful surroundings with a bit of wildlife.
We had a mama deer with her baby in the mornings grazing on the lawn, a visit from a porcupine in the evenings, and a resident bunny. We had some great rides on our motorcycles exploring Acadia as well as of Lubec. Kayaking and biking.
The sunrises were amazingly beautiful.
We would recommend this house for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing vacation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was exactly what we were looking for - right on the water and secluded, no traffic noise, etc. The house is clean and has pretty much everything you would need, such as in the kitchen. John and Lin clearly try to take very good care of their guests. Perfect amount of space for 4 adults, and we loved that there is both a sunny and shady area of the deck! It was also cool seeing wildlife and going for walks on the property. Make sure you read through the whole guest binder upon arrival as it has a wealth of helpful information! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!
Peaceful, quiet and comfortable home.
This is our second year in a row booking this home. Yes, I would go back for a third! We were on the road every day seeking out hiking trails of which there are many to choose from. When we were at the house it was very relaxing just sitting and listening to the song birds. There is plenty of wildlife, Mama and baby rabbits, porcupines and on our last day we had the privilege of observing a baby fawn in the yard. There are also many deer to be observed along the the long driveway into this lovely home. The home is very clean with comfy beds we look forward to another week at this rental in the future!
Long and deceiving toad in but lovely place! Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Tides coming and going, wildlife and peaceful surroundings. A true retreat. The home itself is lovely and comfortable. Owners very helpful.
We enjoyed a quiet vacation in Lin and John’s house. The house is comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Lin promptly replied to my questions. The kitchen is well supplied for when we cooked. We spent time exploring Acadia as well as the town of Lubec to the north. Both are a bit more than an hour’s drive from Harrington so the house was located conveniently for what we wanted to explore. We’d recommend this house for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Everything was there that you would possibly need, would recommend this house definitely
