Our home has a nice layout for a large family. We converted our garage into a guest suite complete with a full bath, kitchenette, bedroom and family room. This level has a queen size bed a queen size sleeper sofa and a laundry. Great for families members who don't do stairs. The first level has a large living room, kitchen with breakfast bar, and 2 master bedroom suites with king size beds and full baths. The upper level has a private bedroom with a queen sized bed and full bath. There is also a loft area where an air mattress can be used. There are flat screen tv's in every bedroom but 1 plus the living room and family room, this home is perfect for larger families who need a little space.

About Patricia Sigg
My husband and I purchased our home several years ago in Port Clinton and our 5 children and 8 grandchildren have enjoyed the area and all it has to offer. They love going to Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay, African Safari, Hollywood Casino, The Kalahari water parks, Kelly's Island and as you can see the list goes on and on of fun things to do on and near Lake Erie and the location of our new home makes it easy to get to all the great attractions
Patricia Sigg purchased this House in 2008
Why Patricia Sigg chose Portage
We loved the size as it was great for our large family.
What makes this House unique
It has plenty of room for the whole family as well as our pets. The family room and fenced in patio area are the favorite spots for the family to play games and plan where there going to go through the week.

Very nice clean vacation home. Beautiful lake view and great location.
Had a GREAT weekend visiting with my two sisters. Very nice rental located in Port Clinton but seamed like you were tucked away from all the of the city. Hope to stay again soon!
We are so very happy that you enjoyed our home as much as we do! We hope to see you again soon!
House very nice, Location very bad
House is well kept, clean and the owner very helpful. The neighbors are very nice, there is a drug store within walking distance, as well as an amazing park, and the deck does allow a small view of the lake. There is plenty of space for everyone to sleep. In the main area, there is only seating for 4 in both the sitting area and at the dining table inside. There is more seating downstairs, but that makes it hard for everybody to hang out together. The high ceiling and wood floors are beautiful, however they do promote noise throughout the house when there are children and many people walking around. The reasons we would never stay in this house again though are the train and the beach. There is a very loud train that runs consistently throughout the night blowing its horn multiple times every time it passes which made it hard for many of us to sleep. It was very frustrating. There is a beach within walking distance, however, you need to either walk along the water, which is filled with dead fish on the shore that never get cleaned up. There were maybe only about 8 the first day and by the end of the week there were more than 20 dead fish, with flies all over them, laying on the shore. If you choose to walk in the grass, since there is no sidewalk for part of the walk to the beach, then that is where you need to watch where you walk so you don't step in dog or duck poop, which is everywhere. Once you get to the beach, you need to keep an eye out for snakes, as the locals told us they are seen regularly, almost every time they go to the beach, and we saw at least four in a matter of 2 days. They were both in and out of the water. We did find another beautiful beach at the state park and were told Cedar Point has a lovely beach, however those are not within walking distance. The children did have fun at the pool and the hot tub, which are very close to the house. So as long as you are an extremely heavy sleeper, and are not interested in going to the beach near the house, the house is very nice.
Wow, I have owned and rented my property for the past 8 years and never had such a negative and I might add inappropriate review. I and my family sleep their frequently and have never had an issue with the trains ( which are not nearby) or the house being overly noisy. I have nine grandchildren so I would say I have some experience in that area, as for the beach as I tell everyone who rents our home, Lake Erie is fickle and it is a natural lake. If we get a Noreaster coming from Canada it will wash up dead fish and two or three days later they will be gone unfortunately I can't control the weather and we had some very heavy storms just prior to our guests stay. There are sidewalks from Waters Edge to the Public beach which the tenant is talking about so I don't know why duck poo or dog poo would be an issue. ( I myself have never had that experience) As for water snakes. If you swim in the sandy groomed area of the beach they aren't an issue. If you swim in the grassy and more natural areas you will see them. They are a protected species and are harmless if you don't try to catch them. I am sorry that our guest had a bad experience but as you can see all the reviews of past guests, no one else has ever had these issues.
Great location, wonderful house and just the right size for our family reunion!

Nice Rental with Constraints
Stayed a week with large adult family at this property during mid-summer. Property was convenient to many attractions in area and seemed to be in good repair with exception of sliding door handle (that we were able to work around). However, there were two constraints. First, parking, especially during weekend was restricted. Because garage was converted to living space, only two vehicles could fit in driveway and no street parking was allowed. A few guest spaces were available in the community parking lot, but this was often full during weekend causing several to park overnight in a nearby shopping complex. Internet/WiFi was the second constraint. Service appeared to be shared with other units in the complex and was unusable during most hours of the day. Simple web browsing and email, let alone streaming anything often an experience in frustration. Would not recommend this for any students or professionals who need to check in occasionally with the office. Due to location of house, hotspot access was plus minus as well. Highly recommend the McDonalds across the street if WiFi connectivity required. We would not consider this property unless service was upgraded substantially.
I'm sorry that you were unhappy about the parking situation but I always let anyone staying that there are 2 parking spaces available with additional parking in the community lot or at the Big Boy parking lot near our unit. This is actually noted in the rental rules and regulations as well so no one arrives without understanding the parking situation. As far as the internet we do have internet that is part of our association and we did have problems with it the week that you stayed due to severe weather. I haven't had anyone else notify me that there were any problems and My grown children and I are all professionals who have to check in with our offices on a daily basis. When we stay there we have always found the internet service to be more than adequate in staying in touch. Also the Grandchildren have Ipads and view videos etc with no problem so I apologize again for the problems you encountered.
My Husband and I have 9 grandchildren so we are always excited to get to the beach with the family and enjoy all that the area has to offer. My grandchildren love to go to Put- n- Bay and ride in the golfcarts and play putt-putt and all the other fun family activities that Put- In- Bay has to offer, They also love Cedar Point Amusement Park which is just a short drive away.. and has some of the world's best Roller coasters. ( They also have a great Kiddie Land for the younger ones).Bergman's Farm Market is a favorite with the whole family as there is nothing better than fresh peaches and tomatoes in the summertime. The African Safari is a fun family outing as well. It's nice to feed the giraffes. If you have a sunroof they even put there head in your car. There are so many fun things to do in the area that it's impossible to list them all and we are also just a short ride to Toledo and Cleveland so on rainy days we do the museums or the Casino's. Our Condo is perfectly located for this and is just the right size. We converted our garage into a suite with a private bedroom, kitchenette and family room area. There is also a full bath on this level. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms with king size beds and ensuite full baths a living room and kitchen and the third level has a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath. For a total of 4 Bedrooms and 4 baths with a queen sleeper sofa. From the living room you can watch the seagull's antics as well as from the front deck. The covered patio has an overhead fan and is great for grilling in the evenings. There is a grocery, pharmacy and Mcdonalds all within a short walk and The association beach access and pool are just steps away and there is a public beach at the end of the street that is great for walking your pet's or playing Wiffle ball and frisbee with the kids. If you like to fish we are just minutes from the local Fishing Charter's and Head boats. Come and enjoy all that Port Clinton has to offer.
