An ideal place to stay and explore the surrounding countryside with plenty of bridleways and footpaths. Everything we needed was there and the only cooking we did was toast or warming milk in the microwave. Crooklands pub does good food but can be a little expensive. Kendal is a short drive away.
Our short stay
Wow! What a little gem this place is... Small, but beautifully layed out and decorated.... Ideal location and very quiet. Lovely touch to leave a bottle of prosecco for us on arrival. Will definetly use again. Thank you Emma. Xx
Very nice just what you need for them little breaks away
I would recommend this little gem to anyone who fancy a short stay in the lakes.
A cosy hideaway
Thank you Emma, we had a wonderful stay at Pear Tree Cottage. The Prosecco was a welcome surprise:)
Fabulously clean, bijou, neat and tidy accommodation. Well appointed too. Good location for Kendal and the Lakes, without being in the thick of it!
If we had been staying for a whole week, we would have appreciated an oven, but there is a comprehensive microwave instead. There is also an outside space with bench and table.
The Crooklands Hotel on the main road is an excellent choice for food and drink, it’s a 2 minute walk away, we can highly recommend it.
Emma was a great communicator, both by email and by phone.
Sat nav easily got us to Bobbin Mill Lane, and The Old Farmhouse, on the corner, is the first property on the left. Pear Tree Cottage just visible through the double metal gates. Parking available on the driveway.
A wonderful little find
What a great little hideaway . We will be back x
Cozy Lake District Retreat
This is a beautiful little cottage with everything we needed for a short stay. It was sparklingly clean and we we're thrilled with the welcome bottle of Prosecco left by Emma. The meal at Crooklands Hotel was excellent and it is a short drive to the heart of the Lake District. Would definitely recommend Pear Tree Cottage.
Pear Tree Barn is situated 1 mile from junction 36 of the M6,and just 6 miles south of the market town of Kendal.
It is ideally placed for sampling the delights of the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales. Kendal, also known as the gateway to the lakes has a super selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The property is situated within a short walk of the popular Crooklands Hotel which offers both bar meals and an a la carte menu. The village of Endmoor is only half a mile away and has a local shop and a bakery. There are a good selection of walks from the door including the canal path and a scenic river walk.
