Great Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cabin/house in July of 2014. The owners were awesome and very accommodating. Our group consisted of four adults and six children, ranging in ages from 4 - 16. The house was spacious and well-stocked with spices, paper products, beach towels, etc. We loved the expansive, covered deck area and the campfire area in the yard. The kids enjoyed the swim area by the dock and the pontoon trips for fishing and swimming. It was an amazing week and we plan to return for the summer of 2015!

The small town of Cumberland offers some fun bars, unique shopping spots and some awesome local fish fry restaurants. The majority of our party are originally from Northern WI, so we so appreciated the small-town atmosphere we found in Cumberland! Even a visit to the ER was relatively painless when our 4 year old was sick!!!

A GREAT stay for any family with small children to high school aged kids!!!

Everything you need for a great time :)

  • 4 of 5

My family (two boys 5 and 8, 3 month old baby girl, husband and myself) had a blast. The home contains everything you need for fun and comfort- all the essentials like linen, soap, food staples/seasonings, paper products, etc were fully stocked above and beyond. For fun there were plenty of movies, games, toys and that was just the inside. The outdoor things like the swingset, sandbox, huge fire pit area (with tiki torches- no bugs!) and the water crafts- pontoon, paddle boat, canoe, kayak and floating platform were awesome and appreciated every day. We all caught fish on the lake itself, but the kids even had a blast just fishing from the dock- my 8 year old caught over 20 sunnies :)

Everything was clean and functional. Loved the icemaker in the freezer. Beautiful deck- almost a room of itself. We had some other family stop by and they had a great time as well.

The only thing that I would change at all was that when we arrived it was very humid and sticky in the house- the carpets and linen felt a bit damp even. Running the a/c really helped with this and made it all feel more 'fresh' for sure. But not a big deal at all as it was easily remedied.

We put deposits on the house/pontoon and received them back in less than a week after our stay- awesome!

We will definitely book this again if we go back to this area!

Great vacation cabin in Wisconsin.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the cabin. The cabin was wonderful and the outside deck area was fanastic. We had 6 adults, a 5 year old and a 9 month old, plus two pugs. We had plenty of room for all of us. The beds were so comfortable. The dishwasher made for quick cleanup. We ate as many meals as possible on the roomy deck and enjoyed the sitting area on the deck for gathering. Liked the furnished gas grill. We also rented the pontoon and it only took 5 minutes to get to the honey hole. We caught northerns (one over 10 lbs) and bass. On the dock we caught sunnies and blue gills, bass and northerns and a bull head. We tried the paddleboat which the 5 year old loved. We never got the chance to try the canoe or kayak which were also available for use. Had smores at night using the great firepit with plenty of furnished wood. Swingset and sandbox were a hit with the kids. We really liked that Cumberland was less than 5 minutes away for exploring and unexpected shopping. We can't say enough good things. The owners were so helpful and had everything we needed and more. We are already talking going back next year. Highly recommend this vacation home.

Ideal Lakehouse Setting

  • 5 of 5

This clean, updated lake home had everything we needed for a relaxing, fun vacation. A great layout for cooking and entertaining inside and out. The deck overlooking the lake is like another living area just made for relaxation. The beautiful view is right there as you cook or relax. The owners have thought of everthing! We never missed a day of touring the lake on the pontoon once or twice. Eagles, a heron, & a loon were daily company as we cruised around. We enjoyed "The Five O'Clock Club " one evening and we took a day trip to Copper Falls and hiked there. It was worth the 2 hr drive. Thank you Peggy & Tony for a wonderful stay! Rick & Kris

Our family had an amazing week at this lake home. This charming home gave the 10 members in our family plenty of room. The deck with the comfortable furniture provided a perfect place to relax and enjoy. With four children ranging from the age of 10 years to 1 year, it provided a lot of space to explore and swim. The toy area provided the children with lots of activities. I really appreciated the privacy and the large yard. The pontoon truly was another living room. Without hesitation, I would recommend this lovely home.
