Buckhorn Cabin began its life as a simple cabin in Kentucky, built in 1790. In 1995 the cabin was meticulously re-assembled on a gorgeous tree-covered lot just three short blocks from the heart of Main Street shops. Though the cabin's origins are humble, we have gone the extra mile to provide every luxury amenity today's most discriminating traveler expects.
The cabin offers a spacious king size bedroom downstairs complete with luxurious silk and velvet bedding and a 42' TV with extended cable selections. Adjacent to the bedroom you will find a large bathroom complete with an enormous whirlpool bath tub for two. Above the tub is a soothing rainwater shower.
The den offers vaulted ceilings and a rock wood-burning fireplace with a butter-soft leather sectional sofa and a second 42' flat screen TV with extended cable. The den opens to a mini-kitchen complete with a mini-fridge and microwave and dining area. Overlooking the spacious den is an open loft which includes a second king size bedroom (note: this bedroom is open to the den area below.)
In addition to all the indoor amenities offered by this spacious 1140 square foot cabin, our guests also enjoy a large front porch just perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The view from the porch is amazing as it faces an unbelievably charming water feature complete with waterfall and goldfish as well as one of the largest and undeniably most beautiful oak trees in all of Fredericksburg.
Of course you will also love the private Hot Springs hot tub nestled beside the cabin, just off the front porch. You are sure to love the hot tub's great view of our little pond and waterfall and the delightful lawn. Enjoy a day of shopping Fredericksburg's Main Street or touring the wineries and then head back to Buckhorn Cabin and soak your cares away. When only the best will do, Buckhorn Cabin is the obvious choice!
My husband and I come to Fredericksburg every year for our anniversary, and we love to try a new B&B every time. This was our third stay now, and though all of them were fantastic, I think Buckhorn Cabin has a bit of an edge. It was so very luxurious and perfect for both a man or a woman. I couldn't get over that the main cabin was built in the 1790's... as a history lover, that was just a fantastic plus for me! The bed and bedding was the most comfortable and luxurious I have EVER slept in. Didn't want to leave the cabin!! And my husband and I both agreed that the jacuzzi spa tub out back really pushed this B&B over the edge of awesomeness. We sat out there both very chilly nights and relaxed with some wine... wonderful memories were made, for sure. We highly recommend!
A couple more awesome features we were impressed with:
--super clean
--awesome location and very walkable to Main St.
--incredible attention to detail in decor
--Keurig coffeemaker!!!
--lovely, large bathroom with awesome tub and shower
--copper sinks -
-super soft towels, and lots of them!
--two huge TVs
--fireplace
--cozy loft with extra KING sized bed
A++++!!!
