Lance Pippin purchased this apartment in 1998
If you want an authentic New Orleans experience come see me. This is not for the French Quarter tourist (no offense) This is a true neighborhood feel. You can walk, shop, eat, and discover to your hearts content. I've lived in this city for 20 years. I would not want to live anywhere else. Just blocks to the Uptown parade routs, fantastic cemetaries, Audobon Park and Zoo. Come on by and pass a GREAT time.
Early 1900s construction with new renovation. This property was owned by the Curtis family. Mr Curtis was one of the original Superdome Architects. This property was the Uptown Justice of the Peace for decades starting in the 30s. I have been an owner/occupant for 15 years and I LOVE it!!!!!!
This second story 2 bedroom apartment was just off Magazine street where there are lots of great restaurants and specialty shops. It is about 15 minute cab ride to the French Quarter. Or 20 minutes or so by bus which you can catch a couple blocks from the apartment. The apartment was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The washer/dryer came in handy. We enjoyed having breakfast at out leisure before heading out for the day.
This unit was really spacious, very clean, and in a great location. I stayed with a group of four, we attended jazz fest this year. This house was in walking distance or a bunch or great restaurants and bars. Had a great time! Lance was awesome and very helpful!!
The house needed a few cosmetics, but it was comfortable and pleasant. It is about 50 steps from Magazine Street (unique shops and local restaurants). The Charles Street trolley is a short walk. The off-street parking and washer/dryer were a big plus. We spent four nights there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. After a day of sight-seeing and NOLA Bourbon Street crazy, it was so nice to come home to our own little neighborhood and go to one of the excellent restaurants within walking distance of this house. We would stay here again. I texted Lance a couple of times and he was very responsive.
Clean, contemporary flat with plenty of light and good quality decor (you can't tell from the pic that the sofa is leather). Thoughtfully fitted out with kitchen, bath, and leisure supplies. Comfortable beds (with metalasse covers). Kind and cooperative owner. The place is just off the part of Magazine with many shops and restaurants. St. Charles street car is nearby and Magazine bus is nearer. We'll stay there again.
The apartment was very clean and in a great location. We were happy with everything. It was easy to take the street car on St. Charles to the French Quarter or anywhere else we wanted to go. Magazine Street has tons of great restaurants and bars. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
Pros: Great location - lots of great restaurants and shops within a short walking distance. Nicely decorated, big bedrooms and comfortable beds. Very prompt and responsive owner. Off-street parking (a HUGE help in this neighborhood - street parking is hard to find), giant TV.
Cons: Thin walls (you can hear the neighbors when they talk at normal, inside volume); bathroom needs some work (shower faucets sticking out of the wall covered only by plumbers' tape; drawers filled with half-used personal products from prior guests).
Beautiful Uptown location that is just one house off Magazine Street. Fantastic shopping, great eateries, and loads of entertainment just steps away. 1 block to the bus route and 5 blocks to the world famous St. Charles Avenue streetcar line. Off-street parking, central AC and heat. Beautifully renovated early 1900s building.
$200 and up per night. 5 person maximum. No refunds. Only alternative dates at owner's discretion. No pets allowed.
