|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
This newly renovated, beautiful and spacious Wild Dunes home (located on one of Wild Dunes “Out Islands”) offers the best of everything – stunning South Carolina marsh views, wildlife galore, quiet serenity, a private boardwalk that meanders through the marsh leading you to a secluded beach (almost like having your own private beach!). This 4350 square foot home offers plenty of room for everyone to spread out and find his own special space.
From the minute you walk in through the large entryway you will be amazed at the openness of the design – almost a 360 degree view of the marsh, ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, and Dewees Island and Inlet. Space, space, space – from the huge kitchen (outfitted with everything a chef could ask for) with it’s dining table for 10 +, additional seating at the bar, to the bonus sun room located right off of the kitchen (perfect for curling up with a good book, watching TV, or just “hanging out'), to the extremely spacious living area with several different seating options (either watching TV, warming up around the fireplace, sitting in the lounge chairs overlooking the marsh, or working a puzzle at the game table). If you prefer to do your “at home socializing” outside – we have plenty of space for that too! There is the large screen porch located off the kitchen with comfy seating, a “hanging bed” screened porch off the first floor guest bedrooms, and the open deck off the living space with Adirondack chairs overlooking the marsh and Intracoastal. There are also two large decks located off of each of the upstairs bedrooms (each with 2 chaise lounges). All outside areas offer stunning views.
The two downstairs bedrooms have a shared bathroom plus another 1/2 bath. The first of these has a queen bed with a fireplace; the second guestroom is a Nautical bunk room with innovative “floating bunk beds” that sleeps 4. Take the curving staircase to the upstairs landing to one of the best views in the house -- and a perfect place just to sit, daydream or contemplate the stunning vistas. On the second floor, your family can enjoy a friendly game of pool in the poolroom before shuffling off to bed in either of two master bedrooms - one with a queen bed and jacuzzi tub, or the other, a huge master suite with king bed, ultra luxe Temperapedic mattress and shower large enough for two. Both of these upstairs bedrooms open to large open air decks. All of our bedrooms offer 300 thread count top of the line bedding, and each room has its own TV. And, of course, for the guest who wants to stay connected, we offer complimentary WiFi. On a case- by- case basis, renters may have access to an elevator (additional fee applies). We’ve also included the Wild Dunes “Sportscard” to make sure you have access to everything this great resort has to offer…although it may be hard to make yourself leave this special oasis of a house
I have been renting private homes for years through VRBO. This year we decided to try out Wild Dunes for my family, my sister's family and our parents so we needed a HUGE house. We found it and it was so much more than we were originally looking for. The location is absolutely amazing!!! The access to the "private" beach was so perfect and the marsh views were spectacular. The house truly felt like home. It was so well appointed and had more space than we needed so we never felt crowded. Beth and Brad were awesome and so helpful. I can't thank them enough. ALSO, we were able to enjoy the home and get back to our real home before Hurricane Matthew got there. 🙏🏻 We will definitely be back!
This home was absolutely beautiful. It was large enough for 3 generations to stay comfortably. It is beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. There are spectacular views from every window! We enjoyed walking on the boardwalk to the secluded beach every day. We also enjoyed using the Wild Dunes sport card at the swimming pool. The owner was very responsive. I highly recommend this home to anyone traveling to Isle of Palms!
Last summer, my family and I traveled from the Pacific Northwest to vacation in Charleston, SC. As part of this trip, my 85 year old grandmother (from South Carolina) met us for the week. Words cannot simply describe the wonderful customer service that was granted in renting this home. The transition from booking to walking through the front doors was spectacular. Each room in the cozy house had its own personal touch. Every night, we cooked and sat on the screen in porch listening to the sounds of nature and watching beautiful deer nibbling on berries. The best part was the ability to rent bikes and ride down to a very secluded beach w/ huge seashells! My teenage children were so excited to see dolphins swimming along with them. My father and husband spent hours crabbing and fishing. There was internet, cable services, a golf cart, and a nearby swimming pool, tennis courts, and shopping. Air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us cool and there are plenty of beds in the house. If we could afford to travel across country every year, this would be our home sweet home. You will be happy with selecting this vacation home.
I have stayed in this beautiful home several times in the spring, summer, fall, and now winter, and am only now getting around to writing a review! The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished and offers any amenity one could possibly want. The kitchen is well-stocked of pots, pans, and other cooking supplies, important to my husband and me because we both love to cook. In fact, this property feels more like a home than it does a vacation rental. After so many stays, we find it to be like a warm, welcoming, and livable second home without the expenses or headaches!
The location of the property makes the home even more desirable. Located in a cul-de-sac, it backs onto the marshlands and the windows in all the bedrooms face out onto it. At the edge of the driveway, there is a private boardwalk over the marshlands that leads to a lovely private beach. And while the beach is wonderful year round, we've enjoyed the surroundings most during the off-season with milder temperatures, lower humidity, fewer people, and undisturbed shores. We took long walks morning and evening, admiring all that the beach has to offer: the changing tides, local bird life, seashells, and the night sky without light pollution. Renting this time of year is also more affordable and does not require reservations far in advance. It is also a good time to visit Charleston without the crowds one might find in the summer. In fact, we were able to make reservations at the best restaurants for the same day.
This is a beautiful home on a spectacular property in a lovely community and I highly recommend it year round, but even more so during the off-season!
We celebrated our daughter's graduation from CofC at this spectacular home. Our children and their families are still talking about their awesome experience at this incredible location. The house is so beautifully decorated, the views are breathtaking and the home included every imaginable convenience. So much to enjoy - early morning walks to the beach, family dinners within an amazing kitchen/dining area, relaxing and taking in the views from the decks off the bedrooms or exploring the area with the golf cart ( the grandkid's favorite) - our time was magical!! My daughter said it was the best way to celebrate her graduation and we are ALL looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much!!! Gloria and Cary
