Why John or Pamela Sackmann chose Black Hawk

We fell in love with this area of Colorado while visiting in the summer of 2008, and after a few years of searching, found this home. There is so much to do here, that even though we visit as often as possible, there is still much to explore!

What makes this house unique

The views from the home are just beautiful. Even though there are so many activities to choose from, we also love just relaxing at the house and enjoying the mountains.

Cozy stay with great views and hottub!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic weekend at this property! You will want a 4WD high clearance car to get there in the winter (as the listing mentions) because there are some steep dirt roads on the way up.

The house is spacious and the fireplace makes it very toasty. The hot tub was great and had a wonderful view of the mountains, sunset, and stars. Comfortable beds and convertible couch. There are big sliding glass doors with windows above them that give a great view and we were able to see a large portion of the night sky from inside. Owners were quick to respond, nice, and left instructions with anything you might need to know for the stay. Lots of board games available and we found the kitchen had everything we needed. We would stay again.

Beautiful home.

  • 5 of 5

The photos don't do this place justice. The fireplace heats up the whole room.

I hope to come back someday.

Perfect one night getaway

  • 5 of 5

Celebrated my fiancé's birthday here for a night and it was the perfect place for chilling by the fire (in and outside), quiet and peaceful, great kitchen for making a home cooked meal and grilling on the grill. Thank you for sharing your home!

We had a wonderful stay at this comfortable home! We loved spending time in the hottub and around the fire pit. The close proximity to all-level hiking was prefect for our group. We hope to visit again soon!
