Dan and Cristy Wimer live in Joplin, Mo after the devastating tornado ripped our home town apart on May 22, 2011 we needed a place to get away, a retreat. This is the home we bought and lovingly furnished for our family and friends and we now are offering to share it with you.
Cristy Wimer purchased this house in 2011
We purchased this lake house as a vacation home. It shows in our decorating and comfort that we treasure this house. It is very warm and inviting. You won't want to leave. We have been coming to Beaver Lake for over 35 years. When we found Lost Bridge Village, we fell in love and knew that this was where we wanted to be.
Every Bedroom has a FULL BATH! We now have a New Fire Pit! Great for cool evenings and S'mores!
We are Motorcycle friendly! Paved Road and Huge paved driveway, parking area. We also provide supplies for cleaning your bike- just let us know in advance that you are riders.
The house is also handicap friendly- all on one level with no steps to get into the house and wide hallways.
The Beaver Lake Paradise was perfect for our family of 9! The house was pet friendly and offered all the needs for a family stay. The home is decorated in a lovely lakehouse fashion while at the same time modern and clean. We had plenty of room and especially loved that each of the four bedrooms had their own bath! We did a day trip to Branson, MO and shopped in the historic downtown area. We also did a day trip to Eureka Springs to visit the Thorncrown Chapel and the historic Crescent Moon Rooftop Pizza bar with a fabulous view of the Christ of the Ozarks. The drive up and down the mountain was beautiful during the day with awesome views of the lake. The owners were very responsive to our questions and with communicating with us through out the rental process. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for sharing your beautiful home with us!
The house was perfect, everything we needed was available. There was plenty of room and we loved the house. It was very clean and the layout was awesome. We sat outside in the mornings and drank our coffee, sat outside in the evenings to unwind. We used the grill and the fire pit. We couldn't of asked for anything else. It was PERFECT!!! We will be back...
We stayed for a week with a group of 8 on motorcycles, Very nice place to stay, Clean and well taken care of. Eating around the kitchen table was a blast. Nice bedrooms. We had a lot of fun. 2 comments I would make but I would not take any points of for is, I think the mattress are going to have to be changed soon as I think they could have been better. Also, this location is off the beaten path for people that are coming to ride the area like we did. 7 miles to get to the highway. That 7 miles is very twisty. It was a nice ride the first couple of times but did get a little long each way a couple times a day. But that is just a personal observation. Over all and one of the nicer places we have stayed in Arkansas.
We really enjoyed spending our 9th family vacation at the Bear's Den. My parents, my sister & BIL, my husband & our 11 year old daughter have been spending a family vacation around Arkansas in different locations for 9 years.
The house was wonderful. My daughter was thrilled to have her own bathroom, a first for her!
We absolutely loved the fire pit. We spent 3 nights around it telling childhood stories, roasting hot dogs, and marshmallows for smores!
The inside dining table with the turntable was great to play dominoes on. We enjoyed the awning over the outdoor table & ate supper there one night & played games too.
The rec center was a short drive away and we had fun at the pool & playing the inside games.
Thank you for a wonderful memorable family vacation.
Nice property, communication with owner was great. Several issues during our stay determined our rating. The ceiling light in the master bedroom did not work and only one lamp worked making the master bedroom very dark and hard to utilize. Owner was contacted, aware of the issue with plans to resolve ASAP. Refrigerator leaked, owner was contacted and again aware of issue. Denied access to community swimming pool by HOA even though owner assured us prior to our arrival that the pool and clubhouse was included in the rental (disappointing). Property described as TV in each bedroom which is true HOWEVER the bedrooms are unable to watch a different channel and could only watch channel chosen in living room. We have rented VRBO houses multiple times and this was our first time to have issues.
