Best views in Providenciales, elevated, away from it all, peaceful, private ocean deck, private snorkeling, sandy beaches, cooling trade winds and most of all ocean views, views and more views all around. This home is the perfect example of a Caribbean getaway. Private enough to feel 'away from it all' yet close enough to town. Perched on the ocean's edge with the most stunning views and some of the best snorkeling right off your private dock. I cannot imagine spending my time away from the US any place else!
Great for swimming, snorkeling, outdoor sports, mountain biking, jetsking, boating or doing nothing at all.
We stayed at this wonderful Villa last week.
Charlene was wonderful to deal with.
She met us at the Villa and was so helpful explaining everything we needed to know about the house, the island, restaurants and activities.
The house was in the best location. It was very quiet and relaxing. The view is truly amazing and you can stare at the clear blue water all day.
We went snorkeling and swimming many times right from the dock at the house. The water was always so calm, clear and shallow. You can walk so far out and never be above your shoulders. My seven year old was able to walk around right from the dock. We had a great time kayaking and snorkeling. We saw so many amazing fish just steps away from the house.
We are already planning on when we can go back.
Thank you for a great vacation
We booked the best view property for our 20th wedding anniversary with my 2 teenage daughters. It was our first trip to to Turks and Caicos and had high expectations. Not only were those lofty expectations met, they were exceeded daily. I could not have been more please with the accommodations and experience. Charlene, the property manager, was outstanding. She helped coordinate a special evening with chef, Taste of The Islands. It included a morning lobster dive and cooking/serving our catch for dinner. The meal and experience is something we will cherish always. Food was exquisite and meal experience special. The views are stunning and location perfect of us. The path to the water would be difficult for travelers with small children or elderly companions. We caught fresh conch off the dock and saw many fish. Great set up for our paddle boards and loved the use of the property's kayaks. The road in, as with most of the island, is little rough. Would highly recommend 4 wheel drive or a jeep. The property is a little dated in style but felt the decor was great. Bring bug spray and lots of sun screen. We will stay here again. Hopefully sooner than later.
House was nice, but as previous review there were a lot of steps in the house. My wife grabbed a bunch of white mats to throw near each step. otherwise since the tile is all the same you could easily fall because you cant really tell where the steps are...especially at night. Not good for small children.
The pool filter went the second day we were there and was never replaced, but they did have someone come and clean out the pool each day but it was never really clear. The staff that took care of the place did a very good job when things went wrong. Coffee maker went the 3rd night..but was replaced the next day. Many screens were torn, but they came in the next couple of days and replaced. A lot of lights were out but again they came in throughout the week and replaced them. Like I said, it was a tough week but we kept up a good attitude.
It is a long walk down to the dock and water and was never ankle deep as they stated...more like mid thigh to waist...but we had a great time taking out the kayaks and swimming when we were home. Most days we all went to different beaches and stayed all day.
I called ahead of time and asked Charlene (just for my own knowledge) how much over American costs for food, etc. I was told .50 to $2...its more like $2 to $7 Especially liquor and food...buy liquor at the airport before you board the plane. it is very expensive on the island unless you buy off brand. Food, make sure you read the date, there was a lot of food that were out of date especially the meat. We ate out almost every day. We had great breakfast at Hemingway's (starbucks coffee) and i enjoyed the fish tacos at several places. We tried many of them. Danny bouys was good too.
Also we took advice from another reviews about renting cars. we rented two 4wd vehicles. The roads are rough except for main road. and gas stations don't take credit cards.
Not enough lights in the house for night time...to dark. very few games, need more. TV went in and out all week. Had to have them come in 3-4 times to make the tv's work. some of us just stayed home for the day and wanted to relax indoors.
The kids (adult kids) gave the rating of 7-8, i give it a rating of 5-6. I am more picky than the kids. The other lady who took over for Charlene, since she was away, was great...she was always there to help and sent out someone all the time to get things done. Just remember, its island time.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Best View villa! We loved sitting by the pool taking in spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The whole family paddle boarded out to the islands in front of the villa and also used the villa kayaks. The kitchen was well equipped and many nights we dined al fresco taking turns between the deck and the covered porch. Charlene was a fantastic resource for places to see and restaurant recommendations. It was a delightful week and we look forward to returning soon!
This villa is incredible! The pictures don't even begin to show how fantastic this place is. Well equipped with everything you could need...all you have to do is pick up food at the nearby IGA. The view is amazing and a nice breeze all the time-more outdoor lounge chairs than you possibly sit in. Extremely private and relaxing... You will need to rent a car - advice is to get the tire coverage...the roads are not all paved. Pot-holes will allow to you buy a new wheel...yep personal experience lesson learned. You will not want to leave this place. Charlene is a wealth of knowledge and will assist you to ensure your stay is delightful. I would definitely come back.
This home is bigger than it looks...east wing and west wing. The number of steps down to the water is about 175....I ventured down there every day. Sunken den and some steps in the house...so keep lights on when walking through the house at night. We ate in for breakfast and lunch mostly. Great dinners at Bella Luna, Seven, Bay Bistro, & Hemingway's stopped at the da Conch shack on the way to the airport. We couldn't get into Coco Bistro....requires more advance reservations. I will miss my morning coffees and after dinner wine out on the patio...promise you will love this place.
We had been planning a trip with our two adult children and their favorite aunt ( my sister) for several years. We all love to snorkel and my sister loves to dive. We had been to the Caribbean but never to Turks/Provo. We absolutely loved it. The island, the people, the culture, the food and yes the HOUSE! We really felt like we were in paradise. The views at the villa are unlike any other place we have ever stayed. 'Eye Candy' every direction you look. Along with a constant lovely breeze. We lounged, we swam, we kayaked all over the bay and out to the islands many times. We checked out other parts of the island which were beautiful but nothing came close to the southern bay and Best View Villa. We spent much of our time at the house and exploring from there. You will find everything you want at the villa. Charlene was a gem; she gave fabulous ideas and tourist/touring advice. She recommended all kinds of restaurants and we tried many of them. The food on the island is very good. All five of us did not want to head home. It was quality family time reconnecting with my sister and our whole family. One of the best family vacations we have had. We all talked about going back again.....Joanne from Oregon/USA
This was hands down the best vacation we've ever been on. First of all, yes, the villa is amazing and big and has a pool and all that, but let's talk about where the villa is located. It sits in the middle of a peninsula on the south side of Provo. Why is that amazing? THE WATER!!!! 85 degrees warm, calm, no fish (except for the man made reef thats great for kids to snorkel around during high tide) white sand bottom, waist deep miles out. It is the barrier reef of turks and caicos. You can walk to the islands on the photos during low tide. And the best part? Its all yours. Nobody else is in it. It is very secluded, yet 15 minutes drive to the nearest restaurants and grocery store. Even at it's hottest weather there is constant breeze on the south shore so you never get hot. Charlene is a breath of fresh air, and knows all the best spots on the island. SOME TIPS: rent a small SUV, most roads on the island are dirt roads (we had a small sedan and were fine, but SUV is the way to go) , and bring mosquito repellent for the evenings, Chinson has the best Jerk Chicken and Patty Place is best for ice cream, and if you want your hair braided ask for Rose when you're at Patty Place.
Thank you Charlene for being a wonderful host. We will see you again next year.
Travel to the Turks & Caicos
Home to some of the best beaches in the World, breathtaking hues from inviting waters, and legendary diving, snorkeling and fishing, the Turks & Caicos Islands beckon you to an undiscovered Caribbean. Travel to the Turks and Caicos is easy and efficient. Just a short flight from the east coast of the US, our islands are a tropical classic, a throwback in time where relaxation is unavoidable and rejuvenation ensured.
Grand Turk is the capital island of the Turks and Caicos, its historical heartbeat, and home to a state of the art luxury cruise ship center. It is here that Christopher Columbus first made landfall on his initial voyage to the New World in 1492. Almost 500 years later, US astronaut John Glenn 'discovered' Grand Turk himself, after he became the first American man to orbit the earth.
Cockburn Town is the center piece of the island with a wonderful selection of historical buildings and a rustic charm that is unforgettable. It has the second largest population of around 3,720 people. Grand Turk is one of the main historical points of Turks and Caicos. You will find many Colonial style buildings and ruins, along with The Turks and Caicos National Museum.
Providenciales 'Provo' Turks and Caicos
Providenciales, or more commonly known as 'Provo', covers an area of 38 miles and is the most developed island in Turks and Caicos. It is here where most international flights arrive at the Providenciales International Airport (PLS). Surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches, Provo has been ranked 'Best Beach' by Conde' Nast magazine and by the World Travel Awards for several years running. Found on the western end of the island chain, Provo offers all modern conveniences, including luxurious villas and condos, numerous restaurants, spas and shopping facilities, a championship caliber golf course, and full service grocery store. Although Provo is the most developed of the islands, it is still a destination for those who want to escape their busy schedules and relax.
On the north shore of the island, near Grace Bay, you will find the most beautiful beaches, as well as a long coral reef, which is rich in aquatic life. This main strech is home to the majority of the island major resorts and tourism services.
Towards the south of the island you will find Chalk Sound, a large lake with striking turquoise water and an array of small cays. Islands Magazine described Chalk Sound as 'Beneath the radar: Untouched and off the beaten path, the pristine islets in Provo's Chalk Sound provide an ideal backdrop for expansive thoughts.' Along the south side of the island in areas such as Sapodilla Bay, Copper Jack, Discovery Bay, Turtle Tail and Long Bay you will find many private villas available for rent. The island's commercial port, South Dock, is found east of Sapodilla Bay and has the capability to deal with containerized goods
