Please continue reading about QuailsEnd….

QuailsEnd is a beautiful and comfortable home built on 3 floors. There are lake and mountain views from nearly every window. The home has an open floor plan kitchen-dining-family room to allow for all your guests to cook and gather in one place. QuailsEnd has lots of room for privacy too.

Main floor (2nd level): Spacious lake view living room flows into an open kitchen design. Two staircases lead from the entry level to the second level. The living room includes vaulted ceilings, accent lighting , gas fireplace, comfortable contemporary furnishings , large flat screen TV, DVD, Radio-CD-player stereo system, Pioneer DVD speaker system for iPod and access to lake view sundeck with chaise lounge chairs. The dining area has a large table with seating for 8-10 with spectacular lake and mountain views, and adjacent access to side patio (lake view, of course) with additional outdoor seating for up to 12. The kitchen has a lake view, is modern and fully equipped and appointed. A breakfast bar has two leather bar stools. The Master Suite is located on the main floor. It has a tranquil lake view from the king size “Select Comfort Mattress” bed and master bath with Jacuzzi tub, separate shower area, and double sink vanity counter. The main floor also has a guest bath, patio area with patio furnishings and a gas BBQ, utility room with washer and dryer, sink, iron & ironing board.

Entry Level:

Guest bedroom #1 - View - Level access with artistic brick fireplace and accent lighting. Here you will find a queen size bed, flat panel TV, DVD, VCR, and radio-cassette-CD player stereo system. A special feature of this room is the glass slider door providing easy access to the lower patio and driveway area, with no steps. The patio is a lovely place to enjoy an afternoon beverage and watch the activity on the lake overlooking the garden and grape vines.

Guest bedroom #2 - Partial View - This level access guest room has a queen size bed and flat panel TV.

Guest baths: The lower level as two 3/4 baths.

Bunk area: This special private room with windows has an oversized pine log bunk bed. The lower bunk has a full size mattress and the upper bunk has a twin mattress. Adjacent to the bunk room is a small lounge area with VCR, DVD, games, microwave and small refrigerator.

The 300 sq. ft. room includes a queen size bed with flat panel TV, lounge area with flat panel TV and DVD, screened area with a twin size bed and view windows, and a cozy private sun porch to enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the quail and great horned owl.

About Liza Lange

Sverre and Liza fell in love with this property at first sight. We have owned rental properties for most of our adult lives and this one is hands down our favorite. QuailsEnd has been a member of the Chelan Chamber of Commerce since 2006.

Liza Lange purchased this house in 2005

Why Liza Lange chose Washington

QuailsEnd lends itself to the perfect getaway for family and friends. The main floor living area flows to facilitate large gatherings of people. The kitchen is fully stocked and many guests have commented on how much they have enjoyed the kitchen. The house is large allowing a place to bring people together and space for privacy. Lake views from every room bring a peaceful feeling to the house. And of course there is the lake! The slide from the dock to the lake can't be beat. Floating on an air mattress on the lake on a hot day is wonderful! As if that weren't enough, we have now added a pool heated to 84 degrees with a large view patio for gathering.

What makes this house unique

This area is known for 300+ days of sunshine each year, a growing list of wineries, and world-renowned golf courses. QuailsEnd is the perfect place to stay to enjoy all that the area has to offer.

A Beautiful Lake Chelan Property

  • 4 of 5

We had a very successful weeklong vacation with family and friends. I thought I'd be reliving my childhood memories by swimming in the lake which was 67° at this time of yr. (Sept) The wonderful pool was a great substitute – warm and relaxing. The Master Suite is as deluxe as you could imagine and the other bedrooms provided nice privacy for everyone. Beds were very comfortable. The elevator was a definite benefit moving in and out with all of our supplies. The kitchen was well furnished and supplied. The end of the road location is nicely private and pretty quiet. The front balcony provides a fabulous view of the Lake and on a clear night the stars and Milky Way are stunning. There is more parking than it appears, but it would have been nice to have space for my boat trailer which had to be left at the Old Mill Marina for $45 for the week.

The mooring buoy worked well and the Lake gave up a 2lb lake trout, 2 cutthroat trout, and 3 Kokanee.

The only reason for not including the 5th star in the rating was the length and steepness of the trail down to the lake which wasn't apparent in the pictures and description of the property.

Finally, Ms. Lang provided very good customer service and was very responsive to all of our enquiries. Thank you for a wonderful summer memory.

Amazing place

  • 5 of 5

We had our annual couples getaway with no kids and couldn't have picked a better home. It was right on the water with a dock and slide to dock the boat and relax on the water, a pool for lazy days to lounge and beautiful views from every window, plenty of space to play games, cook dinner and relax. We are definitely coming back to explore more of Chelan as we didn't have time to do it all. Our only suggestion is a second refrigerator as one isn't enough for that huge house. Definitely choose this beautiful home for your next vacation!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking time to review our home. The specifics you shared help future renters know what to expect and we couldn't be more pleased that you had a great time! A second refrigerator is a good idea. We will ponder where we might be able to put one. Liza

This is definitely a 5 star property.

All previous reviews are very accurate in their assessment of the property and location. The photographs are “spot-on”.

Our family enjoyed a great vacation due not only to this property and the area but, more importantly, due to the owners.

The Chelan Complex Fire that affected the towns of Chelan and Manson the weekend of August 15, 2015 impacted the first two days of our rental week. Due to power outages and road closures our family vacation got off to a chaotic start.

However, once power was restored, the property was cleaned and readied for our occupancy. The response was surprisingly quick. I was impressed.

There were other issues with the property that, I suspect, were due to the power outage and the resulting power surge. Again, the owners and the local management company immediately resolved those issues. I was impressed.

We have rented homes in California, Hawaii, and Florida. We have dealt with various levels of owner and management competence. With certainty, I can state that this property, the owners, and its local management are of the highest caliber.

Quails End Family Holiday

  • 5 of 5

what can I say; it was the perfect house and location to celebrate being with our daughters, son in law, and grandchildren. we all had such a super time at the house and outside on the docks with the slide. Manson is quiet and more laid back than Chelan, where we went ziplining, jetskiing, parasailing etc etc.

don't hesitate to stay at quails end, no matter what your age. PERFECT!

Wonderful Home For Family Gathering

  • 5 of 5

Quail's End was a wonderful place for our family to gather as our daughter and family were home from Spain. We were 8 adults and 4 children age 5 and under! There was room for everyone and we were very comfortable. It was especially nice to be able to find places to go for alone time: a hammock in front yard trees, a scenic bench on the trail to the dock, more seating even further down the trail, and a table and chairs on the patio off the dining room. Everyone liked to soak up the sun and view on the deck off the living room so it was more of a social place. It was fun for the little ones to walk with family to the park just down the road. It has play equipment and a little beach area. We enjoyed family meals together in the dining room, especially as our grown children did a lot of the cooking. We could all be in the kitchen/dining area to visit and not be in the way of the cooks! In that area you could look out windows in 3 directions, South, West and North, and see the lake! Pretty amazing. We took the boat trip to Stehekin at the far end of Lake Chelan and appreciated all we got to see. We did a little driving to see the "other lakes" in the Manson area and enjoyed a very nice family meal at Wapato Point Cellars Restaurant. We felt very much "at home" in Manson and Chelan as the area is somewhat rural. We felt blessed to call Quail's End our home for a few days and spent most of our time right there. It was fun to have access to a boat dock and a row boat. There does seem to be some current in the lake so we didn't go too far away from shore! At night the sky was full of stars and the neighborhood was quiet.

The home was lovely, clean and well stocked with all we needed. The owners were easy to communicate with and very helpful. The pictures are accurate but barely do justice to how incredible this location is. We knew it was a special place as we approached the property for the first time and two quail ran across the road!

We have great memories of Quail's End, would love to come again, and highly recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Quail's End was exceptional. The views from the home are magnificent and breathtaking. The home was very clean and well maintained with plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked and had all appliances we needed. Access to the lake was a big hit for the entire group, the water was perfect and the home had all that was needed at the dock. The owners were very professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. I would recommend this property to all types of groups, it is very user friendly for all ages.
