This two -bedroom two-bath adobe is perfect for couples or a family or a group of friends exploring Santa Fe's many riches. This renovated home is a sophisticated blend of contemporary and traditional Santa Fe, bringing casual elegance throughout. The home features beautiful hardwood floors, original thick adobe walls, and viga ceilings. Decorated with exquisite New Mexico art (both Spanish and Pueblo style) as well as traditional and contemporary furnishings, you'll be in Santa Fe style in no time.

Refrigerated air-conditioning, state-of-the-art HD flat-screen television (with premium cable, Apple TV), wireless internet, allow you to ease into perfect relaxation, with every modern convenience.

The large living room features a welcoming corner Kiva fireplace. You'll enjoy the room's light and serenity as you relax by the fire. The plush red leather sofa turns into a Temper-pedic queen bed ideal for two.

The kitchen is well-equipped with Elba gas range and Sub-Zero refrigerator, Keurig coffee-maker, granite counters, dishwasher, and all the accoutrements to handle gourmet at-home cooking. Enjoy outside grilling with new Weber gas grill.

About Fran

I grew up in Santa Fe and attended the nearby 'Garcia St. Club' as a young girl. I've always loved this part of Santa Fe and so pleased to own this authentic, yet modern, adobe. I left New Mexico to attend Stanford University in California and have lived in the Bay Area since, now residing in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco.

Professionally, I'm a veteran of several Internet start-ups most notably Match and TRUSTe (privacy solutions), and now Babierge, baby equipment rental platform.

In San Francisco, I often rent my home and my guests invariably remark on its comfort, style and art. I hope you will will feel the same at my house on Garcia St.

Why Fran chose Santa Fe

To me, Garcia St. is quintessentially Santa Fe. Beautiful homes and 'compounds' adorn both sides of the long boulevard as it climbs toward the Santa Fe foothills. My property is nestled in a historic compound with an exceptional setting and location.

This is my first house on Garcia St., I recently bought and renovated the house next door, Casa de la Luz (VRBO 859493), which is a larger 3 bedroom home. Together they make an idea "compound" for larger groups and families.

The home is quiet, warm and comfortable with all the authentic Santa Fe features you'd want: Viga ceilings, Kiva fireplace, hardwood floors and thick adobe walls.

This home also offers air conditioning, updated gourmet kitchen and bathrooms, large outside portal in back and private portal and hot tub off the Master bedroom. The home is expertly decorated and includes all the conveniences such as wireless Internet, HD TVs, and Sonos sound. Check out the incredible New Mexico art.

What makes this house unique

When you enter the quiet lane and you will immediately feel the serenity of the natural peace and quiet and take in the fresh mountain air.

On foot (and through the secret shortcut) you can easily explore the old adobe filled neighborhoods, jaunt over to Museum Hill, take an art amble on Canyon Road, and go to the historic Plaza - less than a mile - for the many restaurants and entertainment options.

During the winter, easy access up to the Santa Fe ski area (16 miles).

My husband and I rented this home for ourselves and another couple. We came in on motorcycles and the location was just perfect for numerous reasons: the motorcycles were in a safe location that was truly off the beaten path but we could all walk to the most desirable areas in downtown Santa Fe. We walked to the Plaza, down Canyon Road to art galleries and to El Farol for tapas and live music. The other couple loved the guitar and played every night, what a unique addition!

The home itself is wonderfully outfitted with new and modern appliances and remodeled to perfection with granite countertops and tile floors, new lighting and fixtures. The other couple had never experienced adobe construction and were amazed at how cool the house kept...we got to teach them a little about the hard trowel plaster walls inside that help keep it cool but are also beyond gorgeous.

On return from staying in the home, we went out and purchased the exact same bed for ourselves...we have been hunting a great mattress for years!! Thanks so much for the location, comfort and beauty of your home. We will definitely come back and stay.

Fantastic place to stay!

We stayed at Fran's property for four nights, and it was wonderful! The house is beautifully decorated. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was especially well-appointed. It was very convenient to be so close to town as well. We really did not want to leave, and I know for sure that we will visit again in the future. Fran is great to work with and very accommodating! I really can't say enough great things about her home and the town of Santa Fe.

Hopefully, we will be back soon!

My husband and I were in Santa Fe on business and enjoyed our time at this special house. It was very special and the hot tub was a wonderful way to start and end the day. Fran was great to work with. Would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent Stay

My sister and I had a wonderful 5 night stay. Very spacious and clean. Fran is very responsive to questions and our needs. She has wonderful tastes too in decor and design. We cooked a few meals there in the well appointed kitchen. We want to come back next year. Pet friendly too.

We had so much fun at this beautiful home we rented for the second time. The owner, Fran, has thought of every detail to make the stay enjoyable. This time I took my parents and they enjoyed the quality of the furnishings, well stocked kitchen, and peaceful patio. We walked to to the galleries and drove into the town nearby. This home is nice to come back to at the end of the day. The adobe style is so different and we liked it very much. We plan to come back again sometime.

Beautiful home, handy location and great communication

Our 6 nights at Gorgeous on Garcia were perfect. Fran communicated with us before and during our stay. Directions were excellent and the house is amazing. It is authentic, beautifully decorated and full of beautiful art and warm touches. We have used VRBO many times, but this is far and away the best place we have ever rented. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked and ate a lot of meals at home. The courtyard is very quaint and inviting and was perfect for the small dogs who accompanied us. I could not recommend Gorgeous on Garcia more highly. Thanks for everything, Fran.
