This peaceful cabin is located on a smaller inland all sports lake (which is a great fishing lake) in the middle of the Hiawatha National Forest. This home is suitable for children and adults alike. The interior of the home is well appointed with a cozy "up north" feel. The are different areas to lounge, do a puzzle, play board games, or curl up and watch a movie in the evening. The house has a wrap around deck with an outdoor dining area overlooking the lake. There is also a fire pit located in the yard where you can roast marshmallows under the amazing starry skies. The home is located in the national forest so there are many outdoor activities available right out the back door. There are trails for mountain biking or hiking in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. In the immediate surrounding area there are so many trails for cross country skiing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and ATV riding. This home is located 10 minutes from Munising where you can find many restaurants, an awesome coffee shop, a grocery store, a bowling alley, and movie rental store. Also, there is a beautiful park along the bay on Lake Superior, where they often have live music in the summer and other various festivals. You are also situated near the note worthy and beautiful Pictured Rocks, with boat tours that leave from Munising. If kayaking is your thing, it is one of the most spectacular locations in Michigan and the surrounding areas to kayak! In addition to the Pictured Rocks there are a bountiful number to waterfalls to hike in the area. Some will take 5 minutes to see while others are a good hour hike to view. This is a place to sit by the lake and relax or fill your days with as many activiites that you can think of.

Not as close to the lake as it may seem
They were also doing driveway work while we were there which was annoying. Make sure you bring your own firewood it’s not included. 3/5
Very nice cabin in a great location.
Accommodations were very comfortable and clean. The location is on a quiet lake in the middle of the National Forest. Close proximity to Pictured Rocks and Munising. Highly recommend.
Great location, peaceful and quiet
A wonderful place to stay...way better than a hotel room. Loved having Netflix on the TV after a long day of hiking.
Modern cabin in the woods! Perfect!
This cabin was perfect for our UP getaway. We wanted to feel secluded and enjoy the peace and quiet of the UP and that's what we did!
The cabin is modern, completely updated (I loved the decor!) and very comfortable. Our family of 4 felt at home. Having a washer/dryer was a huge plus with the kids and the sand! Wifi and Netflix were a huge plus for us though not required. My husband and I did like to be able to watch a show after the kids went to bed. Otherwise, we spent our days outside!
The Lake was great for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. We all caught several fish and enjoyed seeing the bald eagle fly over frequently. The kids loved the sandy beach and shallow water.
We were close enough to town (just a quick 10-15 min drive) to get groceries, dinner or coffee if needed. (Of you go, the Falling Rock Cafe was our family favorite!) There were many bike trails (go to Grand Island for some adventure!) and hiking paths that we enjoyed nearby. (We saw SO many waterfalls)
The owners checked in with us prior to arrival to make sure we had correct directions and again via email about halfway through our stay. They were very nice and helpful and made it easy to contact them if any issues were to arise (we had none).
I would love to return-none of us wanted to leave! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great little cabin
We had a great time at this cabin. There was an issue at first with the wifi, but the owners were very helpful in getting that fixed. Our family enjoyed the lake we kayaked, canoed, and fished several days. We were very greatful to have such a nice place to rest after hiking at the National Lakeshore. I would recommend to future visitors that they pick up firewood on their way to the cabin. It isn't to far from town but it is a few minutes. Kitchen is well stocked and everything worked great. We would stay again if in the area.
