Over 150 years ago this estate was home to a very prominent cotton plantation owner. Brandon Hall was also the site of the United States Natchez Trace Parkway Inaugural Ceremony which was held in October of 1937. Enjoy reading in our library and learning more about the Civil War and the South.
Within less than 10 miles of the estate, visitors enjoy touring historic homes, kayaking, antiquing, Southern cuisine, and so much more!
Our family is from Lafayette, Louisiana.

We have traveled to Mississippi for many years for family hunting trips. After stumbling upon Brandon Hall Plantation, we immediately fell in love with the estate and knew there is nowhere else on earth we would rather frequently vacation.
The wrap around porches, large columns, balcony with rocking chairs, old live oaks, beautiful gardens and the serenity of the property makes Brandon Hall Plantation such a unique vacation home.
We decided to stay at Brandon Hall for a group vacation during the Natchez Fall Pilgrimage. There were friends, family members, a variety of guests who came and went during our week at the house. We occupied the entire property, which was fantastic. We had complete solitude, except for an occasional check-in by the innkeeper Mike- which is exactly how we wanted it! The house is very private, but only a few minutes from town- the setting is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are like a park and the house is a piece of art right in the center.
Inside, the house is not only historically very interesting but also comfortable. We spent different evenings in different rooms, sipping cocktails and playing parlor games. we had a dinner for 17 in the main dining room one night. All of the bedrooms were occupied, but the house is large enough that even with that large of a group there were times where you didn't see anyone! There is a variety of antiques throughout the house, which are a feast for the eyes, as well as artwork, rugs, and a fabulous view of the grounds from every window.
We fished one day in the pond out front and caught about 20-25 fish throughout the day; all of which we returned of course.
The owner was a delight to deal with; giving all the information and communication that we needed, but not to the point of overload.
The pilgrimage in Natchez was superb and we saw many interested historic houses and estates, although none compared to Brandon Hall. We were greatly at the end of our daily outings to return to such a monumental home. Thank you again for a beautiful opportunity to stay...
