Be prepared for the apartment to have a very distinct smell as you walk in. Smells like at some point a very heavy smoker lived there. The apartment had very little glassware and dishes, bare minimum I think there was 1 wine glass in the whole place. Poor communication on how to get into unit.
Thank you for your review. After 10 years in the industry, I am usually able to spot signs of guests that will be unsatisfied; they usually do not read instructions. Usually, when guests do not read, they end up being flustered and frustrated, it is then difficult for them to have a pleasant experience. We took the time to give detailed instructions to make this easy for guests but if they do not read, and also do not communicate, there is little that you can do.
In specific response to the issue of smoking, our units are non smoking and we have owned this unit for over 3 years. You were not even inside the unit before you started complaining about the smell of smoke, you were mistaken. Even if a heavy smoker lived there in the past by your analogy, once a unit is painted, it completely eliminates the smell of smoke. As you could see on check in, the walls have been recently painted so your analogy is incorrect.
Again, if you check into a unit and found items lacking, you communicate. The rush to give a negative review appears to be a motivation for some and I see very little reason for that. I travel a lot and stay in places, if I am lacking something, I send a mail or call owners and get my issue resolved. We provided enough glassware; 6 each of champagne, wine, brandy and water glasses.
You had the direction on how to get to the unit, because you did not read and understand, you had an issue. When you called for directions, you were not also prepared to take directions and ended up coming the longer way to the unit. Our community straddles 4 streets and has 266 units. It takes some getting used to unless you follow directions. At the least, contact your host who can help with directions.
We take responsibility for our failings however, guests are human beings and some people are simply never satisfied.
Not enough information
Location was great! The unit is also nice. Check in instructions are a nightmare. Not all elevators go to the parking level, So the walk to the rental is very long and includes stairs. This was difficult for my parents who are older. We had 6 guests and even though we had to reconfirm this we were only given 3 Towels for 2 days!
Thank you for your review. We are aware not all elevators go to the parking level because parking is at the back of the unit. We have 5 elevators throughout the community. There are several that goes there and I understand, our building is huge and takes a bit of time. We are always happy to help with initial directions until you get a hang of things. We will make a note of this in our updated instructions and inform guests of complaints such as yours. Our unit is actually wheelchair accessible, the elevator closest to your unit takes you to street level on Lakeside Road. This is stated in our instructions. As standard, we provide 6 towels for the unit; three towels in each bedroom . We also provide a guest relations number in the event of any issues. We are not aware that this issue was reported during your stay.
Poor communication, owner is NOT involved with rental
This property is through a management company and the personal touch is missing. The directions on how to enter the condo and parking garage were terrible. A “representative” never met us, rather, we ran into a cleaning lady who did not speak English and closed the door twice on us. After finally getting someone from the management company on the phone, we were given access. The condo itself was in acceptable condition, however, we never had access to the pool because we did not have the code. Also, the bathrooms did not have bathmats making the floors dangerous so we had to use towels instead.
Great location for conference
The condo is in a great location, close to the marriot where our conference was, but also walkable to many amenities (grocery, mall, target, etc). It was a comfortable space for the 3 of us to stay. I gave 4 stars because there was mold build up along the window sill and a few extra linens would have been nice to have, but overall and nice place. Also, easy check in despite our late arrival.
Centrally located and super comfortable stay!
This location cannot be beat. Once you figure out the various ways out, it is super convenient! The accommodations themselves are very comfortable. The unit was not a pristine condition but that worked for us as we have two kids. We would stay here again!
A Horrible Experience
The help at check in was very rude. The pictures look nice and put together but there were roaches and holes/cracks in the wall. I wont ever book here again.
