We bought our home in 2006 and have spent the last six years lovingly restoring it. I am an artist and contemporary art gallery owner when you visit and stay in our home my passion for art is apparent throughout the house. We live in the house throughout the year and holiday in Ireland in the summer months. we would love for you to stay and enjoy our home and make yourselves at home.
This comfy and inspiring home in Cabra, Dublin, proves it's possible to have both a lively family and a house full of beautiful objects.
Elaine Grainger purchased this house in 2006

Elaine, a quick note to say thanks for renting us your lovely home, it provided us with a peaceful haven during a very busy weekend.
Perfect for an event we attended in Phoenix Park . THe house is located right near independent local shops with a green grocer butcher baker fishmonger and small supermarket and a couple of pubs. You can walk into Dublin - we walked to the Guiness factory . Parking was also handy in the drive
The kitchen was very well stocked
Highly recommended and I would return
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautifully restrored period property which is packed full of interesting artworks. The modern kitchen is a fantastic, sociable, light filled space, where we enjoyed cooking and dining after busy days of sightseeing. Our host, Elaine, was extremely welcoming and provided a wealth of information and guidance to help us make the most of our four night stay. We are very much looking forward to a return visit and would not hesitate in recommending this gorgeous home to those who would appreciate all that this property has to offer.
Home Stay 3/25- 3/28/ 2016
Nothing but rave reviews for our stay at Elaine's home in Dublin! Even prior to arriving, Elaine was wonderful and prompt in response to emails and questions. Upon arrival, she was there to meet us....very friendly and welcoming. And waiting for us in her wonderful kitchen ( even more spacious than in pictures) was a bottle of wine, fresh artisan bread and Irish chocolate! She had written instructions for the home as well as shopping near by...butcher , bakery , grocery all within short distance. We had arrived on Easter weekend- the Easter Rising as well- 2 Catholic Churches within walking distance. Offered suggestions for getting around the city. Nice backyard- was a little chilly to utilize the weekend we were there.
The home is perfect- bedrooms comfortable, bathroom with relaxing tub, and high- end shower. 6 of us stayed comfortably. Artwork fills the walls- a beautiful home. Would be our first choice when headed back to Dublin.
Thanks again Elaine to you and your family!
We - a group of 7 incl 3 children - enjoyed our stay so much! The renovated house has a lot of style, the winter garden is flooded with light and has a nice view on the garden. Elaine literally fulfilled any wish (thanks so much!) Dublin centre can be reached by bus, on foot about 30min.
Elaine, your home is wonderful. It was fully equipped for a family travelling with young children to enjoy a very relaxing week. We lived in your kitchen and garden, with the doors pushed back to enjoy the gorgeous summer sunshine. Our families and friends came to see us and enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you for sharing your home!
