About the property

3 BD, 2 BA, Mountain Views And Plenty of Wildlife

This home has it all - mountain views, private stream attracting wildlife of all kinds, and gorgeous cottonwood forest -- on 5 acres, not a neighbor to be heard. Yet this home is just 2 miles from the town of Wilson.

Watch elk, moose and deer feed, socialize and sleep in the backyard, or take in mountain views while enjoying the wood burning fire. Nestled in the cottonwood trees along a private stream, this home has spectacular full views of the Tetons, Rendezvous and Glory Bowl. Moose, elk, deer, water fowl, eagles, foxes and coyotes are regular visitors and can be viewed very closely from the homes' multiple windows. All wildlife photos in this listing were taken from inside the windows of the home. Our guests are regularly astounded at the up-close and personal experience they have had in our home.

Kitchen fully remodeled; Master bedroom has king-sized dual select-number mattress, en suite full bath with oversized soaking tub and separate vanity area. Custom built in-closet systems. Built-in heaters in tub and vanity areas provide additional cozy comfort. Private stream just outside master bedroom attracts abundant wildlife; moose, elk and deer known to visit next to windows for once-in-a-lifetime, heart-stopping experiences. Enjoy your coffee in bed and take in the views. Flat screen tv/cable in master.

Two guest bedrooms, both with Teton range views and convenient built-in closet space. First guest bedroom includes 2 extra-long twin beds (these can be joined to make another king-sized bed). Second guest bedroom houses a queen bed, desk space, and room for a crib. Guest full bathroom is accessible from main hallway or from first guest room. Laundry room has energy efficient washer and dryer. A 'tomato height-right' high chair can accommodate sitting baby to a 50 pound child.

Living and dining room combination room showcases a wood burning fireplace, floor to ceiling windows opening views to the Tetons, Rendezvous and Glory Bowl and the meadows. With all those views, you won't have much time for TV, but just in case there is a large, flat screen SMART TV. Heat throughout home is baseboard.

Perfect for your winter ski vacation or summer mountain adventure. Located 10 minutes from either Teton Village or the town of Jackson. Close to all Jackson Hole attractions, such as Grand Teton National Park (20 minutes), Yellowstone (1 hour), Snake River launch points (5 minutes), hiking trails on Teton Pass, WY and Teton County, Idaho.

Private property manager available to help throughout your stay, stock the refrigerator or other services to help make your stay comfortable and convenient.

Long term bookings favored and appropriate rate reductions extended.

Beautiful, peaceful yet central location with amazing wildlife

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (2 children aged 8 and 10) loved our stay in this home. The home is cleverly designed to fit into the landscape around it - and takes advantage of a meadow and stream on one side of the house and great views of the mountains on the other side. Every time I looked out of the window I felt like I would see some incredible wildlife - and lots of times we did. We saw moose nearly every day, deer one day and elk another. I also saw a Great Gray Owl as well as a big heron.

The location of the house is also great for exploring the Jackson Hole area. The house is just outside Wilson which has restaurants and a small grocery store. Jackson is about 15-20 minutes away and has everything you could need. The ski resort is also close by - and we enjoyed the summer activities on offer there. The Teton National Park is very easy to access from the house - and offers great hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities.

The house itself is very comfortable. Plenty of room for a family of 4 - and I would say would suit a larger family or 3 couples as there are 3 good sized bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked and all appliances worked well. The owners also left hotel style toiletries in the bathrooms which was appreciated.

Although the house is set in a largish piece of land, and has a deck, it does not have a garden as such - the grass is left to grow tall - so it isn't that easy for young children to play outside.

We had a fantastic week at this property and would love to stay there again in the future.

Ideal vacation retreat

  • 5 of 5

My brother and my dad and I rented this home for a week in July and used it as a base camp to explore the area. The owners went above and beyond in all respects to ensure we had everything we needed. The kitchen is well-stocked with culinary tools and we enjoyed the use of a spotting scope and several books for the area. Oh, and we had several moose stop by and hang out in the back yard. Just a wonderful home and we were really grateful for the extra attention. I'd go back tomorrow!

Family visit

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a week. I loved the location as wildlife was seen very close to the house almost every day. (I learned to always carry my camera.) Wilson is a beautiful area with wildlife and the house has wonderful views of the Tetons, yet close to the town square for shopping and great restaurants. A lot of thought was put into the house to accommodate a family for a short or extended stay.

I definitely would recommend for all to visit......especially if you want to see a bull Elk with 5 female (cows) (in mating season now) walking by the house and a huge moose strolling by the house windows on their way to nearby Snake River. And what an experience to hear the bull Elk "bugling" to his cows ... at night... to get their attention. Worth the trip.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great vacation at Katie and Ed's home. It was really perfect for us in every way. We loved the wildlife that came around the house (moose, elk, ducks, etc.). The house was clean and well furnished with all the necessary supplies. It is so close to Jackson Hole, Wilson and Grand Teton that we went to all three almost each day. We also used Brushbuck tours for our wildlife guides to GT and Yellowstone and that was incredible as well. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute! We will definitely recommend to all our friends!

Best Family Vacation Ever

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had stayed at a resort in Teton Village our first time to Jackson Hole and were so overwhelmed by the beauty of the area that we knew we had to bring the whole family the next time. The only problem was that we're a family of five and logistically, just didn't make sense to try to hotel it. It's rare that vacations help a family grow closer, but this home definitely did it for us! Because of the layout, there was no "caving" with kids behind closed doors, but all of us together in the main room with views of the Teton mountain range out the window as we shared breakfast or dinner together. There were the family pool tournaments that inevitably ended in laughter at our lack of prowess as well as the amazement we shared about the wildlife that make their home nearby. Elk, mama and baby moose, and deer were an almost daily experience that always took our breath away. We probably would have seen more, but we weren't in Jackson Hole to stay inside everyday! The house is perfectly located for day trips to fly fish cutthroat trout in the Snake River, drives to nearby Jackson or hikes in Grand Teton National Park. A great place to stay!!

A Perfect Place to Stay!

Great location a short drive from GTNP, Teton Village and the town of Jackson. The house is clean, spacious, extremely comfortable and well stocked. Most importantly, it is situated in a quiet spot, with mountain views out the front and beautiful wildlife and bird viewing out the back. Owners very helpful and attentive.
